Shooting through the closed door in Slaver's Camp is a bug if it is happening.
The left part of the wall where the door is (doorway) still has the shoot through flag set to yes, it hasn't been fixed.

More on the doctor in EPA:
Code:
{400}{}{One moment. before you go, I have a question I wish to ask you. }
{401}{}{Hey, thanks. Um, what is it?}
{410}{}{It's a Gatling Gauss Gun, or GGG, as I call it...
It should probably be something like:
{400}{}{One moment. before you go, I have something I wish to give you. }
{401}{}{Hey, thanks. Um, what is it?}
{410}{}{It's a Solar Scorcher..., obviously

Is flying the Vertibird dependent on if a certain amount of time have passed in the game, say, not before the tribe have been kidnapped, or something?

cheers

I don't know if FO2 at all distinguishes between accidental and intentional hits? I've on many occasion accidentally hit someone during battle and have their friends turn hostile.

Heh, it doesn't, but it gets worse. They not only turn hostile if you accidentally hit one of them, but also if one of them accidentally hits you or a party member. I've had plenty of instances where during a battle, a merchant party guard accidentally hits one of my party members, and without my ally actually firing back, they all start shooting at us. I guess I should mention this is in the vanilla FO2 as well.

hmpf .. damnit i finally got the english version of fallout 2 and it does not work :(

could someone please give me a step for step description of what to do?

first--- I delete fallout 2 and everything related
second--- I reinstall Fallout 2 D/Program Files/Black Isle/Fallout 2

third--- I Run the Exe file of Fallout 2 Restoration project.1.2

1. Did you mean "humongous install"?
2. Is it the UK or the US version?
3. What OS are you running?

Try this:

1. Delete everything.
EDIT: Also delete the Interplay/Fallout stuff from the registry (using, for example, "regedit"). Since you had a German version installed previously, maybe there's some strudel left there.
2. Make a MINIMAL FO2 install.
3. Start FO2, and say what it says on the title screen in the lower right corner (should be a version number).
4. Download (yes, again; it's been updated) and install the F2RP 1.2 installer; no optional items (except "missing children").
5. Start FO2, and say what it says on the title screen in the lower right corner (should be a version number).

Oh, well that is probably why I could not fix it then. I didn't realize the flag was set. If you guys are aware of other things like this, do tell.

Well, only the verti from Navarro can be flown. So, since Navarro only shows up when the tribe is kidnapped, that is when you have the chance to fly.

Problem is I like the WIP ones since they look more like cryogenic chambers from 50's science fiction. The new ones you made, which are absolutely awesome btw, are too alien-like/futuristic. Still, I shall think about this some more.
Fine then. I'll make similar chambers, since I don't have source files for this version. But how they should look (empty, with body, with skeleton, rusty, clean, opened, closed, etc.)?
No bodies inside, just empty. If you could have both opened and closed versions, that would be nice. As for appearance well I suppose they can be rusty, but not too much.

Wow. Uhhh.

Major bug with The Abbey. I'm not sure how to describe it.

Black screen, that leaves after-images of the mouse cursor and characters(you and party members only) when they move, and only the trunk of the car so you can't leave.
Works fine for me. How have you installed the game?

I also had issues with Den church guard corpses being stuck in the wall after I killed them for Lara (especially if they got sprayed with lead by my SMG) - and thus impossible to search. Is that an issue with the Restoration or with the original?

Quick question:

Is it normal that people constantly get hit for "no damage"?

Got the same problem :) but they died just in front of the door,without any kind of clipping but still I couldn't loot them.Except for Marc,was able to search his body just fine.

Did you modify anything in the ddraw.ini? This was an issue if you tried to run the tweaked ammo calculation by Glovz, but was not a problem when using his ammo mod. All are corrected now by using the latest Timeslip tweaks. The ammo mod problem was corrected before 1.2 was released, so that shouldn't be a problem anymore - it wasn't for me at least.

This is something that has always been in the game. Bodies quite often get lost under carpets, etc.

Is this happening with every shot/hit?

Do you have the latest RP version install? 1.2 with recent updates?

Are you using the AP Ammo Mod or Tweak? If yes then what type of weapon and ammo are you using? What type of armor is the npc being hit wearing?

Hopefully, killap has included the latest dll from Timeslip, there was a bug in the Tweak that got fixed only recently.

Yes,lastest RP 1.2,with all fixes on humongous US fallout2 install. the AP ammo Mod included in the install,in the latest occurrence was attacking a Metzger guard with a SMG,with normal ammo.

Should I reinstall the game this time without glovz ammo mod?Would that affect my saved games in any way?
Your saves will be fine by reinstalling without an extra selected.

Hmmm, did the problem occur with other guns as well?

Jeez :crazy: you guys post quick on this forum! :mrgreen:

@killap

Yes,hitting Golden Geckos or people in metal armor with spiked knuckles would sometimes result in no damage inflicted.Some of lara guards attacking Tyler's with spears were hitting for no damage really often too.

:clap:

This might be a new problem then. Initially I noticed punching would ALWAYS result in 0 damage and the ants in the Arroyo temple would always hit me for 0. Glovz fixed this though and everything seemed fine. The only other test I did was use a spear which also did damage correctly. Didn't test with weapons though.

But you actually don't have to reinstall. Just open up the ddraw.ini and go to the bottom and change the ammo mod option to 0.

I have the Humongous size downloaded, if that's what you mean.

Ok going to try that and see if it's fixed :)

@Excidium
So often but not always?

If you turn off my mod (just adjust the ddraw.ini file setting) and try again, does it differ greatly?

There are a lot of factors to consider, how you setup your character is one of the biggest.

My mod is designed to not change things so drastically from the original.

When you say regular ammo I assume you mean JHP?

No damage is also always a possible outcome, with my mod on or not.

Windows XP.
Hmmm. Well, it sounds like something got corrupted. Perhaps redownload, copy your saves to someplace safe, reinstall, and then copy the saves back? :?

Perhaps start a new character and then do a quick run to the Abbey and see if you get the problem again?
