Fallout 3: Van Buren (Spoilers!)

I redid the snake mosaic and now it actually looks like a mosaic! I'm moving on now to finish other parts of Ouroboros.

Shouldn't that thread become sticky too ?

As Fixt restore Fo1 cut content, Restoration project do the same for Fo2. Hexer & Co restore the whole Fo3.

(maybe we could even dream that Bethesda consider this van buren canon, call it Fo3, and remove all units of their own game, even refunding customers)

It looks better, but I would tone down the brightness, so it looks like its sitting in the sand - Eg: opacity 65%. ATM it's too outstanding.

Thanks for the suggestion Pixote, I will try out different opacity values when I get home and see if I still get the message across! Here are some old / new screenshots I posted in a different thread earlier.

Building the map is a critical feature of the game. Now I liked F1 map the best because it was just an illustration, and got the vibe just right, while F2 went down the realistic route (+ horrible brown colour), and it suffered for it. That's why I wanted to adjust it for the RP, so it looked more like F1.

For Mutants Rising I built a map that was based on a realistic information, but added a lot of colour and layers so it wouldn't look like the F2 map. It's tricky work...:salute:
 
I just started and the plan is for it to be similar to Fallout 1. I think I will have to approach it the same way you did

I think I will take some time off after MR is finished, I've been ding this since about 2006, so I'm a bit tired. :look:

I understand. Didn't know you were on the team for so long! In 2 more years it will be 10 years! :salute:
But I was thinking more along the lines of both teams merging. How many of you are on the MR team right now?
 
Quick update (before a real one ;) ): Working on Ouroboros, the location which will be used for our first gameplay video. We have Alpha version which is 6 GBs at the moment. The soundtrack is over 7 hours long. We also included 3D models so we can have armors such as NCR / Desert Ranger Armor in their full glory. See you in the next update!

Ouroboros is similar to Junktown but then again it's being built from a different type of junk so it's taking a while to get it ready (I'm the artist/mapper/programmer all in one)

Did you implement the actual armor or was it just a model test?
 
Ten days laters, the likes are almost 1000.
If you were allowed to start a kickstarter, there is no doubt the money would have overwhelmed your project.
