I could swear that the book lavender flower sometimes just is nowhere to be found in den. I know the 4 places where it is supposed to be. Is there an easy way to check some file or something in the save game folder to see where the book is or that the book actually is somewhere.
 
I can't say I'm sorry for the snowstorm but it's fate, you know? Our prayers have indeed been answered. Keep up the good work killap!
 
I honestly didn't play any of the RP before since i never had the time to re-discover fallout and face new bugs, etc. However i've been waiting for this 1.3 version for quite a while and i'm getting uber excited to play it.
 
If you have a bag (item that you can open and carry items in it) then quest items below it in your inventory are not removed when they should be (like when finishing quest, brining item to npc, etc), they stay in the inventory instead of being removed
 
IMO:
Bags should be removed from the game if the bug cannot be fixed properly.

Obviously if the user knows of the bug they can manually cause the bag(s) to be the last item in the inventory but; if I remember correctly, part of the bug is also when quest items are put into a bag that they are not removed.

In which case it just lends weight to bags being removed from the game.

Might it be possible to recreate the bag feature by in-game scripting or sfall scripting? So, kill/delete original bag feature and replace with custom?
 
All bags have been removed from the game. It is still possible to add one with an inventory editor though.

Another big snow storm headed my way. :crazy:
 
Toronto on it's way to a record winter for the least snowfall ever! :o

And here I thought Canadian winters were bad. :P

@killap: there is a case when charisma memory module does not give +1 effect (if you started with CH:10 and lowered it with for examle injected combat armor (Assault Enhancement) - is it going to fixed or left as it is ?

@Hubologist Stash errors: items misplacements:
- 3rd floor underground: one bag of money out of reach
- "robot parts", is this one pickable? I got nearly 200lbs free to carry but still cannot pick it up!
- there is a BACKPACK, which suffers from same as BAG bug I suppose so I assume backpack will be removed as well ? :(

@killap: according with http://user.tninet.se/~jyg699a/fallout2.html it was possible to finish both quest: "Kill the Shi emperor." and "Kill the AHS-9." by killing first AHS9 then going and report it to Ken Lee, then killing him and going report that to AHS7 (AHS7 seen apparently Ken Lee as Shi emperor). But I just tried that and killing AHS9 crosess out both quests. Or maybe I am mistaken and it was not touched in RP?
 
save game problems?

hey i heard great things about your mod, but i installed it and now none of my saves work :(

i had version 1.2 and a res patcher installed before i put your mod in and it worked fine. lol lotsa hours lost here, can anyone help?

all my saves are still there but it sayes

Error loading game!
Unable to load game

Is this the vanilla version of the game (ie no RP installed before)?

If so, you must start a new game to use my mod.

Just backup your saves, reinstall the original game and continue. You need to start over to use my mod.

If you don't mind waiting for a little bit, a new, much-improved version of the Restoration Project will be released shortly.

I'd highly suggest you wait.

This is the wrong thread for this question. But offtopics are fine, as long as you include something on the topic in the post, at least that's what I do. :roll:

For Fallout 1, there is a restoration project coming, and nearly no completed mods. But you can still try the NPC mod, it enables you to put armors on your NPCs and to tell Dogmeat to wait.

For Fallout 2, there are loads of mods, and loads of more are coming. I suggest the Megamod, though it is a little buggy, it introduces a huge amount of content, from the very Temple of Trials.

Also, always use the unofficial patches, both for Fallout 1 and Fallout 2. For Fallout 2, it fixes more than 800 bugs, and the new version that is yet to come has a good amount of changes. I think it's coming along with the next RP.

Did you recently test this? I thought I had a fix in place for this in RP 1.2...

There are less and less items on the to-do list. Hang in there everyone.
