Fallout 76: E3 Trailer

The fact that there are super mutants in it must be one of the biggest crimes?
I think the biggest crime is SHOOTING NUKES AT YOUR FRIENDS

I think the saddest part of all of this is the fact that it's all likely canon...

at this point in time it's probably up to us to decide what's canon. Fallout Nevada and Fallout 1.5 should probably be considered canon whilst the Bethesda games shouldn't
Does Fallout Nevada interfere with New Vegas lore at all? I'm unsure since I haven't played it yet.

I mean, for those who want their own little head-canon Fallout we got a lot of games to be honest.
Fallout 1
Fallout 1.5
Fallout 2
Fallout Tactics
Fallout Of Nevada
Fallout New Vegas

That's 6 games.

There's also All Roads and Fallout Bible.

But I don't think you can get everyone that is disenfranchised by Bethesda's nu-Fallouts to agree on what should be canon and what shouldn't.
So,

[edit]

We might even get more games in the future. Fallout Olympus and that other thing by the devs of Fallout Of Nevada. Then there's also Fallout Van Buren (which I think might be dead unfortunately) who IIRC said they wanted the lore to match up with FNV in order to avoid any lore contradictions.

I don't actually care that much anymore. Fallout is dead. I'm over it. No point in raging about something that will never change.
Yet you cared enough to "poke at Bethesda with a very sharp stick."

"Canon" is just a piece of paper that says "Beth owns this IP now"
To me Resurrection is Canon, Nevada is Canon; Underrail is Fallout 77 or something.
This is the exact same argument with Disney.
New "Canon" IPs may shit on the previous ones for sure but they don't UNDO the experiences you had.

"Not caring" about something is not talking about it.

There's a difference between:
"I don't care." *moves on with life
and
"Oh this franchise!?" *watches trailer and replays 3x to absorb every detail "I don't give a FUCK about this franchise and company motherFUKKers!!!! >:(((("

Wait what's All Roads?

Yeah?

Like I said, I do it because it's fun. Not because I'm angry. I guess a better way to put it is that I don't care about it on any kind of emotional level anymore. I do care about it as a form of entertainment to make jokes on Bethesda's expense?

Wait what's All Roads?
The comic for FNV that came with the special edition.

I agree.

I still had hope when New Vegas came out. At that time I still thought that maybe Obsidian would get to develop another Fallout since New Vegas turned out so well. But I was gravely mistaken, after seeing that Bethesda learnt nothing with Fallout 4 I just stopped caring

Oh ok, speaking of Fallout: Nevada I haven't kept up with it in like half a year, did the translation get finished?

Then there's also Fallout Van Buren (which I think might be dead unfortunately) who IIRC said they wanted the lore to match up with FNV in order to avoid any lore contradictions.
Well that's stupid. They should just split the timeline after Fallout 2 so that it divides into either New Vegas or Van Buren. It doesn't matter that they contradict each other

Even if Avellone, Urquhart and Sawyer themselves made the game I wouldn't play it, because it's online BS. At least it's just a spin-off.

Holding my breath for Fallout 5, hopefully single-player ONLY.

I'd honestly prefer it if they didn't try to align with FNV's lore at all and just do proper FVB.

But here's the thing. The thing I said about everyone not being able to agree on what should be canonical?
YYyyyyyeaaah.... About that... If FVB comes to fruition chances are I'll consider it canon over FNV simply because I'd prefer its gameplay over the shitty Gamebryo mess that FNV is.

[edit]

Like, I really can't stand the gameplay of those Gamebryo games anymore. Maybe it's because I've played too many of them for too long but the gameplay just makes me irritated the moment I start playing Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas or Skyrim.

So if I get a choice I'd prefer the game that is an isometric game over the first person shooter.
