Has nothing to do with the UK edition. The passkey found on the dead enclave trooper in Klamath is not for Gecko. However, there is now a use for it in my expansion. It's up to all you guys to find out what the use is. 8-)

I got it, tested it and came up with nothing. No crashes at all for me. Not sure what to say... Maybe fresh reinstall of everything?

did that and retake the duel with Lo Pan. Now he can shoot me without crash. I look forward to when I meet Morton gangs again.

Test something for me. Go to your Fallout2\data\sound\SFX folder (if it exists) and look for two files. The files are: "WAE1XXX1.ACM" and "WAE1XXX2.ACM" If they are there, delete them. Let me know what happens.
 
First off - great work Killap. You've breathed new life into a classic game. Your hard work is greatly appreciated by Fallout fans.

*spoiler alert* - read no further if you fear info on the EPA location

Is anyone else having trouble with the elevators at the EPA? I climbed down the air shaft and through the tunnels into the service level. However, when I try to use the elevators to access the subfloors, the game locks up and crashes. I'm using a clean, large install with the latest versions of Killap's expansion and fixes.

When it rains, it pours.....

More serious problem now - game is crashing after I kill off the Hubbologists in SF. When I try to exit the Golden Gate Bridge/Shuttle Pad area to the south, the game freezes up. I can reenter the Hubbologist base but can't exit south.

I've tried dismissing all party members. Reinstalling a large version of the game and switching to a humongous version. No good.

ah ha - i was not - just saw 1.0 as the official release and hadn't noticed there was a patch already. Thanks

no error now, but i still cant get the quest from the guy nor fix the well (just says " you cant repair that" when i try to use the bucket on it). My repair skill is really low, but i do have vic with me - he can't seem to repair it either. I feel like im missing something obvious in the UI but I can't seem to find a combination of actions with the rope or bucket and the well to make anything happen...

Be sure you first looked at the well and the message window says you see something wrong with the well. Then, start with rope. Oh, and please keep this discussion in the gameplay thread, since this is now a gameplay related question.

Sounds like you are suffering from the now infamous EPA crash. Not sure what to say. Not everyone has this problem so it makes it tough to get to the bottom of. Not sure what to say about the Hubologist crash either. Can you reproduce the crash? If so, please send me a save game file to the address found in the readme.
 
When you binocular a gang member (from encounters like "some mobsters fighting a gang") you get a description "you see nothing out of oridinary".
 
When I ask Vic to "stay here" while I infiltrate Navarro, he goes apeshit and starts gunning me down. Any reason for this? I can't remember sleeping with his daughter. Save available.

Another problem is that Marcus wouldn't join my full group, so I got that +1 to group-perk, and he'd join. But when I told him to "stay here" and then re-join he said my group was full. I manually ran falche and boosted my perk to (3) in Falche just to be on the safe side, and he now joins. I've also had problems with the game not recognizing that I have 10 ap. Sometimes I'd have 9, others 10. I've manually beefed that up in Falche and it seems to be working. Save not available.
 
Some bugs from v1.0

Hi all!

First thank u killap for this patch and to work so hard on fixing it! :clap:

I haven't applied u'r 1.1 patch yet but i have found these bugs in the 1.0 one. Sorry to mention them if they are already fixed. But i read through the 1.0 forum threads 28 pages an a bit tired to read through another 16 pages... :|

BUGS:
- If i got full on the travelling companions, the cyber dog from navarro can still join me. Then when i say any of my other party memebers to stay here, and then i try to get them back with the cyber dog previously with me, he can't join becouse I'm full. Then if i say to the cyber dog to stay, then the party memeber can join again, and then the dog too. Is it intended to be this way? (charisma 10 and i'm travelling with: Sulik, Vic, Cassidy, Goris, Marcus + the cyberdog, and haven't picked the perk for +1 companion)

- EPA: when i dl the botanical data from one of the computers i get the message 'error' but i have the holo disk in my inventory. And everything seems fine.

- Military Base: when i enter it, do some killing, then get out, wait some time outside and then get back in, all the enclave bodies pisappear and left only blood. I tought they were presistent...

I'm pretty sure that's a Falche problem, not a game problem.
 
I found a quite big bug at the enclave:

**possible spoiler**

as mentioned in the readme, the bomb there can be activated.
so, i just got through the puzzle room, went to the bomb's computer, and it said: i need a red keycard, and a residental pass. i had neither of them, and i could activate the bomb, and everythingh blew up :P
*edit: and after that, when i try to kill the president, with the superstimpack, or dinamyte+steal way, no matter what i use, when i want to traver with the stairs nearby, the game crashes when the president takes damage.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project Installer Version for Windows is still dated Sun Jan 06, 2008 2:14... will this change when you upload your changes? This will still be all we have to download?

I'm running Expansion 1.1 and haven't downloaded any of the files you've linked to in this thread.
 
Is there a change of loading the old save games,i have installed this restoration 1.1 on ur Killap's patch 1.02.21? or i need to start a new game?

Anyone made any progress with the car trunk bug?

I have version 1.1 installed, and like others the game is treating the car trunk as an inventory item (I click on it and an empty square shows it in my inventory). I can't put any items in the trunk.

If I try to drive the car or leave the map while the trunk is in my inventory, the game crashes with the message that others have noted, but if I drop the trunk anywhere on the map it doesn't crash and the car will appear "whole" again upon moving to the next area.

I'm pretty sure that's a Falche problem, not a game problem.

I can live with that problem, but I'd still like to tell Vic to stay put without him gunning me down ;)

Correct. There is another way to get in.
No, I mean I did manage to get it, but those doors should be lockpickable (I'm pretty sure I just made up this word), no?

Also, I've encountered a problem with Myron - whenever I get him from stables, I can still talk to him whilst there, but as soon as the dialog ends and we leave the location, he acts dead - I can't talk to him and he's not following me, but stays on the same place where he spawned on the map :?

Still it's all great fun. Funny feeling to play the game I completed so many times already and suddenly discover all the new things. Thanks for making my loved one new again :)

Sounds like you are not running 1.1.

Yeah, I haven't gotten around to it yet. :P I won't be updating the installer, but just adding the needed files to the fixes section of the sever. The first post has the link to this area.

Sounds like I forgot to put the checks back in when I was testing it. I will fix this.

This is an engine issue. If you want to use explosive/super stims to kill someone, sleep to pass the time. Don't leave the map as this will usually result in a crash.

I'm having trouble with it too. I can't add anything, and I can't take items out beyond a certain point. I finally gave up and just starting storing my stuff at the San Fran BOS. But it it a huge pain, I feel you there
 
Hello I'm playing through and found some bugs. Sorry if some of these issues have been reported.

History: Humongous Install (1.0) -> Restoration 1.0 + b-team & quick goris -> uninstalled 1.0 -> installed 1.1 + b-team & quick goris-> applied fixes (as of 1/19)

-Leaving Arroyo
After Kaga encounter, empty encounter immediately after.
-The Den
Residential: boy who gives Mom's quest, gives quest then instantly asks if you have any updates.
Residential: after defeating tyler's gang, lara gives 'meet us back' line, her gang disapears she gives 'meet us back' line again and disapears herself
