I had the same problem.

Wenn enter Abby, on the bottom of the map there's a shack, hardly to see or enter. Left side of the exit grid.

 

hi, i have played this for a while now again, but my game freeze every time i try to go to another location in towns, (green exit grids)

but i can walk in to towns whitout problem and walk out, but not "further" in town

i habe read everything here and se some have same problem but i cant get it to work must be something wrong in savegame for me,
started to do this around ncr i think, but then i restared and it worked for a while, then it came more often, and now i cant do anything..

i have uninstalled and reinstalled eveyrhing

my comp is P4 4ghz
4gb ram,
8600gt graphic card,
windows xp,

Could it be the "too many items bug"?

 

and how do i fix that ?

one bug and one suggestion.

Bug: During the ending scenes after destroying the Enclave, I get a bit about how the Bishop family takes over New Reno. Problem is... I killed them all except for Mrs. Bishop.

Suggestion: It would be nice to see what modifications have been done to the car when looking at it. Not just how much the battery charge is.

 

Did you happen to sleep with Mrs. Bishop without a condom in your inventory? If so, that's probably why.

 

Hmmm. Good idea. And perchance a new sprite showing the nice new alloys and blower. I will look into this.

 

Hi. I'm using the Restoration Project 1.2

My problem is that Karl in the Den won't tell me his story. He wouldn't the first time I was in the Den and not when I come back from Modoc to find out about him either. The only dialogue options I have are give $100, beer, booze and talking about the GECK and some garden. When I pursue the garden thing he falls asleep.

Playing a female with CH 4, INT 10 if that makes any difference...

 

yes i have been there, (both places) and was some where after that i started to have trouble i think,

and u sont release V1.3 i think i have seen some where here, will it work whit my old save ? (if i get them to work) or must i start from begining ?

This happens when you piss him off. What you need to do is first pay him the $100, leave conversation, talk to him again and the "What's your story" option is back.

It sure sounds like the "too many items" bug. Have a look at this list. If you have too many of those items your saves will start to get corrupted.

It works like this: If you, your NPC's and your car goes into a town with too many of said items or if you acquire them in there, the game can't save the state of the map properly once you leave. You will not notice it's broken until the next time you try to visit the place, then the loading symbol (spinning globe) will freeze and the game will crash.

Removing most of the items will stop new maps from breaking but won't fix the ones that already are broken. You can sort of fix this by going into your savegame slot and replace the broken map save with one from a working save slot. You must have been to that location in your working save first though, otherwise that map will not exist in that saveslot. (ie to fix chinatown in San Francisco, take the file SFCHINA.SAV from a working save and put it in your broken saveslot.)

Your saves will not work with RP 1.3. If everything goes as planned, it will have a fix for the problems you've been having, but at the same time it will make earlier saves incompatible.

 

Did you the first time you talked to him ask for his story(4), if not he never tell anymore.

 

I guess not. When I enter combat mode I see him as red, hostile. I think he might have been hostile the first time I was in the Den as well. Maybe because some addict attacked me and I did some damage. Is there any way to turn an NPC back to normal?

 

Most all critters are red in combat mode, even wenn they are friendly. Only partymembers are green.
And you can kill every one in the den as long you not hit Karl there's no problem.
You need the first time wenn you speak to him, ask for his story(4).

I cant recall anymore how the get the "Kill Mr Bishop" quest from Mrs Bishop.

What do i need to do again?
Gifted-Sex Appeal, Char 8, speech 105.
Married, Sexpert, Gigolo, Porn Star & Prizefighter.

Broken Hills, Female Shopkeeper sometimes sends me out of her shop with these stats. Is this normal?

Just read what I wrote you 4 posts up, really!
Limbabnees is wrong here, you do NOT have to ask for his story the first time, and even if you piss him off, you still get a second chance.

 

Oh jeez. I didn't see that you were replying to me as well, lol. Yes, it worked to pay him $100. Now I can save Modoc, Jonny etc.

Dont get from Mrs Wright the "Kill Mr Wright? quest... any options?

[spoiler:b8c2514859]The way to assassinate Mr Bishop isn't very obvious. First you have to sleep with Mrs Bishop. In bed, ask her about her husband, ask her if they love each other, then about Mr Bishop's "other pursuits". You'll now get the option to ask if she wants you to kill him. With Traps 76% you can suggest an "accident", and Mrs Bishop then tells you about the trap on Mr Bishop's safe. Use Repair (again you need 76%) on the safe to change the combination.[/spoiler:b8c2514859]
