Two questions.

1. Where does my car go when I save Sulik's sister and return to Primitive Tribe? I can't find it anywhere.

2. This one's pretty stupid one and probably asked many times before, but how can I get to the EPA? I haven't got a clue so if you could just tell me how it can be reached and not any other details about the place, I would really like it. Thanks.
 
I finished Fallout 2, and here is the bugs i've found:

List of bugs:

Broken Hills:
- In the Chad quest, i was caught trying to get his papers, and he attacked me, but Sulik almost killed him, then he run away.
i clicked End combat, and talked with Chad. (apparently, Chad have an serious case of Amnesia)

- I can enter in VC with drugs of EPA:

- I can kill myself, but i can't kill NPCs in electric chair (wtf? its a chair especially made for kill the Chosen One? :P )

- I exploded Mason with an explosive plastic and he literally evaporated (no corpse, no items, nothing):

- I can see through the exit grid in the map with cave (i don't remember the name of the area, but is the only area with one cave to enter and the ocean at left):

NCR:
- I can complete the quest for Merc (Kill the hubologist) even if i don't know who is Merc:

- Nobody is blocking the machine (happen with some slot machines of New Reno, too):

- I killed AHS-9 with super stimpacks, and the quest still incomplete and i can't talk with the Imperor (AHS-9 is DEAD, why i can't complete the quest?):

- Marcus (or other NPC) don't take damage of the cannon, even if are in front of the door:

Navarro:
- I killed the technian and all other peoples, but i can't use the satelite computer, because the corpse of the technian don't permit (he was inconscious when i killed he, this may be the problem, i guess). but later of days (when the corpses disappear) i can use the computer:

Enclave:
- In the final fight of the game, i hitted Horrigan in the groin, and he falls down, and don't attack me anymore, stay there, like a rock, or a statue. Here, download the save, and see yourself:

Redding:
- Nobody is blocking the machine (happen with some slot machines of New Reno, too):
You are the one blocking the slot machine. :P You have to stand on the side of it. Stupid, but that's how it is.
I think a few of those can't be fixed (engine bugs/quirks), but overall a nice work. I give you :ok: :ok: for presentation.

1. It should be in the wooded area to the south shouldn't it? Did you get the patch from the front page of this thread?

2. [spoiler:fe268f5199]A "traveler" random encounter or Myron can give you the location. First get Myron in your Party, then tell him to wait, he'll say he'll do you a favor if you let him stay. So he tells you about the Golgatha stash, go dig it up, tell Myron to wait again and this time he tells you about the EPA.[/spoiler:fe268f5199]

Great work Ziaus.

Cassidy doesn't have animations for the pistol in PA (i never got round to doing them) so he uses the regular PA animations instead. It's just a stop-gap until i get round to doing them.

I've got a quick question about the reccomdended install order.

Going from the UK vanilla patch (V1.0?) what do I need to install in order for this mod to work as intended?

I tried going from vanilla -> official -> kids sprites -> unnoficial -> restoration project. It caused quite a few random problems in the game (such as NPC armor mod not functioning at all). Can somone tell me exactly what steps i need?

I'm pretty sure nothing "happened" per se, that's from the other NPC armor mod (or at least the same thing happened there). It would be nicer if he reverted back to his old self though.

Fallout vanilla -> Restoration Project only, since RP have unofficial + official + kids sprites included. If that doesn't work, write here again.

I have the GOG version of fallout 2. Whenever I try to play with ddraw.dll in the mix I get "Fallout appears to be running in compatability mode" and the game shuts off

Of course, it's hard to run things like the restoration project without ddraw.dll

also without ddraw.dll/ddraw.ini I can't turn on background keyboard/mouse so I get THAT error instead!

Any hope?
 
Hello.

First time playing with the mod. I'm trying to help Vic by getting his radio in the shack. However, the shelf is empty and the door is locked (& resistant to 25% lockpick as well as brute force attacks). Is the door supposed to be locked? Read guides & there is nothing about any lockpicking difficulty in any of them.
 
@mousiehamster,

Vic's radio is behind the locked door in his shack (or should be). I don't know what the minimum lockpick skill is to get in there. :? You should be able to just keep trying (saving and reloading if you jam the lock) until it opens, but maybe 25% is too low and you'll only end up jamming the lock every time.

Edit: There is also the trap. You may need to disarm that (or set it off) before trying to get through the lock.

@bhlaab,

Check the tech info in the Vault-Tec page for details, but I think you need to shut off the compatibility mode. You shouldn't need it because the Sfall files are set to turn it off. Might need to check the ddraw.ini however.

Also one other bug / dialog error, very early in the game if you try and get the Flint from your aunt using diplomacy she incorrectly gives you the wrong response.

When you actually get it given to you by using the whole "Don't you think it would be better if you just gave me ..." line and she accepts she gives you the wrong line, she tells you "Sorry I seem to have misplaced it" or something, the response you usually get if you steal it from her.

Is this thing in the middle is the electric chair (where you can make an execution)? If so, I can make a custom one (if you want of course), since that thing doesn't look like electric chair at all... :o

Yeah that's just the thing, I don't have it in compatability mode. I think the GOG version does that automatically.

So try to set it to compatibility mode, apply the changes, then uncheck the compatibility mode, apply the changes. Try if it works.

If you read the previous page, there's a "gogfallout" guy who had the same problem. He managed to get it working, said something about several restarts of the OS (probably meant the PC). Read it and see if it makes you any wiser.
 
Im trying out this RP in version 1.2 atm and i gotta say its very nicely done! Unfortunatly there are some minor things and a few seemingly broken Quests that werent there be4.

Things went perfectly fine on my route (Klamath, Den, Modoc, VC, Redding, Raiders, BH, NCR so far) until i reached Redding. First of all i saw in the patchnodes that u should be able to cure Fannie of her addiction or OD her. Nice idea tbh but unfortunatly i entered the map the very first time and went to the saloon the girl was not there and the barkeeper was flaming me for making her OD :shock: ?

Next thing was i cleared out the mine and the major couldnt be arsed to admit it actualy was clear! Took me a few hours and detailed study of Pers guide to actualy figure, that killing all that bloody damage soaking beasts made me do some 0 Damage instant kills on em... thus not raising my counter high enuff to solve the mine! Problem was solved by replacing the reddtun.sav file with a version that had still living wanamingos on it and kill those 2 again. Enuff to finish the quest but still patchwork :( Imo the hole issue could prolly be fixed by giving the chars a hidden kinda reduced 1 damage version of the living anatomy perk from the beginning on, but that would prolly ruin the gameballance!?

So far so good. Next problem i found was in the NCR. I talked out Jack of blowing things up and then made myself "stupid and strong" with lots of drugs and talked to Mira. So i went into the prison, pressed 1 and shot that guy. Unfortunatly i wont get any notification, that "I took care of Jack" and Mira will give me the same anoying line about "go hurt Jack" etc again and again :( . So i know this quest was a bit changed with the patch and/or RP but i didnt found any note that it wont work this way anymore.


Woha almost written a book now. Well thx anyway for the great RP and hopefully some infos on (especialy) the last issue :)

It's working for me, so this might be more of a random game glitch than an RP problem.

Didn't know there was anything about this in Per's guide. It's not an RP issue (however using the ammo mod will increase the likelihood of getting 0 damage crit hits).
Anyway they will be counted to the total when their bodies are removed from the map. So you could have saved yourself some trouble by resting up in the town for 24 hours or so and then run down through every map of the mines to get the bodies cleared away.

Its mentioned somewere for enclave troops afaik. Yeah i used that ammo fix since AP was just so useless be4 but now im dead with a single volley of AP Assaultrifle ammo sometimes :shock: Anyways thx for the advice about the body removement!

Well the last thing i mentioned with Jack and Mira: I tried pretty much everything now and no matter how stealthy i get that guy it still wont work after i talked him out of blowing himself up and everytime be4. So i guess thats an actual change with the RP then. Makes some sense since you cant be too stupid to talk him out but need to be to get the next quest, then again why shouldnt i change my mind for the right payment :P. If this was intended to work this way, well ok but it might as well be a bug linked to the fix for finishing the Quest to "deal with Jack" when letting kill himself or do it yourself in the plant...

Custom art is always welcome. I have no graphic skills so any help is greatly appreciated.

Nice bug reports. I would appreciate it if bugs were added to the RP tech wiki page, but it isn't required. It will make things more organized though when I have time again to get bug crunching.

OD lines for Fannie are indeed new to the RP. They worked fine for me though when I was testing things a while back. Perhaps something went wrong when the RP installed?
 
Possible, since im playing on the german version of the game wich is now like 60% or so english :mrgreen: But then again if i use a backupsave from The Den i can walk right into Redding and Fannie is there np. Talking a long way over VC and surroudings, and shes gone! Maybe she died of her addiction in the meanwhile since no1 was giving her money at all :twisted:
