This is great news! I was just going here to download your mod to play Fallout 2 for the first time, having finished Fallout a year ago.

Do you dare put a date on the next version? I wouldn't want to start a new game now if a new version is imminent!

After Killap adds the new artwork, then adds any new changes/fixes to the maps, and finally finishes the scripts/general bugs fixes - the game will have to go out for testing again, to ensure it's all working properly. I can't really say. Most likely a few months. :wink:

i was curious about something: fallout 2 works with Win8? I ask this because it could be nice to add support for it on patch/RP. ;)

Edit - it would be good in case i ever get a new computer to replace this oldie too. :P

I was so psyched, hoping for an answer in days... or better yet, hours. :P

Anyway, I appreciate the work done by you guys and the rest of the community.

I hope it won't be months, but with my schedule these days, who knows.

I'll definitely keep everyone in the loop though. Keep checking the bug wiki for progress. Alas, there hasn't been any for some time though.

I read a list of unfinished stuff from fallout 2 a long time ago, since then the RP has restored most of it (great job btw) but two of the things I read are still missing the easter egg was supposed to hatch a chicken npc I believe its still in party text. The other is the option to pick a fight with Horrigan the first time you see him, any chance these will be in 2.2?

We could always rip the chicken from Arcanum, or Baldur's Gate. :P But I thought the chicken reference was to the DeathClaw at Modoc, I could be wrong...

Fighting Horrigan and his buddies would be suicide at such an early stage in the game.

Hi

I'm not sure if this is a proper place to ask, but I have problem with this patch and New Reno quest. There's no option to ask Keith about Richard Wright room, so I can't finish the "Find out who was responsible for Richard Wright's overdose" quest, because there's no empty jet canister n the room.

IIRC you has to ask his mother/brother about him, only then you will find the canister behind the shelf. It's been a long time though, so i'm not sure

I was wondering if RP has plans to introduce any of 'other' known Vaults (such as the list of few given in Fallout Bible) or no more major changes as such ?

@ThegreatBenDoyle
No chicken NPC and no early fight with Horrigan.

@SHADOW-XIII
No new vaults.

Basically, no new content in any upcoming RP release, unless there is enough info that warrants restoring it. Now, there will be 'new content' in terms of changes to what already exists in the RP. Fleshing areas out more or rewriting them be more in line with the feel of the vanilla game. The Primitive Tribe is one such example. It's pretty much the last location that I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out.

Pardon me, but I was a fool. My intelligence dropped after taking the mentants and that's why I didn't get the option. :lol:

I don`t know if this is reported already, but the perk HtH Damage seems bugged. I always get -2 DMG when I pick this skill.

@Killap
I have some suggestion regarding Algernon. I do not like the idea of unlimited weapon upgrades. Why not make him upgrade equipment for flowers (not broc flowers - just normal flowers - how many - 2, 3?) - that would be in line with some falloutish sense of humor - and could make pot of daisies from crashed whale serve some purpose too.

That's a very good idea. +1 support.

There are some complaints in the thread "Fallout for a Moron" I think might be good to address (are about vanilla game), I might post them in an organized way later.

While the concept of Algernon and flowers seems nice in theory, it's realization doesn't seem so when I think more about it. I'm afraid it would end in hoarding one more (otherwise obsolete) item through the game. And hunting on the world map for travelers around New Reno to loot for them. Also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flowers_for_Algernon , coincidence ?

I am grateful for support, although I see some problems with the idea. The supply of flowers is not limited - some random encounter map (the one with camera and flming crew tents) contained quite a lot of flowers.

Well, this game is not about hoarding (ok, for many players it is). Algernons workshop is a hole in games economy. Better equipment for no players effort. This shoul be limited somhow. Flowers are one way. Other solution is some counter. Say - 5 upgrades.

Nope, that's the core of the joke here.
