Sorry for off top: Is there are some kind of patch that change the size of in-game fonts? Texts are very small if the resolution is more than 1024*768.
I tried to find it but i failed...
 
Why Goris do not want to join my team?
He says we do not share same ideas.

But:
- my karma is over 2k
- V13 idolizes me
- I am neither Berserker or Childkiller

Do you have the cult of personality perk?

yes I have
so it does affect Goris? strange

No, it means I made a stupid mistake in my logic...Interesting that no one noticed this before - I guess no one takes that perk. I'm going to have to look into this further, but it seems all followers should have had this exact issue. This may not be the case though. What other followers do you have?
 
Well I picked up all followers and mostly left them to "wait here" until I passed the game. I was playing only with Miria (+Miria mod for RP)

In first visit in V13 I couldn't pick him so I decided not to but then after passing game I decided to collect all NPCs but strangely I still couldn't pick Goris - so I posted here.

and all happens again if I have this perk and tell Goris to stay then I cannot pick him up.

and I notice that wiping out hub stash doesn't effect hub connections, apparently hubology stash makes great Player HQ :)

Hmmm, but you were able to recruit them? When did you get the cult perk? Was Goris the first follower you tried to get with that perk? If so, then I believe I've pinpointed the issue.
 
I am sure that I had this perk and took Myron, and after visiting V13 (after game completion I manage to get Cassidy before going to Goris).
I picked up all of them having this perk but only Goris did not want to join me
(only not Dogmeat as he appeared as I was driving for Goris just now :P )

and as I wrote in my prev edited message this affects talking to him if you have Goris, then took perk then told Goris to wait - you cannot pick him up again

Hmm, alright I'll look into this further. Seems odd that only Goris is affected by this, since at an initial code glance my logic seems flawed in a way that all followers would be bugged. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
 
HELP

I am not very good with computers and even worse with windows vista. I downloaded fallout 2 from gog.com and was having severe problems with saving the game so I took my saves and kept them. I uninstalled fallout 2 and reinstalled it... Now I am trying to add this patch but it says I need to put it in the installation directory file. I only have a data file with maps in it and a sound folder with music... I tried putting the patch in fallout 2, in the data file, and in the maps file with no luck. If you reply I am going to give an email and sending a reply to my email would be awesome. If you must post on this site then do so. I have been looking up how to do this but I am having no luck. Anyone that could help would be my hero. I hate being 1/4 the way through a game and not being able to finish especially with vegas coming in the next year or 2...

The installer for this mod looks for the fallout2.exe Wherever that file is located is where you should install the mod to. This file should be in your main Fallout2 directory - where the master.dat/critter.dat files are located. I suggest doing a humongous install of the game to ensure everything works correctly.

Goris problem should be fixed. This issue did not plague the other npcs. However, I did go through all the scripts that had the cult of personality code added to them and I found a few where the logic was inconsistent. All fixed now. :)

To avoid confusion, the Gog version has it's own installer, it automatically does a full/ humongous install.

That's not the point :wink:. Killap's a perfectionist. He will not tolerate obvious errors in the RP even if they effect only 0.00001% of players. :D

And really one of the best things about fallout 2 (in my opinion) is changing the way one plays it throught every time. But now that this was mentioned here, I dont think I have ever taken cult of personality perk myself... Maybe I should on some playthrough.

I cant wait to be able to play F2 with RP1.3, but I know I`m not the only one. Just take your time Killap, we`ll be here waiting because getting more (and new) Fallout 2 experience after all this time will be worth the wait.

Don’t worry, plenty of bugs will slip through, they always do. It gives him something to work on for RP 1.4.
As for the enhanced maps, I’m hoping you guys can find all of the discrepancies I’ve left in. I know I will be busy fixing maps for a while yet…

Pixote, when you enhanced the maps did you just edit the existing ones or recreate everything from scratch? The way you and killap have been discribing this modification it sounds like a major overhaul of the artwork.

I think I got this too, long time since I played RP 1.2 so I can't remember properly.
Gonna quote myself here, I'm sure this is happening with RP 1.2, is it going to be fixed for 1.3? I didn't see any reply.

To be clear, the only mod I was using at the time was the RP, and every weapon except the Pulse Rifle does minuscule amounts of damage on Frank Horrigan (even the 'Gauss Rifle -> Eyes' combo does like 5 damage maximum).
