Fallout 3 Trailer

To all the people talking about the graphics, Fall 2008 release means that the graphics are far from polished right now, they will get a lot better and this will not be isometric, no way.

To people talking about the BOS logo being an Army logo, look at the "land a hand to uncle sam" poster, there is a logo at the bottom right corner of it, that probably is the Army logo. Just my guess.

I thought the trailer was good, not amazing but not bad. Waiting for E3 now.

Cute, but Fallout's timeline hasn't got anything to do with "nowaday".
It's 2200 year in Fallout 2, i don't exactly remember. Yeah, we have different timelines. But i ment that in 200 yaers sience will be more developed comparin' to our days. We don't need the same timelines :) we need a look on progress.

It just has to look good, dude. It's not "Firearms Simulator 2008".

emotherfucker

Spellcheck, if you don't.

Also, you don't make any sense.

So you're for retconning the first two games out of existence, basically?

*sigh*
What part of *50s* sci-fi do you not understand? The 'future' in Fallout is *not* an extrapolation from our time, but an extrapolation from what the '50s pulp sci-fi thought the future would look like.
Did you even look at the original Fallout Power Armour?

Anybody notice the Super Toolkit? Next to the bottle of rotgut, on the seat..

The toolkit is just a toolkit. The Super Toolkit was a Snap-On, and nothing on the toolkit indicates that. Also, the booze says "Royale" I think, definitely not rotgut.

But the red toy truck does say "Nuka Cola". And why is there a damn skateboard on the bus? Any why is there still Nuka Cola in the half-empty Nuka Cola bottles? Radiation King was a reference to a brand of TV in the fifties from a Simpsons episode, because it was so powerful that it bleached the wall behind where Homer sat. The joke's kind of lost when you just make a brand of all electronics, like radios, just because it's got the word "Radiation" in it. And a stuffed animal lasts 70+ years exposed in a nuclear wasteland?

This video does not hold up well to repeated viewings. The power armor guy's Oblivion pose doesn't help.

I need more coffee.

edit: I see ironic use of "c uz" is not appreciated

Polished? Yes.
Changed? No.

It's too far in production to make thinks like this. Look on Oblivion. It's have a "better" models.

Really liked the teaser. And I actually like the armour too (call me a heretic if you wish, I don't give a fuck)...

It doesn't even really look like a gun, I don't even know what the hell it is.

At first, I thought it was a laser rifle simply because of the shape, but that is wrong. Then, after consideration of the small pipe that goes from the butt to the barrel, perhaps a flamethrower, but there are no hoses going to a napalm storage tank, so that's out.

To be honest, it's just some fake-piece-o-crap Beth threw in as a placeholder apparently, as I can never see that gun actually firing.

It looks Steampunk to me, or maybe a grenade launcher of some sort.

For me the armour is not looking like an armour used by pofessional soldiers, but like something badly handmade. I'm not telling about our looks on future, but about more developed and difficult armour production in future. Or we're just talking about different things.

There is also a Corvega advertisement on the building to the right. (don't know if anyone mentioned it, yet).

Yeah, well... the fact they got some things right (now, it wasn't THAT hard to get that fifties atmosphere is part of Fallout, though) doesn't mean much.

And I won't say I'll live with what they did bad (like the Power Armor and the other stuff pnutz mentioned). That's just like giving up and accepting stuff they throw at you.

Yeah, Radiation King is lame... like is that changing from Fallout 3 to Fall 2008. That's just lame.

I absolutely loved this trailer. If Ron Perlman has signed on my faith is renewed.

Praise the holy flame.

The relief of it all. Okay I do admit the power armor looked a little funky but we are forgetting that we are now seeing things in more detail.
Anyways, this has givin me a little more confidence in Fallout 3, far beit we still don't know anything. This is the sign for change though. This is the pandora's box. It's been opened and info and screens and such will flow freely.

What are you guys relieved at? That they lifted the original Fallout's intro sequence almost verbatim? In fact I'd be surprised if Bethesda didn't use Ron Pearlman or the Ink Spots, or any other Easter eggs that have become associated with the Fallout brand; they're the easy things to incorporate. The real challenge is incorporating the game play, which I've yet to see any evidence for them doing. To me this teaser says absolutely nothing other than they've watched Fallout's opening movie.

Guys at least we can start hoping that it wont be FPS since if you look closely on posters, the bear, the little truck and tiny equipements like that its not that well designed to be an FPS.

Take a look at Oblivion

It's an interior shot. Does it look detailed or at least good? No, it doesn't. In fact what was in the trailer looks better than that. So your argument doesn't hold up. At all.

it should tell you you just watched the teaser actually...

but if you want to be a sour grape about getting a teaser after 10 years of nothing, sans a buggy demo of a game that'll never be, that's all dandy.

i'm sure more info will arise after either e3, or by the christmas season.

It's a good teaser trailer. If everything else in regards to this game goes down the drain, at least we'll have this trailer.

I also have this feeling I won't be playing this game in 2008...
