Fallout 76 Really Sucks. People Act Shocked.

I can see the reasoning though, since F76 is an online game after all. A lot of mods, as funny as they are, for the previous games could be considered game breaking in their nature. And we don't have to just talk about modds that change stats, like better weapons or armor, with online games visual changes can be a huge problem as well. Imagine something that is doing nothing else but lowering your visibility to other players, for the lack of a better example to explain what I mean.

I am honestly more baffled about the fact that F76 is actually so easily moddable. It's actually a no-go for online games, for obvious reasons. Anyone who has ever spend a reasonable amount of time playing online games, could tell them as much. It's more a sign of how Bethesda has either no clue or doesn't give a fuck as long it gets them money. Which really is something that plaques a lot of big gaming studies these days ... it's almost as if they lost somewhat the feeling for their player bases and what's actually good and required.

*Ding-ding-ding* aaaand what does our winner receive?

In all honesty tho, everyone is complaining about 76; least it’s not another re-release of Skyrim lmao. For Beth that’s, like, amazing.

I watched a review of the game on YT earlier, and it was like the guy had a revelation. The game managed to crash his entire PS4. If I can find it, I'll post it.

Reminds me, I made the Vault Tec Salesman when I played the 76 beta:

*PS4 crashes* Hello, Vault Tec calling!
Alright, class, sit in your assigned seats and let's begin today's lesson! Today we will be focusing on why Bethesda is the greatest video game publisher in the world, and why you should not try to improve or fix what is already one of the greatest games ever. Show of hands if you have ever even looked at a mod for 76. Alright, Sally, Jimmy and Bobby, your homework assignment tonight is writing a 500 or more words essay on why you've been very bad students. Due before the end of class tomorrow or dentition!

Pfft, fuck out of here, Beth. I can understand Crni's point about the mods/cheating, but treating people like children?

Some people say that they got banned because they used graphic enhancing mods. Reshade is the one that might be making people get bans.

I doubt Reshade can give any unfair advantage on Fallout 76. Specially since PvP in it is horrible and discouraged.
The lockpick bar mod is another that it seems like people got banned for using.

Some people say they got banned by having CheatEngine running on a different application at the same time as they are playing Fallout 76. Apparently Fallout 76 looks into your running processes and if it finds any process that is blacklisted, it will trigger the ban, no matter if that process is affecting Fallout 76 or not.

Now, I don't know if these things are real or not, I don't recall seeing anyone post any real evidence that they were not using CheatEngine with Fallout 76, or that they got banned because of Reshade or Lockpick toolbar. But it does seem like Bethesda needs to implement actual anti-cheat measures and not ban people for using graphical mods, or running CheatEngine in a different application at the same time as they play Fallout 76.

Apparently Bethesda also back-down on the whole "essay" thing:
We flag the use of 3rd party applications within Fallout 76 because we do not want players exploiting the game in ways that provide a competitive advantage or negatively impact the servers & gameplay experience of other players. If someone receives a ban for Modded content, for now they should reach out to us through help.bethesda.net and we will review the appeal. We don’t need an essay for this.

Bethesda reminds me of when I need to sweep my house on a lazy day. I'll grab the broom and half-ass sweeping the floor, then be like, "Meh, okay, good enough for me."

I'd never thought I'll say this again.
But I look forward to seeing this game land on Angry Joe's top 10 worst list.

It's already in quite a few "Worst Games of 2018" lists. Some even rank it the number 1 :
These were just from a quick google search. I'm amazed that there are many lists of Worst games of 2018 that were published as early as April 2018 . That's stupid, they should be published in the middle of December at the earliest.

It's more of the fact that Joe made a pretty entertaining video on F76.

It was probably his best video in years tbh.

But yeah, 76 is probably my worst game of the year too.

Yeah, it's definitely expected to ban people for trying to use mods online in a game that doesn't actively encourage such a thing.

It does make me think though. There's those promised private servers but will you even be able to mod those? Look at the mess we've seen so far. Watch it turn out that if you can mod private servers you'll get banned after leaving them for some reason.

Fallout 4 is not a good basis for an online game even in a technical sense it seems.

I just assume the "unfair advantage" of graphic mods may be because they give a player better visibility or something when doing PvP. Not that better visibility would make the PvP any good mind you.

Just came across this when looking to see if 76 is using battleye. I've had battleye trigger from just having cheatengine installed.

I cringe AF at the first scene with that blonde bimbo shooting 10mm SMG :violent:

Holy shit same, it felt like another Lolthesda "whoring out Fallout" case, same as shoving the Pip boy on fucking everywhere that is not longer appealing to see at this point, bastardizing the Super Mutants, the BOS, etc.

I saw a video on Youtube.com the other day where an individual with self professed experience in the game development industry basically defended Fallout 76.

As someone who does have experience (myself) as well a fan of modifying games I found his video to be just unfiltered biased detritus.

I even posted a comment about it basically debunking his odd position with Fallout 76.

No matter how anyone looks at Fallout 76, it is not worth the price it's being sold at, nor is purchasing it a wise idea since it will only promote future titles of notably poor quality.

So true, knowing how to mod, how the thing works just makes it all more painful to see, ignorance is bliss.

I've hit the wall in this game. since I've never had a explosive weapon drop the only way I can deal with the groups of lvl 68+ enemies to beat them to death slowly with a giant hammer. where as some jabrone with a frag pistol can melt an entire golf course of zombies in seconds. sure I can solo skyrim dragons 3 on one but that all depends them landing which they don't do and since my strongest firearms do literal scratch damage to them it takes 10 minutes to kill them. Not that say that any of this is difficult. I'm a damn Juggernaut because it is stupid easy to become one, but hoo boy does it take forever to clear a town of super mutants when they are leveled in the 60s and you best weapon only does over 200 damage.
