Didn't know about not posting youtube videos of the leak. Lots of threads didnt read them all, please add something on main page reminding people so they don't get banned.

It doesn't really sound like a conversation, more like... well a play, I think that is pretty accurate.

Shakespeare with guns? lol...sorry, couldn't resist.

@Brother None: Oblivion is a weird thing. It kind of reminded me of the tons of people into Worlds of Warcraft; like a strange addiction. I remember running into quite a few people, especially in electronics stores, who couldn't talk about anything other than Oblivion. (they really liked to when I asked about graphics cards) I didn't even know what it was at the time but that everyone was enthralled with it. I thought maybe it was like Baldur's Gate. Boy was I wrong. Yeah, so people overhyping this one might follow the same line, but, we can all hope that those rose tinted glasses come off.

So they downloaded onto their pc and are now playing it on their playing it on their Xbox 360? Or are they playing to xbox version on their pc?

So ive watched couple of forementioned videos, mainly consisting of stuff allready seen in bethesdas published vids with additional dialogue and so on.

Must say it looks like the same game as before (must be because of the 70 % same content as before) but it seem that facial, and physical animations really arent too great, it feels like voice acting doesnt quite fit.

Also combat seems quite unplayable with third person as i suspected. It looks and feels like a shooter in first person.
Surroundings dont look bad. actually quite good.

Well, more conclusions with additional viewing...

Starting out as a baby has got to be one of the dumbest ideas i've ever seen implemented in a game. I really can't believe this is Fallout 3 footage I'm watching...

A baby? A fucking baby?

Someone on YouTube just shouted, "Now PC Leak!" I don't know if there's any merit to that but ...great. :(

EDIT: Oh, well, they shouted 47 minutes ago, but whatever. I hope it doesn't end up leaking for every damn system.

I don't think so. And I hope not. As Bodybag mentioned, at least X360 leaks are containable because of the way Xs work.

Probably just rumour-mongering, tho'

I thought there was reasonable novelty value in it for a first playthrough. The character creation/vault section was one of the better of Bethesda's ideas, because it provided them with the ideal opportunity to explore some of the issues of vault life - a nice way to explore the duality of a safe, but ultimately utterly restricted, existence. Of course, opportunities can be badly missed...

First game ever to do that, I think it was a good idea, you will play 100 percent of this guys life.

Does anyone else think your dad looks like Steven Ballwin?

Edit: ok not first game to do that, but I don't see anything bad about this.

actually the idea of starting as a child is a good one, I think the whole childhood part is going to be fun (for the first time.)

what saddens me is the way the AI is said to be...

From everything I've seen I'll be playing 0% of this guys life.

...

Scuse me, but wasn't that already in SW:Republic Commando? :o
(and probably in other games as well)

Er, AVP, but then you were an Alien...

OK, just wanted to mention something. Someone earlier said that they just saw the overseer (old guy) run into a locker. I actually think (shocked the hell out of me) that he was trying to pull a weapon from the locker cause the player was attacking him. (dude was unarmed) May be wrong, but the player hit him just as he got there and the door swung open a little.

EDIT: Oh frak it. Now the old guy is just staring at him like a dumass. lol...

HAHA, oh nevermind, now he's defending himself. The game pauses when you pull up your Pip-Boy. :P

Hmmm, perhaps it is to introduce the main characters, the plot, the background behind the Vault, and detail the life of living in a vault.
Yeah, because people want to be forced to go through it every fucking time on subsequent playthroughs instead of being able to get right to the action. Good design LOLOLOLOL.

It's coming.

And back to the irony comment - I do think it's an overstatement, and for the reasons I mentioned. Nothing is piracy proof, and once you send a game out for replication the scene clock is ticking. That clock speeds up a little when you also send out pre-gold review copies to Europe. If you had the luxury of choosing which platform you send the review copies for, I bet you'd also send the 360 version ahead of the PC version.

You're trying to highlight irony in what's actually a fairly practical and logical decision. Is there really that big of an axe to grind between PC and console gamers? Being platform agnostic, I just can't wrap my head around these things.

And people said console game is not easy to get pirated.

Ha! In their face now!

Console games this day are as easy to get pirated as PC due to share of common medium - compact disc and similar electronic parts. Game publisher's decision to focus on console will get themselves bury by a pile of E.T game catriage soon.

Took a quick gander at the video and all I saw is Oblivion with Fallout skin cover on it.
