Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel 2 revealed

Freyermuth also worked on the first FOBOS, but only as a level designer.

Some of the stuff (e.g. the player characters) is as bad as in FOBOS, but some other things, like the actual storyline, are better and more consistent with the setting (and borrows stuff from Van Buren and Tactics 2).

Oh gods. I read that and was thinking, "ah a sequal to that strategy game. Eh, could be worse." It actually took me a minute for the memory of Fallout BOS to hit me. Here are my thoughts.

1. OH GOD THANK YOU FOR BLIGHTING THIS GAME AND ENSURING IT NEVER SAW THE LIGHT OF DAY!!!!

2. Dammit, a Fallout game finally based in Texas, and it has to be a BoS game. That's just not fair. (is a Texan)

3. Wait...there's a fatman portable nuclear bomb launcher in this game? ...What the Fu...Did Bethesda see this?? No, oh come on, they couldn't have...Oh please tell me this is where they stole the idea from.

4. From the look of it, this would have been a better game than the first BoS. However it still looks like it would have sucked. We don't want "Fallout turned up to 11". No, we just want a friggin Fallout game. Making the setting so "extreme" is part of what made the first game a stinking pile of garbage.

You guys'd better download it, rapidshit and torrent it ASAP before they come here and tell us to put it down or something.

If they didn't demand the Van Buren docs to be taken down, why would they go after the FOBOS2 one?

I'm thinking Bethesda used all this info for resource material and suggestions and then simply decided to allow it to be released/leaked, whatever, after they were done with it.

But the only reason I'm thinking that is because someone mentioned the fatman being in it. :o

I was just going to say this myself. Page 18 for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Bethesda stole the FatMan from an unfinished fallout abortion.

They won't.

I'm still waiting for that "soon" from wooz about Van Buren...

What? There is no "soon" on Van Buren. You must have misunderstood him.

Also, does Bethesda even have one original bone in their body?
"Fat Boy" Portable Nuclear Launcher

Presenting the "Fat Boy" for all your daily needs. This handy little baby packs all the power of a nuclear bomb, with little of the clean up! Batteries required.
1. Homemade Plasma Mine
2. Mail Order Uranium Kit
3. Pip Boy Neutron Generator
4. Conductive Sphere
5. Radiation Dampener Device

Actually, the Fat Boy was a portable nuclear bomb, not launcher. The launcher idea is totally Beth's.

What exactly is a portable nuclear bomb? I mean, how would you use that as a weapon?

And how do you know that? the final word is completely blurred out.

Well, the blur looks more like a bomb than a launcher to me. And the description also makes it sound like a mine of sorts. And Jaffe, the character who has it, is an explosives expert, not a big guns one.

wow this is the new shit... So everyone claiming bethasda to be idiots because adding shit like Fat Man and flaming sword to fallout can now shut the fuck up since those were ideas of interplay's...

and what the fuck... why did bethasda and interplay totally copy the names of the two nuclear bombs dropped by usa to hiroshima and nagasaki..
