So... uh, Sduibek? Fallout Update Mod 1.2.5 merging anytime? I certainly can't wait to be able to finally do some Blades quests and maybe be able to visit the Vipers, but also to be allowed doing the Children spy quest properly by training the Followers in the ways of war. That is, talking to Neil after Heather is dead.
All this is planned, but not until the engine conversion is complete. Right now the engine conversion is the #1 and only priority.

Hmm, I've had a few other reports of this. What system are you running on? e.g. "Windows 8 SP1 64bit" Also are you on an Administrator user account? Which installer file did you use? Lastly please provide the log file, it's under {Fallout Fixt}/DATA/FIXT. Thank you :)

That's just researching the root cause though; I'll add a check on the next version that fixes invalid Days Left values on game start.

EDIT: Updated, @Helegad please put this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/rzkejrtmtjsslb3/OBJ_DUDE.int?dl=1 into your {Fallout Fixt}/DATA/SCRIPTS folder, say Yes to Overwrite. Let me know if that fixes it.

Hey Sduibek I just want to say thanks for this mod that you're still working on, I enjoyed the fixes and additions. I did an LP using the mod https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLI3ygzaz1ngDvgcJBDSXuiAM9eSUpWKAh

There were some bugs I did encounter along the way but nothing game breaking.

I love seeing LPs of my mod, I'll link to it on my YouTube account :) I'd like to do an LP of it myself but I think I'm going to wait until the engine conversion has come along a bit more.

I'm honestly amazed at the amount of work that has gone into improving Fallout 1 and 2. Just finished my first playthrough of Fallout 2 using the Restoration Mod and it was amazing! I'll definitely be trying this out as soon as I as buy Fallout 1, I'll only be using the 'fixes only' version at first though because I want to keep the game as close to the original as possible. :)
 
Could you add Fallout Fixt to the Fallout Patches section at "www.nma-fallout.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=3"? As someone revisiting Fallout, the patches section was my first stop when looking for updates. It wasn't until I installed a few i stumbled on this fthread for Fallout Fixt.

I just want to apologize to everyone for my failure meeting my target release date of May 1st. I allowed myself to spiral into compulsive videogaming and compulsively modding other games instead of doing schoolwork or working on Fixt.

I do not have an ETA at the moment. :oops:
 
The first release date of engine conversion, warts and all, will be May 1st. I think it will have a lot of issues but whatever. This will give people a chance to start testing it.

Not very well :( I allowed myself to spiral into compulsive videogaming and compulsively modding other games instead of doing schoolwork or working on Fixt, so I'm quite behind. This term is over in a couple weeks and there's a two-week break until next term, so worst case scenario I should still be able to release it by June 28th.
 
Don't worry too much, Sduibek. I myself have that little problem and nearly *barely* did well with my Second-hand essay.

I think it'd be neat for the companions to be a little more useful in fighting tougher foes: Ian and Katja have dump skills in Big Guns and Energy Weapons (including Throwing for Katja) in the vanilla protos, but lack the required sprites to use anything in those categories. Good thing you could probably think of the option to make use of those with the Hero Appearance-modified sprites!... Except then there's a reason to avoid giving Tycho an SMG when he has the same problem as the rest of the gunners. Katja on another hand is only a useful grenadier if directly controlled with the Sfall option for obvious reasons, and her proto id has statistics giving her somewhat identical armor values to combat armor if we're not mistaken.

Do we have a Wine Troubleshooting Thread somewhere here? I think that sounds like a good idea. If you could and are willing, please provide the log file located in {Fallout FIxt}\DATA\FIXT. beyond that I'm afraid I'm not much help; I have pretty much zero experience with Wine.

The only problem I have is the "Could not find the master datafile. Please make sure the FALLOUT CD is in
the drive and that you are running FALLOUT from the directory you installed it to." Error. I have it installed to the GOG folder rather than just plain Program Files.
