Fallout 4 - Mods Now Available for Xbox One

Still better RPG than Fallout 3 and 4 combined.

Seriously, if you watch MrBtongue's video on Shandification of Fallout, you'll know that, no matter how 'uninteresting' the world of New Vegas, and the lack of 'dungeons' (in a Fallout game? Did you just agreed with Bethesda making Fallout 3 literally 'Oblivion with guns' and Fallout 4 'Skyrim with guns'?), at least New Vegas stayed true to what made Fallout Fallout.

"Enemies that are boring strategy-wise"
Implying that Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 had better enemies strategy-wise, when most of them are bullet-sponges because of lack of DT, especially since New Vegas inherited Fallout 3's format, while Fallout 4's were handled by iD Software.

Once again, not talking about Fallout 3 or Fallout 4. We're actually revising a game.

Dungeons is short for an area that forces the player to react with violence, sorry for the confusion.

Well, at least I don't care about "Staying true", mainly because I never said it wasn't.

Trolls often offer "different opinions."

Either way, New Vegas is better as a Fallout game and as an RPG than Fallout 3 or 4, and anything negative someone could say about New Vegas would count doubly so for Fallout 3 and infinitely more so for Fallout 4.

I liked Fallout 3, but New Vegas is truer to the original vision of this franchise and is simply a better RPG.

Fallout 4 is simply an awful abomination that is equivalent to making the Final Fantasy VII remake a first person shooter, or turning XCOM into a side-scrolling platformer, or turning Civilization into a first person shooter, or turning Borderlands into a top-down, turn-based isometric RPG.

Ay, true. But did you know they also breathe air?

Don't care about "Real" Fallout games right now. Now we're seeing what could've been done better in New Vegas.

I disagree.

Fallout 4 is not that far off from Fallout New Vegas. It's got lots of things in common. Lore (sort-of), factions, quirky companions, and (ironically) a lot of words that have been trademarked, like "Nuka."

Fallout 4 is like a nail thats been hammered about 1/4 of the way down. Painting's on there, it's just skewed.

Oh, and Borderlands is garbage.

Revising the game how? With mods? Well, New Vegas's shitty fps mechanics mostly inherited from Fallout 3's engine, but even then Obsidian managed to improved upon it so good with a more stable version of ironsights compared to the mod for Fallout 3, damage thresholds, weapon mods, and some other tweaks here and there. Don't call its' 'gameplay' shitty, because 'gameplay' were quite a loose term for an RPG. Skills checks are also a part of a gameplay of an RPG, and New Vegas handled it far better than Fallout 3 and obviously than Fallout 4.

Fallout 4's 'better fps mechanics' were because it was handled by id Software, known for many good fps games, so there's really no way of giving Bethesda Game Studio 'a credit where it's due'. Seriously.

If you don't care whether a Fallout game "Staying true" or not, then don't get mad when people here call out on you saying how Fallout 3/4 are better than New Vegas, in whatever capacity, whether with mods or not.

There are certainly moments when we go, "Ah, this could've been done better", and then we recognize there are mods to do that, but there were certainly not THAT much mods needed to make New Vegas better than it was, especially since we can attribute the lack of this and that in New Vegas to the fact that they only got 18 months to finish the game.

Compare that to Fallout 4 that supposedly take 7 years (though it would make much more sense if it actually took like 3-4 years top after finished with Skyrim), the amount of people saying, "This is wrong." and "This could've been done better.", then you know there's problems. Of course, since you don't care if Fallout 4 stayed true to what made Fallout Fallout, you might as well swallowed what Bethesda made even if it wasn't called 'Fallout 4'. So, again, don't get mad when people called you out on saying how Fallout 3/4 > New Vegas. Not saying you can't enjoy Fallout 3/4, but you better have better explanation when you say 3/4 > NV, aside from 'boring world', because boring and fun are subjective.

Because Fallout needs to be exactly those, even if they don't make sense in conjunction to the past established lore. Sure baby.

Of course, like you said, you don't care what made Fallout Fallout.

Oh, and Borderlands is garbage.
And look at Fallout 4! Trying to appeal to Borderlands's fanbase, what's up with all of those Legendary shits and stuff? Of course, you could easily said that you disliked the Legendary aspect in Fallout 4, but for you saying Borderlands is garbage, could've been taken as also Fallout 4 is garbage.

I liked borderlands....
Probably because Borderlands was never a deep, rich, role-playing game to begin with. They didn't take a beloved role-playing franchise and turn it into the mindless shooter that is Borderlands. It was it's own franchise. Borderlands by itself is fine, but it did start this trend of calling mindless casual shooters "RPGs" simply because they have boring upgrade systems and loot.

And the worst part is that Borderlands has better voice acting and characters than Fallout 4.

Turning Fallout into Borderlands/Far Cry is an abomination.

Why do we keep comparing fallout 4 to borderlands, farcry, Minecraft, the sims, and call of duty? It's unfair to those games because they are all superior titles. Fact is fallout 4 is in a league all its own.

No, we're reconsidering the fact that maybe our beloved game, isn't as great as some may set out to display.

I don't care if they inherited the game engine from Fallout 3. Fallout 3 was also poor in this regard too.

Skill checks counts as dialogue. Never said the dialogue was bad.

Yeah, I didn't praise Bethesda for delivering Fallout 4, I said that "New Vegas has terrible gameplay."

Yeah, I think that'll go on my tombstone.

I got mad?

Yeah, hey that's right now, and New Vegas had some pretty serious problems.

especially since we can attribute the lack of this and that in New Vegas to the fact that they only got 18 months to finish the game.

Don't care about excuses. Instead, prove me wrong by citing some gameplay quality that was well-made. Maybe some unique place that I missed?

I do, trust me. New Vegas already has that. I want to see it further improved on, rather than being pampered like George Lucas's niece or something.

Yeah, I posted something on how legendary aspect was garbage as well. It was actually one of my first posts here. Actually, hold up.

That's me, telling my opinion on Fallout 4's legendary system at reddit. Look at all the updoots and pinkies! Fake internet points, amiright?
