Fallout 3: official teaser trailer announced

It builds up tension toward the end, which is probably what ticks you off.

Nah, what ticks me off is that it's too similar to Oblivion and Farcry. It's too obtrusive and heroic as well.

and while very presumptuous to say: the art on the page looks very FP friendly.

You know better than that, SuAside. Trying to gather information about viewpoints from concept art is just HELLA stupid.

hence presumptuous? :?

That soundtrack is hella Conan the Barbarian. I like it. I wouldn't like it if it played all the time during Fallout 3, but I like it.

I don't like it. In fact the more I listen to it, the more I hate it. It sets a completely wrong tone, and isn't fitting at all.
Same here. It's ok for... something else. The music isn't bad. But it's definitely not Fallout.

Not that I'm surprised.

Nice track, but orchestral music really has no place in Fallout. I hope it's just for the website (which would be kind of weird if you consider game websites in general).

Also, I really wish they wouldn't have battle music in Fallout 3, although they almost certainly will. I think a lot of people didn't realize how crucial to the atmosphere it was to not have the music get all intense during battles.

I agree with Puuk on the Lord Of The Rings feel. Except for me, it goes beyond the concept art and into the soundtrack as well. The song sounds very... epic, but I can't imagine it in a fallout sense. Perhaps I will change my mind if I heard it in action.

I dig the artwork and the soundtrack starts off nicely but then turns too epic for me......one mentioned about the possibility of using it on credits, well yea, the song is not bad, just depends on where and how it is used.

The music has some nice elements (as long as the actual ingame soundtrack is very different). But as it is now, I also agree that it feels to heroic and adventurous.

I like the track in itself, but I don't think it's very Fallouty. It's to big and bombastic and action-y.

the tech demo and ... this ... such times we live in !!

By some freaky coincidence, Matt posted this update within minutes of me putting up the tech demo. Hella weird.

The track isn't so bad i even like it... but well, for me it don't fits too much to Fallout. Artwork looks like it was from some prehistoric movie. Will see what comes out from that.

Things are looking up. I heard rumours that Starcraft 2 is going to be announced by Blizzard sometime this or next month in South Korea.

Life isn't fair enough for these things to happen, but what if.. What if...

What if...

I don't think I need to finish the sentence as you already know what it is.

forgive my ...cynicism (is it?) .. but..i cant wait to lol at the Beth forum as we draw closer and the "well i suppose it cant be that bad" line will start appearing here and there ... :)

We’ve updated the Fallout site with a countdown to the release of the Fallout 3 teaser trailer. On the site you’ll find concept art we created in conjunction with noted concept artist Craig Mullins, as well as a streaming version of the Fallout 3 title track. We hope you like it.

We’ll be updating the site weekly with new art as we approach the release of the teaser.
Apparently, it is the title track for Fallout 3.

What a wonderfull day! Now, if I just could go home and enjoy it with sound

I kind of like the concept art, but judging it by just one picture is probably not a good idea. This one is nice though

That landscape's awesome... like most of Mullins' landscapes.

And yeah, the soundtrack's way too epic. The fallout3.org spoof video with Tiber Septim's voice over the Fallout 1 intro comes to mind.

Awesome music though yes it dosen't remind me of anything from old fallouts, is it good? New to the old, looks cool and perfect.

The artwork makes me wonder....and looks good.

Bethesda cought me again, anyway i was going to buy it even if the game was pure trash like FO:BOS.
