Bug?: Banging Slim "Heh Hee Hee" Pickett for the trapper town key doesn't seem to increase the sex counter. I still had the Virgin of the Wastes rep after that.

EDIT2: Curious, it's a bug because it freezes transactions as long as it's on the table. If they don't want it, a message ought to pop up saying, "I don't buy lit flares," or something.

Floating Text Bug: Billy at The Hole is supposed to say "I'm uhhh, tired, please let me go home and uhhh, sleep..." (node 523), but instead he says, "error"

@encinodude
I'm not going to get into wether or not the flare thing is a bug. The big thing is in my opinion if any fix is done it shouldn't cause them to buy a lit flare. RP strives not to change but to add and on the realism side i don't think a shopkeeper would buy a lit flare any more than they would buy an empty pop bottle (they don't recycle in the wastes). The flare is used up why buy it.

The only thing I encountered so far and I hesitate to call this a "bug" is that, after convincing Aunt Morlis to give me the flint without three healing powders in return, she tells me "Sorry! I must have misplaced it.". Nevertheless I end up with a flint in my inventory and 50 EXP.

I think that's the answer she would normally give if the flint was stolen from her which I most certainly did not do.

…if i was a shopkeeper i wouldn't want to buy a burning stick of white phosphorus either. I wonder if they would do the same thing with an armed bomb?

ROFL! Imagine the following dialog:

Shopkeeper (staring at burning flares on counter): "I'm sorry, but I don't buy lit flares."
The Chosen One (placing a bundle of primed dynamite on counter): "Ok, how about this, then?
Shopkeeper (ducks behind counter): "Thanks, but I'm not interested in armed explosives either..."

It's not a bug or anything. It's like that on purpose... being the asshole that she is, it's the only way she can give it to you without being actually nice. So she says she "misplaced it" when she actually just gives it to you.

If a primed grenade is among the things you are offering when bartering, perhaps the "offer" button should read "offer you can't refuse"?

I think the shop keeper would be smart to buy lit flare after the above scenario. That would be a great fix for this issue. Thnks for the perspective.

Edit: I keep reading your scenario and can't stop laughing. that realy needs to be in the game.

not sure if this is more relevant to killap's patch, or mash's resolution patch. either way, this seems to be a bit of a bug/problem.

so far, the other chests i've come across were inaccessible but these three in Klamath are very much available for the looting...annnnd they replenish. inside each container lies the entire inventory of the main vendors in town.

Thanks, I wrote it between fits of laughter prompted by your response to encinodude. I don't know how anyone managed to keep a straight face while reading those "lit flare" postings. An instant classic. I almost peed my pants.

It's just begging to be added to the wiki: "Shopkeepers seem unusually reluctant to purchase lit flares and armed explosives."

Bug with Torr's radscorp quest, moved from gameplay thread:
killap said:
Save games please. No rly. When you guys find bugs, please provide a save game. It makes things sooooo much easier for me.
Fine, here you go. I left one scorpion for you to kill.

I have one save earlier in The Den as well
What I have been able to see is that if I go directly from here to Klamath, everything works fine. But if I go to the eastern map of The Den before going to Klamath, the "Guard the brahmin" quest will fail even if done correctly.

I don't know if that's the only way of triggering this bug, but it's what did it for me, consistently.
Strange...

I'm always here to bring laughter to a gamer. Also i just tried selling an armed bomb, the shop keep would not buy it so i decided to save it for latter(armed bombs come in handy) and it blew up on me! i think that may be a bug?.....actually when it blew up it did cause a ctd(break point error) I will have to look into that more latter.

Shop Keeper: Hello, how may I help you?
Chosen One: I just armed this dynamite, would you like to buy it?
Shop Keeper: No, I have enough of those right now.
Chosen One: Oh well. I guess I'll hang onto it, I may need it later.
(One minute later) BOOM!

This is the result of the resolution patch. It removes the scroll blockers so you can see way outside the map and get to places you normally couldn't.

ok, that's what i thought. i'll be sure to post that to him. anyway, how 'bout this one:

sometime around the saving of modoc and little johnny, sulik and vic start walking AWAY from each battle/confrontation. i've even gone into the combat and clicked "custom" to try to fix it, to no avail. thoughts?

Are they crippled? Use doctor on them.

hehe. well, i'd be pretty surprised. i've been playing this game since it came out and i've never seen anything like this before...i always keep those guys pretty healthy. i'll check though, just to humor ya.

EDIT: both have crippled limbs. i've NEVER had that happen....wtf could that be from???

You did fall down at the Ghost farm or perhaps the toilette. That kinda hurts you know. :D This is the result of the RP. There was non-functional code in the original game and I fixed it. You and your party members were supposed to get crippled limbs depending on how nimble (ie your agility) you are.
