Yeah and all the people, nuuuuuuu! This game will be amaizing! Dosn't matter that the past 3 games have been bad with the dialog, a buggy mess and missing promised features! This one simply HAS TO BE DIFFERENT! Well even if you know nothing about Fallout 4, it really is not hard to imagine what the game would be if you only look at what Bethesda released in the last 10-15 years. They are not like Obsidian. They are a one-trick-pony. And it really shows.

There's an applicable German proverb: Du gehst doch zum lachen in den Keller. Lit. you go down to the cellar to have a laugh. Don't be such a sourpuss, dude. And don't assume things, ass, u, me, you know how it goes.
Go watch some "Cluelss Gamer" episodes and maybe try to have some fun every once in a while. It's just Conan playing games in hilarious ways and "rating" them afterwards. As an example, he gave Hitman: Absolution a rating of turquoise, on a scale of bright green = good, red = bad, yellow = excellent and grass-green = poor.

Since there are other open world games out there that are well made and better then what Bethesda has churned out in the past 10 years they no longer have a shield protect themselves with. They can no longer claim to be one of the few developers to make open world games. Others developers are making much better and even amazing open world games that Bethesda's can't hold a candle to.

What agenda? The review is shit, it has an obvious click bait title. I'm sorry for you that you consider it a review. Anyone with basic understanding of English would see from reading the review that it's a poorly written piece of shot, that offers no meaningful insight to the game. But hey, I guess this review aligns with your agenda and that's why you give it creedence. Doesn't matter about the blatant flaws in the article, it's negative, therefore it's to be accepted totally. Yeah, I'm the one with the agenda lmao.

You hear that guys? Any review that is even constructive criticism or isn't glowing with praise is just click bait and shouldn't be taken seriously! This hive mind mentality that many fanboys have shown(not just Beth Fanboys)is out right frightening. Why don't you try taking your diatribe over to the RPG Codex. I'm pretty sure that the venomous and immature trolls who make up 90% of their user base will just love you. Not say say that I don't agree with Codex users from time to time but there is a lot of crap you have to go through in order to find a nugget of gold.

What? I'm sorry, but this is actually to do with nothing about the game. It's to do with the quality of the so called review. It's not my fault it's poorly written, gives no insight into the game. It wouldn't matter what game was being reviewed. I'd still laugh at it and would laugh even harder at people who take it seriously.

You sit there saying I'm hoping it gets glowing reviews? I couldn't care less, as I'll personally review it myself. I get it, you hate Bethesda, go you.

It's not my fault that your reading comprehension and your ability to disseminate information from source material is lacking.

The fact people actually take it seriously and consider it legit says more about those than me.

Need to try harder with being a bitch though, just come across like you're bitter about being jilted.

[Intelligence] DermoiD seems to HATE NEWSPAPERS.

I'm curious, did you register at all fan sites for games IBTimes reviewed to complain about the quality of the review?

Really because he was pretty tame. He his review was more constructive criticism. He listed the things he liked(exploration atmosphere, VATS), and didn't like(the writing, the plot). His review is something that I more or less am expecting from the smaller gaming outlets that aren't in Beth's pocket like IGN. I don't really see why you are throwing a hissy fit about this review as it is pretty unoffensive. Also I never said that I hate Bethesda. I enjoy their games for dumb, mindless fun but I don't like them butchering RPG mechanics in games that are suppose to be RPG's or pissing on an already established lore just to get and appeal to the CoD and Mass Effect audience. Also nice use of calling me a bitch when I never called you any names. You really come across as someone who can have reasonable discussion or debate with.

it's not a credible newspaper. How can it be creditable or reputable when it breaks a review embargo days before the game releases? I imagine that their credibility will gain them plenty of review copies in future. If the point of the article was not to generate traffic, then what was it? It didn't give the reader an insight to anything that the game truly presents. Games sites, YouTube channels etc etc have went into huge details about new features, things they will like, not like. This article does nothing for anyone who hasn't decided if they wish to buy the game or not. Not one mention of new modding, changes in combat, changes in visuals, perks etc.

I do like newspapers, credible ones with journalists who can actually write properly and present facts for the basis of their criticisms. The one thing that ibt has proven, they lack integrity. Lol breaking the embargo , how credible and respectful of them.

Well those embargo's are kinda bullshit anyway. Beth should have known better especially with a game as over hyped as Fallout 4. Other companies should really learn a lesson from this.

Yeah they are, I guess they are a way to try and keep spoilers and story under raps.

I'm not trying to defend Bethesda by attacking the credibility of ibt. I'm just critical of the journalistic style of the publication.

The reason I said it was click bait, was because they knew they were under embargo, they knew this game is being hyped to the high heavens, therefore it makes logical sense, no? There's tonnes of people searching for fallout news everyday, they knew this review would garner lots of clicks, because it's controversial. It's hard to give something credibility that was very sensationalist and deliberately set out to break an agreement with a publisher. Which completely destroys their integrity and that developers in future may not give them review copies.

If the publication gave the reader more details as to why the game is lacking as a basis for their criticism, I would respect it as a review and as journalism. As far as I can glean from the review, the night sky is pretty and it's long and you have to do farming quests. Story details aside, that's all the dude presented in the article

I bought alien isolation, got shit reviews, I loved it.

Bought shadow of mordor, got 9s across the board. I hated it and felt ripped off and lied to.

Didn't even bother reading witcher reviews and I loved it.

If I feel fallout 4 is shit, I will say so and I will be mighty pissed off at being hoodwinked, again. I'm willing to give it a chance to see for myself.

Most likely a way to try and minimize potential damage on sales.
