Fallout New Vegas RPG

I made a slight adjustment to my characters affiliations on pg 29 and in the characters thread. I hope to, in the near future, add a story to New Vegas: Blood Ties that explains the secret debt my character believes he owes to the Enclave.

I can proudly say i've stuck onto this RPG since late December (very late), and I agree with Raven, I remember when this was first set up and the posts where coming like gunfire.

*sigh* Yeah, those were the days. I hope it gets like that again.

I've written up Evan's character sheet ready for posting when he comes into it and am itching to RP as him. He is almost the polar opposite of his sister. It's going to be so fun. Just waiting for those who need patching up to do it, then they can make their break for the base. Cannot wait till you all see what this baby is hiding.

Also, this thread will serve as the OOC thread for All Tied Up. You need to discuss stuff or want to ask questions about the place, fiends or anything, ask here or PM me. Just out of curiosity: Do my titles help, or am I just corny?

I think the titles are cool and attracted a lot of people in the first place. Just keep doing titles like that, it keeps the momentum and people know who it's by without reading the author.

I think there must be only two people alive in All tied up. Either the others are dead or unconsious, the only other person there seems to be Evan and he's some where else. I wonder how many fiends are in the base... I can't wait to find out in the story. At least it means there wont be like five new characters, that might over crowd the party.

There had been more waiting before I think. Maybe they disappeared? It's been known to happen.

And no more titles right now. They just pop up out of my mind.

Yeah, this close to making Yasmin say "Fuck this, you guys can catch up." and bolt over there. But I want those who haven't tended their wounds yet to have a chance to do so.

Sorry for the late entry but just realised you had setup the thread for "All Tied Up". I also think its a great idea to seperate the different threads by titles. Way back in the day, I was RPing in story about Kilrick Salvage with Welsh, Caribe, Karkow and Prudence among many others (what the hell happened to you all?). Anyways, stories like Kilrick and Zombie Apocalypse managed to do well because there were different chapters that clued folks in on the current situation of events.

BTW, I have an interrogation planned for Eric. Thats the reason why he was seperated from the rest of the prisoners.

I was thinking that once the RPG is over (may still be a long time i'm a reckonin' but it's just a suggestion), each active character could do a one year on post sort of thing, describing what happened to them after the RPG, please tell me (aimed at Raven) if you think it is a feasible idea.

Hey, I've got the RP Darkness Falls and that kinda clues in after the events of New Vegas. Just a suggestion, but maybe your after stories happen in Darkness falls? :)

I have just a little suggestion for the people roleplaying, this might come off as rude or something, but I think you should lower the info dump or exposition a little, It's not that comfortable that you write some dialogue and then some internal monologue of something that happened, the characters around are not hearing it so it has no purpose, I think we should just stick to characterization and write the exposition only when needed or directly asked for.

If we do it, my after one year thing probably won't be much of a bother for you, mind, I still haven't decided whether my person will be settling in the Mojave, or Texas.

I think my guy needs some time to settle, once he's got the land he needs, he's going to travel back to the CW to try and bring his friend to the land so they can settle. Hopefully that made sense.

Well in regards to exposition, I want to be a writer and looking for chances to practice the craft. Anyways, someone from blood ties did a internal monologue on how the dog attacked them so I can't see how it can be a problem (I also liked it). Lastly, its not much of an information dump when its one paragraph describing the current physical condition that Eric is in. I believe its important and lets the reader know the limitations of the characters involved, how and why they act the way they do.

Raven said the fiends were smart so the last thing they do would is keep a bunch of prisoners together. Worse, with potential leaders and those with combat experience in the same room. If this were a cell block type situation then its possible. Folks can talk to eachother if their cells were next to echother but that also goes so far. Also, all tied up is a thread meant for info buildup/drama. You eliminate prison escape plans, drama, info, then all you got is a couple of guys making idle banter for 24 hour period which doesn't seem to work.
