Voila!, solved it, many many thanks everyone.
How?
Now I've done a perfectly clear install again, BUT, with the auto-installer and added the extras.
I believe that was it, the manual installer doesn't have those special armours or something is missing and it causes problems.
How on earth it got on my HD in the first place? No idea. T'was a sleepy night...
I know it's been a while since this previous post, but I had this problem of a wasp following me instead of Sulik, and he was wearing a Leather Jacket.

As far as I know, the problem was that I used a previous saved game from the RP1.2, that I kept after uninstalling Fallout2 that had the NPC's Armor MOD installed. But in the fresh install I hadn't installed that MOD, so the solution for me was simply installing that MOD, and then Sulik reappeared with the Leather Jacket dressed, and no more wasp...

I've found two things playing this time around with the Restoration mod that I never ever experienced in years of vanilla play:

1. the back room in Vic's house is locked and I cannot even begin to unlock it with a %35 lockpick skill. It's batter-proof, as well.

Note: a perk for battering too many doors down would be humorous

2. I have been stealing all over the place with a %15 skill like I've got a 300. I never get caught. The only place where people seem to be on to my tricks is the primitive village. What gives?

Stealing has always been way too easy in the Fallout games. The Primitive Village was added in as part of the RP, so the NPCs there may have special scripts attached to them.

Yeah, one of the few things that would annoy me in the RP if I wan't sneaky is that damn door between you and the Pipe Rifle.

Killap, if there was a key around Klamath somewhere or from Vic when you ask about the radio, it'd be nice. Maybe a simpler option than dialogue would be to drop a "Vic's Shack Key" in the corner of his cell. Otherwise the only way to get it is to get your lockpick up a bunch by which time the rifle's not worth it or
*spoiler* blow the door off its hinges with the Molotov the town greeter carries or the Dynamite in the Rat Caves. *spoiler*

Vault 15 levator problem

I have encountered problem with elevator on the third floor of Vault 15. When I entered elevator nothing happened, but my character disappeared behind wall. I was using older RP and armor patch. I tried to install RP version from June 9th, but this is bugged already. :?

Is there anyone else playing this on Windows Vista 64bit?
Because I am, and it keeps closing every 1 - 2 hours of gameplay, and gives me a Memory error, like the ones I posted earlier on page 32. And it's always a different error (memory address or instruction, I guess).

Does anyone have this same problem?

Please give me some feedback...

Minigun Jim,

I eventually used explosives I stole with the quickness from the mayor in Modoc. Did Killap code the door to be harder to open? If so I don't see the point in making the door something one would have to be at a higher level to open, or be overly inventive with.

As for stealing, it's gotten much more difficult now that I'm in Gecko, but I was able to steal a few Pancore Jackhammers off the veti-assault team.

--They each have 2. I feel that this imbalances the game too much because if the player was able to steal himself 6 Pancore Jackhammers not even halfway through the game, he'd be able to trade up for things in the NCR which might have been unavailable previously.

I can pick that door with 46 lockpicking(playing on Easy, haven't spend even a single point on improving it).

@ZiggyMeister: I'm on Viśta x64 too and I've not seen that error yet. But I'm not sure my gaming session lasted that long, I'm currently out of free time...

You got SP1?
Maybe ask on The Hotfix Share for a memory problem solving hotfix, or at Start64.com forums.

In Klamath the Duntons, When I have the two evidences to show whats her name nothing shows on her dialog. Once I've killed the Duntons then its ok. But when Duntons attack the hole town supports them if there in range? Is that normal?

Found another issue,

In the Den the new map you guys made. Far left where you try to remove the squat dudes from the future orphanage. One guy ran off the screen and I can't get to him. I'm going to try to install the resolution patch for FO2 and hope that I can see him hidding.

Thanks for your reply :D

Yes, I have SP1.

I will see if they can help me on that forums...
But as Killap didn't answer my question I imagine I'm the only one having this problem, so maybe I have some defective RAM module, and as I'm using Vista x64 maybe Fallout2 is filling the all 4GB after 1hour of gameplay, and revealing the problem!

I think I'll have to run some DOS memtest program, but as I don't have a floppy drive on this PC I will have to get the one I have on my old PC.

One thing I'm certain of is that if I take the file SFCHINA.SAV from a save after talking to Juan and Vikki, but before resting to get the crash, and then open it in The Mapper or Dims Mapper and save it (without doing any changes), then put it back in the save slot, I can no longer make that save crash.
If I understand this correctly, if I don't speak to Juan and Vikki, the crash won't happen at all, right?

But then, how would I get to the Hubologist stash? IIRC the guard there asks question which require you to read the Jan-Vikki holodisk... Or am I wrong?

have we figured out wtf is up with this chinatown crash yet? i'm in that mental place called "so pissed i want to fucking scream" right now.

game just crashed and froze my computer 5 times now. five times of attempting different ways of getting around this bullshit.

I take it you have chosen/refused to join the Hubologists and are attempting to leave the Shuttle map back to China town? If so, then sorry no update on this yet.

well, that's one of the things that happened. but i had another where i couldn't enter chinatown from the worldmap. date was about 2244 january.

from that same position, i entered the docks...that was fine. then tried to enter chinatown from the docks...and it crashed.

this second one i circumented with a previous and different savegame...but...is there any way to do any of the hubologist missions (i.e. killing them) without this crashing?

EDIT: update. now i can't even leave SF and return...PERIOD.

Did you choose/refuse to join the hubologists before this happened?

Killing them is fine - just don't attempt to join them.

first off, do you mean "and/or" or choose and then refuse? secondly...no. unless you mean in NCR. is that what you mean?

I mean or. Like they offered and you joined them or they offered and you refused to join.

I mean in San Fran. So, you joined in NCR then? Interesting. This shouldn't cause problems like has been observed in San Fran.

well. something's going on, my dude. i'm trying it all without the car next. to see if that changes anything. if this doesn't work...can i send you some savegames?

ok, i've had it for tonight. but i'll be pm'ing you tomorrow. if you see this before i get around to it, please pm me your email address.

NOW...i had it all figured out, and i went and got the vertibird plans. did NOTHING with the hubologists. nothing. i get back, hand 'em to the BOS, go down to level one...realize i forgot one of my memory modules, go back up the elevator...and guess what?

it fucking crashed.
