Hi, I have not had a chance to read the thread and check if this has been discussed.:

Just installed it :( auto installer, any ideas? UK FO2. Probably a noob mistake on my part somewhere :oops:
Is this when you double click the exe? What OS are you running? What happens when you remove the ddraw.dll (or sfall.dll). Be sure to backup the file first.

Hey there, killpap. I've been follwing the development of the project for a long time, and decided to start using it as of 1.2. Foremost, thank you for the work, and second, these are the bugs I have found so far:

- Ann thanks the player for saving the village even if you speak to her right after telling Connar you'll try to find a peaceful solution. Her dialogue trigger needs to be tuned a bit.

- After returning the doll to him, the floating dialogue for Curtis goes by too fast at some points. It is at normal speed otherwise.

PS: Sorry if either has already been notified, but the thread grew way too quickly. :shock:

Win XP SP2. This occurs after I start a new game or attempt to load one (cant even get to the select screen). If I remove ddraw.ini I get a City Limit error on start up. To be honest I always had to run FO2 in compatibility mode and now Sfall does not like that for some reason.

Hmm. Well, Timeslip added a fix in sfall that removes the need to manually set compatibility mode.

As for the problem,... This might be sfall related, but I'm not sure. Try and copy over a Fallout2.exe file that has the city limit patch applied.

Not reported yet, will be looked into. Is she giving float dialog or do you enter the dialogue screen?

Original game, not RP. I will look into it though.

Read your mind already: Same problem :(
Well, ok then it isn't sfall related. Bad install perhaps? Try and redownload, perhaps even reinstall the game, and install again?

Manual install works fine :) I will have another go at auto install tomorrow, so I can get my dog meat. Thanks Killap.

Hmm...ok. That's why I have a manual install as well. Glad you are up and running at least.

Okay, it was a noob mistake haha: critter.dat was not in my FO2 directory, sorry.

In the dialogue screen.

Oh yeah, just thought I'd mention it together in order not too double post.

Thanks for the attention, will keep on testing,

I really like the idea of changing the game version to a 3 digit number

I really want to play but every time i get on here it seems like there are new bugs constantly being addressed with manual downloads

So my question is if there is a way to see how really up to date the installer is at any time? If there is a list somewhere of the bugs with fixes incorporated into the installer of 1.2 since 1.2 was originally released? Sry for the trouble, thanks for the comments

PS: i am definitely an idiot, so to be sure, the 1.2 installer dosent need that unofficial patch right? It comes with it?

Sadly not. The problem is a result of the way the scenery objects are handled in the game.

I'm sure this could wait till more important bugs are squished, or maybe it's too much trouble, but what about removing these problem objects, or at least the common ones, and replacing them with something else?

Hey, killap, I think your server is with problems. I can not finish the downloads, they're stuck in 99%...
Since I use a download manager it might not be a problem in your server. But I have never experienced errors like this before.
That's what ithe download manager says after having downloaded a few bits(bits):

00:31:50 13/6/2008 [Sector 3] - Downloading
00:31:51 13/6/2008 [Sector 3] - Connection with server was lost
00:31:51 13/6/2008 [Sector 3] - Connecting...
00:31:52 13/6/2008 [Sector 3] - Connected successfully
00:31:52 13/6/2008 [Sector 3] - Downloading
00:31:53 13/6/2008 [Sector 3] - Connection with server was lost
00:31:53 13/6/2008 [Sector 3] - Connecting...
00:31:54 13/6/2008 [Sector 3] - Connected successfully
00:31:54 13/6/2008 [Sector 3] - Downloading

This is happening today. Yesterday, I had a similar problem when downloading your F2 patch.

I just re-downloaded the RP patch a minute ago,maybe it's your download manager. Try with Free download Manager. :)

Where did you download the file from? From the link in Killap's signature or from NMA? I tried killap's sign.
Free Download Manager is the one I use and have always used... :(
It might also be my connection, perhaps?... Shit, I use dial-up! Wasted almost all the dawn yesterday trying to finish this thing! I really want to play this. Guess I will have to spend some more hours...

Edit: Excidium, brazuca falando aqui! ;)

@Goweigus

My signature ALWAYS has the latest version of the RP with all the fixes applied. I should add a 3 digit number to the game and will probably start doing so. I think adding it to the rock at the beginning of the game will do just fine. Applying the fixes manually, isn't too bad, but I can understand if you don't feel comfortable with doing so.

And yes, the RP comes with the latest patch. But don't worry. If you try and install the patch (assuming you use the installer) it won't let you if you already have the RP installed.

@those with download problems

Server seems fine to me at the moment, so it might be something with the download manager.

Sorry to bother you again about your patch, Killap, but there are so many fixes there that I've already read before that are bundled up with the old fixes, I can't tell which ones have been added in the latest patch. Got a list of just the newest ones somewhere?

This belongs in the unofficial patch thread. Check that for what is new in every release. I list it there. Check the last 10 pages or so and you will find what you are looking for.

@everyone

I just re-uploaded the files to my server again. No new bug fixes, so if you already got the file after 4:00 pm on June 12, then you already have the latest release. If you got the file earlier, then either grab the fixes from the first page, or re-download the file. The change I just made was an edit to the rock at the beginning of the game. I will keep track of updates through it. Right now it says 1.2.1. As more fixes come in, this number will increase. I will not be updating the main menu, just the rock.

A strange thing: when I entered the Den Residential with my car, the car itself was parked in the West Side of the Den rather than in the Residential.

No bodies inside, just empty. If you could have both opened and closed versions, that would be nice. As for appearance well I suppose they can be rusty, but not too much.
