Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

Working hard on something doesn't equal that thing being good. Otherwise everyone could be world class painter and stuff.

Jesus, he doesn't even see it. the reason it was so hard to make it work Petey m'boy is because you took something relatively balanced and removed a cog from it!

MAJOR SPOILER FOR ENDGAME!

No Pete, what your people did was removing the last vestiges of genuine character building and role playing fallout still had and replaced it with mechanics similar to those like Borderlands.
Even one of Fallout's most iconic voice actors is no longer the narrator (though I understand he has a 'guest appearance' in order to replace him with the setup that will probably be done with other 'Fallout' games in the future (I am not sure if it can be called Fallout any more, it has some elements and references to that series but this is an entirely different beast even if it wears the same clothing)

Gentlemen (and ladies), Fallout is now officially dead, long live Fallout.

At last we have Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout New Vegas (which I hope modders will continue to add too) and for those who are open for a slightly different experience; Fallout Tactics.

Hopefully in time we will have more RPGs made for people who prefer their experience to be little less 'immediate appeasement' and more 'long term enjoyment'.
At least Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, and perhaps Torment seem to have the right idea. I really hope Obsidian will consider creating a science fiction RPG of their own, I would love to see a Solar System based future RPG inspired by how people in the 50s thought that would be like. (so instead of Vault Dwellers, Space men (and women). Instead of the BOS, the Space Patrol. Instead of mutants, alien monstrosities, with a little tongue in cheek and dark humor ;))

Fixed.

That would be so boss... from the steaming jungles of Venus to the insectoid colonies of the moon to the ednless Wild West Mars

"The real story you will play and tell: Yours" Your story.. about the guy we made you be, and the life we told you he lived, and the activities we have decided he will do in a specific order while not killing anyone that could possibly break down this order (because he can't we made them invincible)

Also @The Dutch Ghost

Don't forget CD Projekt is creating the Cyberpunk 2077 RPG based on the Cyberpunk 2020 ruleset, which they have hinted at being even more open-ended (with multiple start/end possibilities, since they are adding the classes from the PnP) couple that with their ability to tell engaging storylines and it could be a masterpiece. I'm hoping for far more innovation in 'origin' stories than ME and DA:O.

FO4 will be a fading memory once that drops in a few years. Heck FO4 is already my least wanted game as I continue to play through Witcher 3 and Pillars of Eternity.

As far as FO goes, it died with FO3 for me. NV is 'ok' (story-wise - as in pretty solid) but I could never get over the weirdness of the Gamebryo engine.
