Fallout 3: Van Buren (Spoilers!)

Hexer, maybe you want some nice drawings (for facebook, loading screens or creating some hype)? Or textures? I want to help with this project but only thing I can do on acceptable level is drawing stuff (and I'm asking too late, I guess).

We don't have a logo so you can draw one! And if you know how to apply textures in Photoshop that will help as well.

To bad you couldn't open up a Kickstarter for this and make it more official, like the guys doing the Nuka-Break movie(s).

Also is it just you on the team and you alone (or there are others on the team but you put in the majority of the design and production work), or is there a full and active team behind this. Because I know projects like this can start out with a full, active team and then casually lose members over time until it's just a few dedicated people left with the occasional fan offering minor (one-time) help.

Can't you have a paypal account for donations like the Fallout Lore Serie, by ShoddyCast ?
Or provide another, very limited service that would be paid, while everyone would be in fact paying for van buren.
Volontary payments, not needed to have the game, that would be free anyway, unless you get a deal with Beth.

Thanks for suggestions about donations, I think we will run a small campaign once we finish the trailer. We will need to pay for some cinematics and voice actors.

I started alone but the team grows constantly. I think we have 48 members right now but while about 50% work on it weekly the rest work on it monthly. It's going good :)

It is working.
I was afraid you were shut down for copyright issues.
(which would be weird considering you talked to Bethesda long ago)

LOL, we're not going anywhere.
We just welcomed many new members last week. I think there's 57 of us now :D

I'm taking a 2 week leave from job today to focus on maps!

How many maps are you going to do? I hope new encounters maps, cities will be fine but let me know if you will make possible to buy player base like in fonline 2238. Build via collecting resources or buy via caps. :P

As many maps as I can :)
Yes, player base exists in VB but I won't tell anything about it yet as it is the last area we will do :P

Nice image...Question: will you be using the Fallout colour palette with all art? If so the images colour will change accordingly.

The FOnline engine doen't require the Fallout color palette to be used.

@.Pixote. I haven't yet decided if we're going to desaturate all of our loading screens. When you apply FO palette to Arizona splash screen the desert scene doesn't look hot any more, the contrast between the crystal blue sky and scorching yellow-orange sand is gone. When I look at it now; the first thing I want to do is find the nearest BOS base with it's air conditioning and enjoy an ice cold Nuka Cola.

But on the other hand, the rest of the art follows the grittiness of original Fallout art style. With one exception though, we have access to more colors.

I'd like to see this pic in the Fallout color palette. WRT the pic from almost a week ago (very nice pic, I set it as my Desktop 8-)), I've been thinking about it and I do prefer the Fallout color palette version. Seems much more Fallouty.

Look at these feral Glowing Ones ganging up upon our hero! Good thing they're statless so they can't hit him ;)

Looking really good man. You probably mentioned this before, but will this only require Tactics (and other FO games) or will we need to install something else?

Thanks bro! :D
It won't actually require an installed game but only a CD check so we know you own the games. Just to keep Bethesda cool with it

Files on CD and installed GoG version share various similarities that can be checked for.
