On a related note, what about advanced power armor? I know that's not normally an issue until after you finish the game, but still.
I forgot about that. I believe that when any npc is wearing Adv. Power armor they look just like the player. It just wasn't worth the time to make each npc custom in this...

Ah pity. Oh well, it's not exactly necessary anyway. :D Would be nice with the armor scavenging mod though, provided it remains compatible.

This is actually good. Since the NPC's can't use all weapons (as they should, imo), having them look like the player when using APA means they can use all weapons that way.

So in the first 2/3 parts of the game, when they really can't access most mofo weapons, or have high ranks in their related skills, it's ok to have them look like themselves and enjoy the new visuals.

Then, in the final parts, when Sulik using Gauss Rifle or Vic using Plasma Rifle are needed, there yo have them (I for one WILL dupe APA's for them when I get it). Melee/SGM Sulik or Grenadier Vic in the endgame are a no-no.

I'm not a fan of NPC armour mod, nor original, shitty looking critters (like Vic, or half-naked Sulik). B-team mod is fixing stupid design decision (because party members can change appearance). I don't have this issue with Katja or Ian in Fallout, since they're fitting very well into the settings. I can't say the same about new (and awful) critters added to Fallout 2.

Hey, just throwing it out there, but we could have a recruitable NPC that is gay or transsexual, and comes up with funny catch phrases. :)

I've noticed these:

If you talk to Marcus and ask him about pregnating a woman, he responds by asking "Didn't your parents explain this to you?". But the voice actor says "folks", not "parents".

Also, in New Reno you lose the "Virging of the Wastes" perk if you use the prostitute who improves your speech skill. But it is only talk, shouldn't remove the perk.

One quick question for Killap: will the three new NPCs have their own unique looks for armor or not?
Sorta. One does not at all and looks the same no matter what is worn. The second uses critter frms already in the original game and thus changes looks with whatever armor is worn. The third uses new critter frms, so just like the second, changes appearance with whatever armor is worn.

Poor Dex getting the shaft.

Heh, yeah. But be happy that a few custom FRMs were made to allow for him to really function at all. :)

[spoiler:8f87792464]Yeah we're talking about stuff that none of you probably know about  You will soon though! [/spoiler:8f87792464]

I bet you it's weeks away. That's simply the nature of such a large project, worked on by few in their free time. If I were you I would lean back and be pleasantly surprised if one unsuspecting day in April or May it suddenly appears.

I don't know about this, but I'm pretty sure that Killap is sure that it will be out before March is over.

And then there's always something left to do, and time passes faster than expected, so there's another deadline broken. It happens to me all the time, mostly with small things.
