Algernon is the only one can upgrade energy weapons & flamer fuels. I like the flower idea, but I don't think a fixed counter is a good idea if there's no other people can do those upgrades.
 
Killap, found an issue with Hakunin dialog when you have negative karma. Posted on bug wiki too

Edit:
Another weird bug, not sure in which section to post on wiki. After random encounter with highwayman I clicked rest until healed button. When it didn't want to stop I just hit Esc to stop it manually. After that just sequence of characters started appearing in the lower left message box repeatedly ("visible 28710,0"). It doesn't stop even after restarting the game and reloading save. Not all the maps are affected though, so far observed it only at Modoc Main map and Ghost Farm overground. 2 more little issues (unfortunately don't have saves):
- When encountered brahmin fighting mantis, there was no brahmin spawned, only mantis and only 4 of them. (it was a map with a cave and trees, without any tents)
- when encountered farmers fending of mantis they had floating text complaining about bandits (i know it's hard to fix, because farmer critter probably cannot check what it encounters beforehand, but changing it to something like "annoying pests" could be more universal)
 
I seemed to have found an issue with the Village quest given by Stark in VC. I must have gone out of order.

I went from stark, then to the village leader who said to check out Old Joe for weapons. I wanted to do things peacefully (thinking Old Joe was going to be the violent route) so I went straight to McClure with the issue. I tried going back to the village leader and nothing. Tried going to Old Joe after going to McClure and he prompted me to see McClure. Now I can't seem complete the quest.

Might be a good idea to make it work if someone goes out of order.

P.S. there is a grammar issue with the village leader the first time you meet him, think it's the first or second sentence, missing a "to" I think.
 
I`m playing in 2.1.2b, with a peacefull do everything type game play. Bugs i spotted so far:

1. In Arroyo hunters Area some flowers appears under the stones and other thinks that makes them unreachable. I can still see them thanks to using shift but dont know any way to gather them.

2. In Den Fred escaped outside the Map through the lower green field while i was fighting with That 3-man gang above the shop.
 
both Kezzerdrix and xsarq didnt post a savegame to help killap and make easier to him to fix the problems...
 
In EPA, my car appears off the southeast side of the map. No matter what I do, I can't get back in my car. I have to edit the f2_res.ini (from the hires patch) to draw tiles outside of the map to even see my car. I can run down there, but my cursor turns into the arrow you get when your cursor is off the usable map and it doesn't let me enter my car. Is there some way to warp my car to another city or some kind of automatic way to enter your car and leave the map without clicking directly on it?
 
This has probably been solved somewhere, but I'm still getting the "compatibility mode" error. I am using Wine (on Linux) so I am unable to do the simple Preferences check/uncheck solution, and I continue to get the error even if I set the Windows version to 95/98. If it matters, it's the GOG version, this is the only installed mod, and the vanilla works just fine.

In addition to the random world map combats, I was just wondering if it would be possible to have surprise combat type encounters while one is at static locales? For example, when one is at a Ranger Safe House, what if Remnants of the Masters army, Slavers, Death Claws, Alien, whatever, stumbles upon that site and attacks? It certainly doesn't change the nature of the game but gives a lot more action within the defined realm. How about having such attacks happen in other cities (like NCR, Reno, SF) too?

Looks pretty complete to me if you can ignore the "optional but cool" stuff.

Nothing is really missing, but some new art has been added, and some map improvements (the Brotherhood bases at the Den and NCR can be accessed at some stage in the game). Basically a lot of small tweaks are required, as well as bug fixes.

Eventually more playable characters will be added to the game, a black male, and a punk female - who knows a new red head female, if it ever gets finished. These things take 1000s of hours to build. The next build will be the most complete ever.

Btw, I know putting Chad in jail was alredy planned for the original game but it's kinda sad how you can't do BH caravans anymore because of Chad's arrest, will the next RP have some kind of replacement for Chad after he gets arrested?


A very random question but since you're the one that seems to know the most about RP in here...
 
I don't know about Chad having a replacement - but it makes perfect sense, the caravan trade wouldn't end because one guy was thrown in jail. Maybe Killap will think of something.

I did mention this in the wiki bug section some time ago. Don't think it got addressed.
the devs did at some point have plans to replace Chad if he died/got arrested, as can be seen in the leftover files hcencha, hcenchb and the bhrndmtn map and script. $500 a run with an option to go back again within the same day.
 
Oh boy that would be great, especially the "Come back in same day" thing.


The caravan system in Fallout 2 is so flawed compared to the original Fallout.
