Fallout 2 Restoration Project Gameplay Thread

Can someone explain me how to enter the cave in primitive tribe? i've done 6 quests, i've talked to people, but the guy never wants to let me in. Ah, the head warrior doesn't even initiate dialog with me, but hes only saying mseeages like "Greetings warrior how goes your quest".

The Abbey can be found on the map. Just go near there and it should appear. Same thing with EPA, I guess.

As to Primitive Village, have you done:

Supply weapons
shaman ghost quest
Shaman xander+broc quest
fisherwoman firewood quest

Positive Karma and reputation inside the Tribe?

*The cave quest is the last one (to find what happened to the hunting party). You can get it from the Head Warrior... but before there are several quests=>

- 5 spears/10 knives
- haunted shaman
- collect firewood (3)
- fix the well
- 5 xander and 3 broc for the shaman

+ Sulik's sister quest (but you don't have to go to the Primitive Tribe to solve it)

P.S=> I solved my problem at EPA

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum
I wanted to try out the Restoration project, cos Fallout 2 is a one damn goog game

Had som peblems at EPA so i went to check out this thread. Still have some problems there. I cant get into the botanic garden in the green sub level. I got two different door passwords from the holograms, but i cant choose any of them for that door.
I also cant open the door to research computer in the blue level, or its indigo level? I dont know exactly, what kind of color is indigo, but i know that it has something to do with blue.

and, one thing yet. Maybe i did not notice something, but i cant repair the light generator. When trying to repair for the first time with enough skill, it said that it misses something i could find outside in the junk, but no success.

EDIT: lighting problem solved. doors still not opened

the doctor didng give me anything. I dont remember all my stats before, but he tested something on me and my seqence got to 20, most probably i had 16 before, and my healing rate got to 3, i should have had 2 before
Im a bit daezd about this, because i used five marujiana, after a few days my stats dropped and then got back to boosted ones. Not sue if its a bug or what

could you help me a little?

I've done all these quests, and the head warrior doesn't want to give me that quest, i asked him is there anything else to do in the tribe, he said to fix the well and so i did, and now he does not initiate conversation with me, only yellow messages appear above his head when i try to talk to him like "hello warrior how is your quest" and things like that...

*Are you sure you haven't forgotten something... a little detail...anything....? If not, I'm sorry to have to tell you that's maybe a bug.

I guess bug then, i reloaded and did the quests again.
Finished all 6 quests, asked head warrior if there is anything to do and he said to fix the well, which was already fixed.
Maybe some variable isn't changed when you fix the well now?

Concerning the well... did you put the rope and the bucket? 'cause you could have forgotten to put the bucket...and when the well is fixed, have you spoke to Marli, the guy next to the well... he's supposed to give you some money...

=>And when you take a look in you PipBoy as regards quests in Primitive tribe, are each quest crossed out? If not, it would mean that something remains undone.

all quests crossed out, bucket attached to the well, and morl gave me i think 130 gold coins.

The missing warrior quest depends on elapsed time. Wait a few days and speak with the head warrior again.

Sounds like we need a walkthrough for this expansion.

EPA again: i collected the gecko pelts, turned the lights on, repaired the science hologram but the 4 hologram still wont talk to me: they keep saying the come back later we have a conference or whatever line. What should i do? (i reloaded the game now i would be able to repair the voice computer)

Do you remember the message in the window that came up when you initially walked in the room? Look in rooms nearby for the answer/explanation to the message.

The problem is, most people wont know if the can get a quest/finish a quest because they have too low speech, or too low repair, or too low science, and they don't know what to do then. And there are a few timed quests as well which can confuse people.

Oh when I say walkthrough, I mean a Per type walkthough. To me, that is the only type of walkthrough that exists. 8-)

hey, who gives you the location of the Abbey on your worldmap?
Someone who was already in the game and is a priest. 8-)
You can also find it by wandering.

Killap, while we are talking about Abbey position, one thing occur to me about Modoc.

It seem we have no way to know where Modoc is even though we met a Modoc runaway farmer (karl) in The Den. Should the conversation with Karl put Modoc on map? Because as I recall, we all have stumbled upon Modoc on the way to Vault City.

Interestingly we have got SF position from the owner of bar/brothel in Redding.

Where and how do you find the raiders that attack Vault City?
I'm trying to get a day pass that way, but can't find them. Is this something that has been changed, or am I missing something/being very stupid?

From Per's guide:
*Offer to find the raider base. Do this (see Raiders) and return, Wallace will give you a Day Pass." and "Both Wallace and Stark in NCR will ask you to find the base of the raiders who plague Vault City. It's not as hard to find as they make it out to be - it's the conspicuous green circle south-southwest of Vault City."
NCR should be Vault City, Per.

cheers
