Fallout 3 Trailer

Wouldn't a FP game for the second half of 2008 have better looking bus seats than that?

Har har, not in Poland, nor Russia, nor anywhere East of Germany, for that matter.

Also, dude.

The world got nuked. You expect clean bus seats?

I liked it, it seems that all hope is not lost. That power armor looked absolutely great, better than the Enclave armor or the one in Tactics.

NO! No! No! That's wrong. I understand it's postnuclear and sience world is dead. But it's 70 years passed after the war and almoust 150 before it from nowday. The Power Armour seems like shitmade, but technoligies went too far away from our level, and looking on BoS and Enclave we can clearly see that they're usin' rather good technics. And if this armour is not producin' now? it was on some kind mass production before the war.
I want to say it could be better painted. IMHO...

But the city n' music are rather nice :D

The only bad thing about this trailer is where it said "Fall 2008". That's a long time, especially for a computer (meaning that I might have to upgrade...).

The rest was pretty good, the music, the pictures in the buss, the demolished city. The armor wasn't too bad either, you can't expect them to use the same ones as in the other two games (although it would be nice if they appeared).

I hope they start the countdown for something new, like a gameplay trailer.

Is it jsut me or that power armor is kinda funny looking ? like made out of trash cans ...

Teaser didn't really reveal much more than the fake concept art did.

I liked the look inside the bus, they clearly were dropping in classic items from FO everywhere, from Vault Boy to the Teddy (Tanker sequence reference?). The level of detail was very high leading me to suspect (no surprises really) that it will almost definately be first person - I hope I am wrong, just wish the teaser had verified that one way or the other.

The power armour just looked wrong somehow. I can't really put my finger on what it was, but it just hit me as being a bit 'weird'... looks kinda like a hybrid between enclave and normal power armour (or something). Pleased to see he wasn't carrying a contemporary weapon though, can't make out what it is - but looks original.

Ron Perlman = Great

What the fuck is Fall 2008? Can't they put a month instead?

How the fuck are they supposed to know when they'll be finished?

Well, that was a surprise! Such shitty graphics! That means one of two things at least: either they aren't focusing on graphics and/or they are not making it full FPP!!! I'm a bit confused here...

Also, crappy bethesda! No site?!!?! I want details on the game!!!

Cute, but Fallout's timeline hasn't got anything to do with "nowaday".

I think that he meant better modelled bus seats. And a bus that doesn't look like a paper model.

BTW.
I saw sculptures! Sculptures  !!

What's the problem with the bus? It looks good. That graphics look good. Why do you expect fully finished shit from a teaser over a year before release?

No way. It's low-poly. Lower then models in Oblivion, game really old in this (game)world.

In my eyes, it will be isometric.

While the music was not that bad at all, but the Power Armor sucks for me. In motion it sure looks better, but... It's a huge dissapointment for me, after seeing all that beautiful stuff and hearing the Ink Spots and Ron Perlman. I'm pretty sure that it'll be explained somehow - the differences are in commonly well known and remembered places like shoulder pads and the visor, there aint no possibility that they didnt knew how it looked like.

But it may be the van buren one, though.

Yeah, it might be the T-45d version instead of the better known T-51b:

mkay, spotted 2 more things.

- the coke bottles, shouldn't they be darker blue for nuka cola? red label doesnt fit.

- the PA dude looks too patched up to be a 'good times' BoS dude. this is very clear when you take a closer look to his gun. the stock looks very steampunk. we can all remember that the BoS refused to field a PA because of a damn spotweld line on the eyepiece. no way they'd field this equipment if all was just fine. (ofc, their habits couldve changed due to many factors, like time evolution, distance, necessity,...)

The relatively low poly count on the bus, if any indication, is that the engine was built/modified to sustain a large number of polygons at any given time. Whereas in First Person Shooters, you can occlude polygons by hiding them behind/inside buildings, a 3rd person angle this is harder, as you'll automatically see more than the person you are playing can, if you know what mean..

This was so much better than I had expected..

IMHO, there's hope yet!

It doesn't even really look like a gun, I don't even know what the hell it is.

At first, I thought it was a laser rifle simply because of the shape, but that is wrong. Then, after consideration of the small pipe that goes from the butt to the barrel, perhaps a flamethrower, but there are no hoses going to a napalm storage tank, so that's out.

To be honest, it's just some fake-piece-o-crap Beth threw in as a placeholder apparently, as I can never see that gun actually firing.
