Fallout 3 guide creation #3: Training Chapter Overview

The ghoul is wearing a pip boy which explains the hand, for some strange reason no matter what armour someone with a pip boy wears they always wear a fingerless glove with it.

Now that you mention it, that could be the player. I guess there might be a possibility to become a ghoul?

Okay...the middle one really looks like as if he has just robbed an "Oblivion Warehouse of Bethesda".

The left one looks like a Fallout fan STALKER zombie. Sorry, the hood makes me see him that way.

And is that really a shotgun??? It is more like a replica of a WWII Russian machine gun. RPD or what was its name...
Shitgun. Oops...typo? No.

The PPSH, I think they took the idea of converting AK-47s to fire shotgun shells (supposedly they worked quite well) and decided to add it to PPSHs for some reason.

There should be a law that the gaming company that makes a game without a 12 gauge pump action shotgun should be lined up and shot.

The devs have said you can't be a ghoul but you never know. That or it is a ghoul mask, possibly a halloween inspired thingy.

Roy Philips got pissed off. I assume you can help him and his ghoul buddies take Tenpenny Towers. Looks like there another way of getting that suite.

Nah, rusty power armor, tho' I don't know what's up with the "chemist PA" on the left there, very WH40K.
It's Tesla Power Armor, that one.

I'm not buying the game, but I might buy the guide if I can find it and if it features lotsa Vault Boy art.

I still don't see how anyone can say how awesome this game looks. Most of the environments look pretty good, but this one looks washed up, pixelated with barely more geometry than Morrowind. Don't even get me started on the characters.

After years of reading and not posting I'll break the silence again to point out that you all are looking for to much in one thing.

Just because the picture has a ghoul with a pipboy why does it have to be the player? Was Vault 101 the only one with pip boy 3000's? How about like from Fallout maybe there was a vault that got broken open and many residents became ghouls, and thus he has a pip boy, how about another dozen ideas I can come up with easily before assuming it is the player.

But I do agree it seems the art dept overlooked the model for the pipboy on the wrist not having a mutie hand.

OMG!! Is this pic from...Quake III Arena??

Then comes the crazy part; there’s advice on whether this Perk is going to help you in gameplay situations, and how

What's so crazy about that?

Sometimes it looks like those jurnalists forget to notice that there is a "3" number after "Fallout".

Jurnalist: Haha, very good Bethesda Softworks! Nobody have thought about putting a number in the title. Very creative, honestly. Just wondering, what does that "3" number means, hmm? Maybe there is some kind of a deep plot for it in the story line?? That'd be so awesome!

Random Guy: Dude...there is "3" because it's a sequel...

Jurnalist: Wha....what??

Why is it that when 'we' are coming up with an explaination "we're reading too much in it" but when someone else comes up with one to explain why Fallout 3 is/might be good then it's fine.

Bethsoft shouldn't be making these mistakes in the first place and requiring either side to guess at their reasoning.

The assumption that the Player is the one with the pip boy 3000 is a fairly easy one to make.... I haven't seen anyone else with one. Does that mean you're wrong & I'm right? Nope, but it does mean both of us are guessing based on our knowledge.

What are your thoughts on the Pip boy 3000 possibly being general equipment that any NPC or mob can have? Personally I feel it's a mistake as it means that upgrades for the Pip boy will be more common and as result lessen the feeling the world is falling apart.

The devs have stated a few times now that they initially considered making it possible for the PC to mutate into a ghoul or supermutant, but eventually decided against it.

That has to be a PC screenshot, looks so much better than everything I've seen for 360 so far.

[spoiler:188e30b47e]The guy in the middle is human in the ghoul mask. You get it from Roy Phillips if you help him and his ghouls get into Tenpenny Tower(either by force, or by making all of the elitists leave). The mask stops ferals and glowing ones from attacking you.[/spoiler:188e30b47e]

BTW, notice the clipping on the right hand

Wowiewowwow.

That's like...even dumber than you would figure.

At least it explains the hand.

It still doesn't explain why their hands are...blank. They have a gloves or something? And also, [spoiler:9228166922]cool mask that makes eyes white :)[/spoiler:9228166922]

Another thing is...the guy on the left, under his armour there is...nothing, just a blackness?

The both PA look rather crappy. They have too big gabs between their parts. The left one looks like the guy is able to fly with those high...wings.

Edit:

Looks like they have some nice The Sims-like chairs over there! :x

lol...I didn't mind those clean looking chairs on the inside since someone might be taking the time to take care of them, or had fancy ones built, but on the outside, that just looks silly. I really notice the lack of shadows too. That makes it all look a lot worse. Bleck...

The ghoul guys don't bother me too much personally. (though I instantly see medieval style comparisons) As for the shotgun, it looks like a modern one they call an AA12, (had to look that up) but made to be more like an old Tommy Gun or something like someone else already said. Of course I think the AA12 looks kind of goofy too, (anything with a clip like that) but it's effective.

Fallout 3s distressed IKEA Furniture DLC - now for only 4.99$

p.s. you get to build it yourself

tools you will need:
3d studio max
screwdriver
diaper

I'm not buying the game, but I might buy the guide if I can find it and if it features lotsa Vault Boy art.

That's an idea, but then why bother when they're too stupid to understand the humor in the vault boy's happy serene expression no matter what he's doing, now half the time he's "evil" so it doesn't confuse people.

your thinking of the Saiga which is a fairly decent weapon.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saiga-12

However the only times I have seen a full auto mode used it was either blanks (less recoil) or military spec loads with fixed burst of three shots

as for making a PPSH patern shotgun the problem is the kind of casing you would use, and I dont thing reloading your cases is a good idea. however their are units like the MAG-7

http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/sh20-e.htm

and the M-1100 that use mechanical blowback
