Fallout: NV2 rumours (DEBUNKED, TOTAL BULLSHIT)

Not necessarily, what they did with AP shows it can work despite it not being ideal.
Why are you acting so danse? AP's wheel is not F4's wheel and stucking with the same system means stucking with the same wheel as F4 which is nothing like AP and not even a conversation system at all which means reworking it from the ground up. It's an overcomplicated 'GOTO Next scene'.

Why do you think they could not modify it?

They are similar enough in concept. http://www.nma-fallout.com/threads/...rs-with-the-fallout-4-dialogue-system.204536/

This is actually the thread that lead me to actually purchase and play AP.

RPGWatch reports rumours of a possible Fallout: New Vegas 2 being in the works.
https://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35561

The source cited is a very click-bait looking site and the article about the rumour was itself edited to remove a rather embarrassing interpretation of the PoE2 kickstarter teaser, as can be seen here:
http://web.archive.org/web/20170131...ut-new-vegas-2-details-leaked-reveal-planned/

Eric Fenstermaker shot it down on Twitter (called it a hoax) and Anthony Davis on the Codex ("If its happening, I don't see how obsidian could be involved."). I'm not sure if they'd have said anything if it was indeed in the making. And then there's of course Avellone who's for a time already been bumbing that Obsidian most certainly wouldn't be involved with Fallout.

I see no reason to hope for anything with this. Not before there is an actual official word (which I doubt will ever happen).

It would be a good time for a 20th anniversary Fallout game from the original devs, though.

However, it is known that Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky are currently working on an unannounced project at Obsidian. Most buzz is that this could be a Vampire: Bloodlines successor or another White Wolf property though.

In some Tyranny interview one Obsidian dev (can't remember who) said they're not working on a vampire game. But there apparently is a job opening for a character artist in the Cain/Boyarsky project which asks for knowledge on animal anatomy and stuff.

What do you think? Can Obsidian save the Fallout franchise?

If they can completely overhaul the game and its mechanics, and not just reiterate Beth's leftovers. IE, make Fallout game that actually looks and feels and works like one.

A "New Vegas 2" makes no sense, as the story of Vegas has been told already.

If Obsidian makes a Fallout NV2, that would be great! However I stronkly surgestificate (strongly suggest) patience in the matter.

Thus far I see only a off hand rumor that could have easily been started in some unrelated location. There is no evidence nor any real data to suggest that this is indeed a viable option to consider.

Having said that lets all go contact obsidian, and spam them with love letters until they make the game, maybe it will work?

Good, you've all given up on it. Does this mean I can merge this shitty non-news with the original thread in Fallout Discussion to get this filth off of the front page?
edit: you know what, I'm just gonna do it.

Just imagine I posted a Shia La Buff - to lazy to look his name up now - video before you decided to do it.

Kotaku is calling a site out for spreading false rumours? Is it opposite day already?
