edit: o there is more then the edges, the color also not fit. so i will make it from zero.

I really don't know about this. It's an original art, and consistent with the other drawings, sure but you should ask the original author if you can include this imho. From the snip posted with the image i get the feeling the guy isn't exactly proud of this drawing. Also, while there is no inoffensive way to draw this i think this image scores over nine thousand on the big offensivenessmeter. It's your mod though, so feel free to disagree. I doubt including the image will keep anyone from installing RP.

Hi. I generally dislike mods, and I didn't care for Restoration Project until I have read about this pregnant woman ovary-kicking picture being included, but now I am really interested.
I only hope that there is more content like this that I can look forward to when this mod is released, and not just some dull boring crap that plagues other mods.

Also, pardon my French, but what's with all the girly fags crying over a picture like someone just killed their mother?

Hey, that's a cool picture, too. I don't see what it has to do with the Fallout series, but I do like the attention to detail of the rendering. Also, I wouldn't suggest including this in the Restoration Project mod.

I don't know if it'd be right to include the picture. Sure, it's cool, but if the original devs didn't want to include it, it was for a reason. I think the RP should aim on restoring what the devs didn't have time to put in the game, not stuff that was ditched because they didn't want to put in it on the first place. I'm sure they came up with other and more sick concepts before, but that doesn't mean it should make it in the final product.

Maybe it should be an option?

Mmm... Bah, it seems everyone here is pretty excited about the pic and want to include it no matter what, so ignore me

Mavi, the part of this thread was vatted for a reason. Don'r repost the bait. Strike.

Tolknaz, don't feed.

How can you tell what the developers would or wouldn't have ditched if they had the time? The simple fact is nobody knows, not even the developers because they didn't have enough time. All that developers made to be included in the final game is already there, even the few things that were actually not meant to be included, like the Den's residential area.

Aside from that, the mod-maker makes the decision of what will be included, and it would be a shame if that picture were left out.

Oh and Silencer, my posts are not bait, they are my opinion. Thanks.

I'd leave it to the opinion of who created the pic. It seems like they didn't want the pic to make it in the game.

Of course, Killap gets the last decision. If he wants to include it, he's free to do it. After all, he's giving it away for free, what a Fallout patriot :)

I don't know if you've ever been into the development of a game, but there are tons of ideas that get ditched out but they remain in the contents or data files just in case they want to include it again. If the developers had thought about an uber-futuristic alien city to be in Fallout 2, and didn't include it because they thought it wouldn't fit the setting at all, there's no reason that the mod should include it. What if they even came with the Fatman concept(It would be horrible) first and decided to leave it out of the game?

But after all, it's just a pic. No big deal. I'd be worried if it was something bigger or game-breaking :|

Yes, just like they didn't want other stuff from this mod to be included in the game. That's why it's not there. :)

Agreed. :D

The picture was left out not because the developers didn't want it, but because it would raise all sorts of issues with people whom can't mind their own business and those who dislike freedom of speech. Just imagine what bullshit "mothers against" groups might of raised if their child brought him some game with a picture like this.

Its ridiculous. In an ideal world, most art would contain whatever the creator wanted and they would not have to worry about someone getting their panties in a twist.

Those of you who object to the Restoration Project should stop coming to this thread. There are MANY people waiting patiently for the amazing work of Killap and anyone else who has given their time to this project.

Thanks again Killap and anyone else for all the hard work, and I will be patiently waiting for the announcement of 1.3!

Exactly, goffy59! And to that, I would like to add those losers who constantly bitch about new content being added, because they want to play the new version now.

If it's that hard for you to wait a few more weeks, maybe it's time for you to step away from the computer and get out of the house every once in awhile. There is a whole world of real people out there that you could be socializing with instead of wasting everyone's time on here with your redundant posts.

Strike? Hardly:

Well, I guess boring trolls are more fun than waiting for the RP. :?

Oh God... Why raise so many questions about that simple picture?!?! Here, a simple solution: if you don't like it, don't play the game. If you like - play the game. And... let's remember how you get that picture? You kill a child in Fallout2... So, for those who think that the picture is too much, will probably think killing children in the game is too much too, so they won't see the picture the game. And if you like killing children in the game, but don't like the picture, than you a re a hypocrite. Will this settle it?

I don't understand all the bitchin'.
Seriously, in a version of the game you are able to kill children, isn't that offensive enough? The drawing just shows a abstract way of this ability.

This picture *should* have been included in the version of the game where you were able to kill those children and removed in the version where children did not exist. Simple.

As the mod uses the version where the children exists, the picture should be added to the childkiller trait/perk.

works on steam

just wanted to post that RP 1.2 works on the Fallout 2 steam version.

(make sure you delete the auto added "new folder" in the filepath when browsing to you Fallout2.exe during the installation.)

Great work!

I think killing children is offensive. And the picture is offensive. But I still think the picture should be in the game, I mean lets face it, Fallout 2 has never been the most politically correct game in any sense. That does not make it morally bad game, it`s just a game that lets the player do morally bad thing. You don`t have to do morally bad thing, when I play the game I don`t kill kids in it (I mean I used to, when I was younger, not anymore) but it is a choice for everyone to make on their own.

Personally I think that the picture should be in the RP because it is offensive, and getting the childkiller perk is something that you get after doing something that is morally wrong.

This is Fallout 2 were talking about, a game where you can make choices. Do you make the choice which gives you the chilkiller perk and that picture? It`s up to you really.

For fucks sake, it has been mostly a gushing praise so far. There are no real oponents to releasing this picture. One guy was saying that the pic might rile the media (unlikely). One guy was saying, that it probably was left out for a reason but did not elaborate much on the reason. I was just saying, that the picture is autentic and all, but the artist should be asked for a permission. The response of the childkillers to these posts has been owerwhelming so far is what i'd say :P
Anyway releasing this should be up to the artist and killap.
