Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage Unveiled

It's kind of funny, but GTA IV seems to seriously drop out of GotY consideration simply because it got too much hype, and now the backlash of it means it's not a serious contestant. Does help Fallout 3, I guess.

Can't wait to play GTA IV still, but have to wait for a new graphics card to arrive. No worries, it just means they'll have patched it more.

I already was extremly disgusted by the fact that LIVE came as a mandatory for the PC user. There is not reason on the PC to make this software a mandatory for the people that have no use for this software, yet you have no option to not install it.

At least you can leave it off. GTA IV is much worse.
No doubt. Never played GTA IV though.

But to say that. Its just the sign of a evolution I as a long time PC users with some education in informatics cant asses as good. The "one size fitts all" approach for software that one can see nowadays happen in a lot of programms and games.

What happend with the days where YOU as consumer had the opportunity to decide what you want to install and what not? The availability of "light" installations for example. In some cases this is alright but in extrem cases it can take away a lot of the responsibility out of the hands from the user.

According to Gry Online, Cenega (the Polish publisher) has confirmed that the DLC will be available in Poland, even though Games for Windows Live is not available here. Maybe an alternate distribution method for non-GfWL countries?

Would be funny if there would be some Sarah Palin seeing Russia joke inserted in the DLC. Even if it's her frozen in the style of Jack from The Shining looking through a pair of binoculars to see Russia. ...or would that be too much of a chuckle to think Bethesda would see the opportunity for it?

Hmm... I just hope the failures of Fallout 3 were a learning experience, similar to how Oblivion was. It just pisses me off they don't learn their lessons between games. I loved Shivering Isles, and thought they'd get the hint in the QA area. They seemed to get it to an extent, but I guess it's a steep hill to climb.

Also: I guess them doing this confirms TES V being in Skyrim.

Honestly, Bethesda has been producing exactly the same type of game since 1994. With over 14 years of sticking to the same type of design, how much more learning experiences do they need?

Thank Frith for local publishers I guess.

That's what I always said too. But then, they are lauded for their innovation with each game they release so Jesus, when do you think they have the time to learn with all that innovation?

If anything, you'll probably see some unlicensed releases of the DLCs =) For example, when NWN premium modules came out, I bought them in a bundle on a CD from cheaper than the original price

But I suppose Beth could authorise distribution through DVD for countries that don't have GFWL.
