Fallout 4 - Far Harbor Official Trailer

"Radioactive fog" -- so, basically entire zones like a radioactive vault, where you're frantically exploring as quickly as possible before your radiation level gets too high and/or you run out of meds, and then most likely do it again from a save from before that area because you missed something obvious in your rush.

The significant new feature is the part of the game I hate most? Great.
lol... now try it in the new survival mode where taking radaway causes all sorts of problems. Yeah, I can see that being 'fun'.

Should've just called this DLC:

"Kellogg: Revenge of the Cornflakes"
I mean it's as subtle as a clown with his cock out, could of seen that from a mile away.
You'll have to defeat the evil Kellogg hellbent on getting revenge because you beat him at a game of popamole and I would not be surprised if you had to somehow magically get into Nick's mind and take out Kellogg like that shit with sephiroth from FFVII.

I seriously doubt Kellogg will actually be featured in the slightest. Bethesda probably thinks that the one line he spoke through Nick right after going through his memories was closure enough.

I'm sure you're right, Bethesda would never rehash old characters in a DLC.

It's more of an issue of Bethesda not actually giving two shits about Kellogg to begin with rather than rehashing old characters. I doubt anyone at the company even remembers who Kellogg is.

They sure went out of their way to try and make you feel remorse for killing him, you know after you murdered your way from one end of the map to the other.

God, you're right; it was such a pathetic hook and ineptly written that I hadn't even registered I was supposed to feel sad for him.

Kellogg's Crunchy Nuts, perhaps?

That's why I remembered it, the game forced me to kill everyone and then for some reason tried to make me feel bad for the 1 guy I was justified in murdering, it was jarringly bad and extremely out of place compared to the rest of the game.

You seem to be forgetting the various Raider funerals around the Wasteland, not to mention my favourite line in the game "Don't you die on me!"

At 0:30, was that a chaurus? Are they re-using assets from skyrim?

edit: alright, it's not so bad, they just ripped off the mama shrimp from metro last light.

With that logic, they're both just ripping off the Antlion queen from half life 2. It's just a common design, it's everywhere. So if you're gonna bitch, bitch about something worth bitching about.

Excuse me, but I'll bitch about what I damn well please! My bitching it the product of untold generations of bitchiness and will continue to bitch, weather you like it or not! And that's bitchin!

On a more serious note, I pointed out a similarity in design. A similarity in design that is obvious enough, that I saw it repeated multiple times in the Reddit discussions. What's so bad about that?

My apologies if I came off as an asshole. Just a little on edge after reading through this thread. I hate BGS as much as the next guy, but some people here seem to love to complain just for the sake of complaining.

But unlike Fallout 4 there was so much more to the story in Fallout 1 and 2.

In Fallout 1 the quest starts with you looking for the water chip only to find a threat that threatens the remnants of humanity, The Master and his super mutant army. The game then becomes about stopping them.

In Fallout 2 it was similar, Find the GECK to save your people then stop the Enclave that threatens a recovering humanity but the secondary plots involving the politics of the NCR, Vault City and New Reno and their quest for power and the consequences with who you sided with sets itself apart from its predecessor.

I take it you never bothered to play or research deeply into the first 2 Fallouts, haven't you? :whatever:
Hmm I see you're in the habit of making of uneducated assumptions. Well I guess I'll take the time to tell you I've played all of the Fallout games (minus BoS) and enjoyed them all (somewhat less Tactics). My point was that when all you do is take something and boil it down to it's simplest parts, then it will ALWAYS sound boring. So let me rephrase:
Fallout: We need the water chip or we will die! oh shit there's a bigger threat out there, go kill it! (or in one case join it)
Fallout 2: We need the G.E.C.K. or we will die! oh shit there's a bigger threat out there, kill it!

I would take "We need the water chip or we will die!" over "Save your son with a nonexistent forced emotional bond because writing is what we can't do" any day. I enjoy not having to say something nice about the people at the vault because of a hard coded four choices. Oh wait it has consequences which Fallout 4 couldn't even hope to have.

well let's try it..

Fallout 3: Find your crazy father and stuff for "reasons". Big robot splosions battle.

Fallout 4: Find your crazy child and stuff for "reasons". Big robot splosions battle with airship.

I think I would still rather play FO 1 & 2. At least their over-simplified plots sound.. non-idiotic.
An over simplified plot is better than a convoluted plot, less is more and to the point without unnecessary distractions or plot holes and shitty mcguffins. Look at Mass Effect 3 as an example.
