killap, what do you think about using resources and modifications of engine from FOnline project in your after-2.0-version of RP? Is it possible? I really don`t know are this resources and modifications free or not. But If authors could share this, it may transform Fallout to better side (just look at the 3rd video of Fonline blog) without loosing it atmosphere.
Sorry if I say something stupid...

BTW which custom animations have made their way into this release?
All of these are in the extras section of the installer:

-The rifle and wakizashi animations (by Josan12).
-Smoking animations - smoking a cig, etc is now animated (by Josan12)
-Improved Cassidy talking head (looks better than the one that came with the previous releases)

The appearance mod made by Mash also comes bundled with this release. This means it's possible to play as a "long hair dude" (thanks to the work of Josan12, x'il, and others) or even a black dude.

I have a question concerning the new NPCs' appearance.

Will they have a unique look when wearing an armor or will they use the B-team mod?

I suppose you really didn't have the time to work on their look. :)

All party members have a unique look. The only real exception is when Vic is wearing power armor - he looks exactly the same as the player. However, occasionally he will take off his helmet and you will see his fat head. Myron in power armor might look like the player as well, I can't remember at the moment.

The new NPC appearance mod is awesome and a big thanks goes out to Josan12 and everyone involved in that project.

I highly recommend everyone to choose that option in the installer.

The original B-Team mod is no longer part of the RP - thus no more having NPCs use all the weapons the player can. I also don't plan on supporting the B-Team mod.

Did you also solve the bug with the old NPC armour mod preventing NPCs from leveling?

Since the B-TEAM mod is no longer supported by RP, I guess the answer is "yep" :P

On a related note, what about advanced power armor? I know that's not normally an issue until after you finish the game, but still.

I believe so.

This is really bad news.
How so?

I forgot about that. I believe that when any npc is wearing Adv. Power armor they look just like the player. It just wasn't worth the time to make each npc custom in this...

So when can we expect this masterpiece? :)
It's gettin' there.

The latest unofficial patch is coming right when the latest RP comes out, right?
Correct. I could have released the latest unofficial patch earlier, but I was holding off in the event any vanilla bugs were discovered - some were.

EDIT:
On a related note, I'm currently making the unofficial patch "compatible" with vanilla 1.02 save files. This way those who are playing 1.02 and run into a bad bug can actually upgrade to my patch and their save games will load. However, this means that any saves made with previous versions of my unofficial patch will no longer work. It's a tradeoff worth taking though.

Ah pity. Oh well, it's not exactly necessary anyway. :D Would be nice with the armor scavenging mod though, provided it remains compatible.

Hey there - first time poster here =]

Firstly, killap, utterly amazing work - when this entire thing is finished, you'll have created one of the most impressive and comprehensive game mods I've seen in a -long- time!

Secondly, just a quick question, you're including the Cassidy talking head as an optional extra - am I right in thinking that you were going to include the Metzger head too?
And on a similar note, am I right in thinking that you had intended to add "New California Ranger" & "Sheriff of Redding" reputations also? (Or was that just suggested by someone else within the community?)

Anyway, keep up the amazing work - I can't wait for release ^_^

When it's done, I'd consider adding it as an option.

I never personally suggested this. I don't plan on adding them either...unless proof exists that it was intended.

Thanks for clarifying - cheers!
