Every time again ... E3 rant topic.

It kinda bugs me when people turn a hobby into their whole identity.

Sorry bro. I read about video games all day long even though I hardly play them. I consider myself a hardcore gamer just like people are into hardcore porn. I don't casually play games. I hardcore OCD destroy their vagina holes.

PCs are grossly inconvenient as I need to carry around my laptop to do my business as a professional writer and my gaming is done on my television sets. I don't have room for a sit down PC.

Gaming consoles are also much easier for installment and play.

My PC is my TV. Hooked up on my main TV with a PS4 backup and Wii U/PS3 in the other room on another TV, with a Xbox 360 in storage. Plus I have a PS2. If you don't play the exclusives or emulate inferior versions of the game you are missing out big time. Luigi's Mansion is worth owning a Gamecube or emulating. Oh yeah I have a Wii which is a glorified Gamecube box. And a Vita. And a 3DS. You SUCK if you don't play these games. Period. Casuals. The true Master Race has absorbed all gamedom and harnessed its power.

It depends really. If your games tend to be PC-leaning (or you prefer the PC ports), you'll find more convenience in PC. Plus thanks to online distribution, installments and obtaining copies are a lot easier (plus consoles are imitating PCs in that regard badly with mandatory updating and installing for most modern games).

Good consoles (like the older ones such as the PS2 etc) were about plug and play. Newer consoles these days try too hard to be a mini PC when that's not what a console is (the only company that seems to not fall under that mistake is Nintendo so far).

The only thing that really disturbs me about consoles is how ... easy their users can be riped off by companies like Bethesda and the like. I am not calling them stupid or anything, probably just ignorant, there are many which have never grown up with the PC and thus they just don't know it better and fall on their knees sucking company dicks, beacuse they 'offered them something for a small fee!'. Yeah ... except that we PC users had that kind of stuff since the begining. For free. Hell some of it was acutally expected, like maps for mulitplayer games. But nowadays? You're already happy if you can get them in some cheap bundle. Oh hey, here have this update, and yeah we're kinda sorry that you can't play with your friends on this particular map anymore, since it was a small DLC that we threw out. But you can still enjoy all the regular content with them! Do you want some more dick to suck by the way? We have an offer, suck it two times for one!

Most of the online games for PC are also shitty though .
And that is why I don't usually play online games even though I am a PC player. :postviper:
Well the online components don't suck as much if you can get a local LAN or private server for a co-op game. It can even make a lousy game seem more fun than it is (i.e Resident Evil 5/6) and make a great game better.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory was even more fun thanks to a co-op playthrough with a competent friend and the base game was already great. Some levels do show a lack of effort on the developer's parts though.

Yep, and the best games I ever played with my firends were LAN games. We used to have a LAN party every weekend playing games like Age of Mythology, Medal of Honor, Starcraft, Mechwarrior, Dungeon Siege, etc. :postviper:

But now that I think about it, consoles usually come with at least two controller ports so you and another friend can play the same game together sitting there on only one console, only one TV and only having bought the game once.
I guess in co-op consoles win the round though.

Yeah, but only Nintendo gives a crap about console local multiplayer anymore. I was looking for some games to play with my brother, now that he bought a PS3, and all I could see were some splitscreens of the COD games. Only Fifa delivered and I don't even like Fifa.
Meanwhile, the Switch comes with two controllers

Best fighting games I played in the past were always in console, Tekken Series, Street Fighter series, Soul Calibur Series, Rival Schools, Samurai Showdown series, Marvel vs Capcom series, King of Fighters series, Mortal Kombat series (first and second were good, then the next ones started to get worst and worst), etc.

But a lot of it had to do with consoles, in some way a testing ground for stuff ... remember how much of the 'shitty' stuff used to be actually free stuff that developers threw out just for fun? Unreal Tournmanet for example, always gets new maps with patches, just for fun. In the mean time shitty companies like EA make a bunddle out of it that you have to buy for 4.99 or something.

Sure, PC gaming has it's shitty stuff too no doubts about it, but in general PC gamers are a more difficult bunch - in positive and negative ways, I mean we really can be some bitchy and whiny cunts who are spoiled. But honestly? It's better than sucking EA dick.
