Found a small issue with the patch/restoration - when I get the Cult of personality perk and then become a slaver, Lenny and Cassidy will leave my party (I'm too evil for them to follow) but Sulik and Vic will stay. From what I read Sulik and Vic should leave me too(or attack me) so it's weird that the perk works on them but doesn't work on Lenny and Cassidy.

Minor inconsistancy in New Reno, the "Wright's sons" that stand outside the Wright house, next to the kids who want your pistol, have a sprite that shows them holding a rifle, yet they are unarmed when you look at them ("He has 60/60hps." without mention of a gun). They do have a hunting rifle in their inventory though (for me to steal). There's one of them in the train station too and a couple of Wright's daughters with a fake gun as well.

Also my NPCs happily walk through the door leading to Orville Wright, without opening it, before I ask for any permission to see him or anything.

Well - got another issue:
everytime i play i've got almost zero specials (this time at least got Kaga twice to this time). I've got 5 Luck pts. I see that ppl (earlier posts) got The Bridge and etc. Then - that's my question:

Changing the encounter rate is affecting specials too? And do I have to erase ';XX' before the command? Because I traveled from Den to Modoc and so far no encounters (I ain't counting Kaga).

I've found a ton of special encounters - pretty much all of them - with 9 LK and not even a single point spent on outdoorsman which was really low, I recall.

But I spent a fair share of time fighting in random encounters.

DForge - I always make a scan of new site by highlighting al squares around it, so I also like to travel on the world map. So far - no encounters found. I guess I have to wait and pick some Gain Luck/ranger/scout/explorer perks :)

How about "restoring" the Barter perk?
My idea is explained here

I think it counts as restoration, because otherwise the skill is totally useless.

This happens all the time as i think it is a vanilla bug, also in Den, Sulik can open the unauthorised door without permission, normally if you touch the door you get a warn from slave masters. So doesnt count exclusive, even though it is silly.

I went to the Abby and agreed to escort that kid back to Gecko. Unfortunately my car was left behind, which seems rather silly. This happen to anyone else?

hey, im enjoying RP2.1.2 playthrough, great new locations with great dialogues

anyway ive got a problem with kitsune from EPA. I cannot trade with her, she doesnt remember combat settings and doesnt fight at all, just runs away :/
Ive got Weapons Redone and Miria mod but im not using her because my char has low charisma :]
edit: after reinstalling without miria mod its still the same

ps. Whats up with random encounter and especially special encaunter rate. Ive got low per 6 but ranger, explorer, luck 10 and at the end of the game only 2 special encounters :/

i've got the same situation with Johny at Ghost Farm-went to the farm with car, talked to the slags boss about his release, and he ascorted me to Madoc but the car stayed at Ghost Farm and I had to go back for it.

Well, got first bug - small one. Inside the Vault in Vault City on 2nd floor there are stuck door. Character says that somebody really strong'd be able to open it - but somehow I opened it with bashing with a knife but I still can't go thru them or close/open them :)

I've run into a few bugs with the 2.1.2b install (installer, all options except Cassidy TH and smoking anim). If you talk to father Tulley about the Abbey wine and come back with the bottle, there is no text available to give it to him. But if you talk to him about the abbey for the first time with the bottle, then you can complete the quest.

The science hologram in EPA doesn't seem to be registering my character killing things with the scorcher, so I can't finish the quest to test it. Also, my character has the quest to repair the voice computer (??) in EPA but I never actually _got_ the quest, so I have no idea what this is. There is a 'useable' vent on a level that doesn't nothing / goes nowhere, and the doors that require passcodes seem to be a little buggy. Even when I don't try to guess the passcode, next time I use them my only option is 'exit'. All posted to wiki, and have save games.

Kinda OT but what am I missing about repairing the EPA light generator on the 2nd level of the EPA? With 114 repair, it just get the message that "something is wrong" with it.

Situations where the car does not follow the player is normal. If the car happens to disappear for good then that is a bug. Having the car follow the play can be tricky and has lead to some bugs before. It's doable but I haven't done it for all situations and even the original game didn't do it.

@agris
Awesome report. That's exactly how I like it done - post on the wiki (issue, save game, etc) and then cross reference it here. You made my day. :ok:

Cool, glad it was helpful. Hope it doesn't seem to negative- this version of the RP is awesome. .Pixote's maps have matured so much since the 2.0 beginning, the redesigned EPA really took me back. I love it! The game really feels fresh now, and very stable.

Fans of blowing enemies to shreds rejoice! In the Sierra Army Depot I accidentally found a way to dupe rockets, now you'll never run out

Giving Marcus two empty Rocket launchers and either normal or AP rockets, then pressing "Use best weapon" in the "Combat control" screen equips and reloads a Rocket launcher and also reloads the other launcher in his inventory, using only rocket. The launchers can then be unloaded in the trade screen, giving two rockets for the price of one, then the process can be repeated. Marcus has his special armor from Abbey if that makes a difference. Version 2.1.2b, all optionals except weapon sounds installed, using Win2k. Savegame: http://www.sendspace.com/file/iwmru8

Tried some of that newfangled wikimathingy-editing this time too.

Another thing, the "Security Bots" in this room fight back if you start shooting at them, whereas in the original game they didn't fight back and didn't alert the "Security Robots" that habit the rest of lvl 2, they were pretty much free xp. Is this change intended?

Great work Killap. Thanks so much. Two issues I noticed so far but I'm not sure if they are intended or not:

1. It seems getting negative Karma is really hard. There are so many critters you fight that give you +karma (highwayman, robbers, etc) that even when you're trying to be evil you always seem to be in the positive. Also, getting the Champion status is very easy, and even if I kill an entire town (and actually manage to get karma below zero) I'm still a champion.

2. Once you find Woody (in Den) for Percy (in Gecko) it seems his barter skills get screwed up. I can sell him an item and then buy it back for 1/2 the price.

Thanks

I've tried searching, but this is a topic hard to narrow down to search terms.

I'm playing with the latest version of the Restoration Project, and had one issue so far I am wondering about. I got to New Reno at level 10 and Little Jesus would not give a job because he said I was too weak. I checked back up to level 12, but he wouldn't offer me a job. In the meantime I started doing the jobs for the Wrights, and became a made man. Now at level 15 I can't go back to get the quest from Mordino's to find Myron. What level and/or skill level do you have to be to get Jesus to give you the job? I don't remember ever running in to this when I used to play F2. I used to get the job from Mordino, simply to find Myron, then I would work for another family.

It is intentional. killap said somewhere (I think it was the read me file) that now the robots are as dangerous as they should be. But I think you can [spoiler:0080d8f8a6]still use repair on them to get some almost free xp[/spoiler:0080d8f8a6]

@Beelzebud
[spoiler:0080d8f8a6]You need to wear combat armour to get the job with the mordinos[/spoiler:0080d8f8a6]
