Fallout 4 review roundup #2

Circle jerking it up in here. Hope you guys brought a mop or two. :3

You guys wouldn't be able to come up with original thought if it smacked you up the broadside of your head with a 2x4.

"Hey brah, I hate this game even though I haven't played it brah."

"Yeah, only past games were good brah, let me put on my special tinted-rose glasses while I play the originals."

"Everything new sucks definitely brah"

Man, how did you guess?
You must be some kind of genius... :(

OKAY EVERYONE, THE JIG IS UP, WE'RE BUSTED!

LET'S ALL JUST ADMIT OUR ADORATION FOR FALLOUT 4 AND EVERYTHING IN IT

Can't hide the juice and blame it on hate jerking. Let's just fess up.

I love how the Tier 4 Vendors in Fallout 4 are all bugged as hell. Send one back to the settlement and they never show up, or they get stuck inactive against some object for the rest of the game. Or they might not spawn at all, or spawn and die before you meet them. So much replay value!

What I had yesterday was that I managed to exit my Power Armor mid-fall, which led to it remaining suspended in the air.

That was the highlight of my 10 minutes attempt to get back into FO4, after which I decided that indeed, going back to NV was a good choice, I'm at REPCONN and I'm happy (although it's not the best quest in the game by far).

Someone had a problem where they were sending people to another settlement to deliver resources but they wouldn't come back, they send a third person but decided to trail them to see what was going on. Turns out they were walking through the ocean trying to reach the settlement but were drowning as a result.

NPC's can drown in Fallout 4?

Jack Cabot disappeared on my game, got the notification to go see him after the quest was done but the quest marker wasn't pointing to his house.... After following the quest marker to one of the military outposts I found it there floating in mid air, Jack Cabot nowhere to be see, not even underground with TCL, so I had to open up the console and ENABLE him as not even the "Move to player" was having any effect, he just had stopepd existing randomly, not even fell through the terrain he just WASN'T anymore. Then he gave me the line about the alien city in the Mojave...

I have a feeling I came very close to having a problem like that.

I was on my way to Goodneighbour when I got the prompt to go see him, so I went right away, and went him inside the house, but right at the front door. Dialogue happened, weapon was given, and after that he just exited the house.

I wondered where he was going, so I followed him, but we got separated when a small groups of Smurfs (it's what I call the Super MUtants with RiFles) attacked.

I now regret not having reloaded the save to try harder.

Yeah, I've been encountering so many bugs I have 3 pages of them written down.

Razorfist's review is up.

A bit disappointing in some ways, since he didn't mention the lobotomization of roleplaying to much of an extent, but the ending three minutes? Awesome.

So Razorfist brings up some valid points, but he is also one of the morons responsible for the decline.

No, he strikes me more as someone who doesn't look far into games or their histories unless it's truly a love interest to him. (Stealth gaming --Thief, Splinter Cell, Styx, etc. -- is one genre he loves, hence his comments on the terrible sneaking gameplay/skill loss.)

That said, I was never hip to him ignoring the fact that Obsidian, sans Tim Cain and others, is the old team behind Fallout and the disassociation between game styles shows very clearly because of it.

Yeah, I get that from his choice in posters.

I just find it so ironic that people are going back to Fallout 3 and New Vegas now considering everything that has transpired over the years. These NuFallout fans now know what it feels like.

MWHWHAAHA!

*cough* *wheeze*

Harold is that you?

Anyways I can't stand when the NuFallout fans compare it to Fallout 3 like it's a good Fallout game or the first one in the series. Like they could understand the dumbing down. Makes me cringe when they do that as well.

I think it is a sign of things to come. Imagine people looking back fondly on Fallout 4...

Yeah uh, is that...is that possible? Heh please don't make me lose more hope in humanity if that becomes a thing.

Nobody remembers half of the recent Call of Duty games. Fallout 4 was designed for that target audience so it will receive the same fate.
