Fallout website up and Vision Statement revealed

I remember it like it was never.

What fond memories I do have of that man.

Good of them to update.

Other then the 'nothing new to see here' problem, I'm a little miffed that they expect to so easily displace existing FO coverage sites...

Where can I get more information on the game?

Continually visit our website and check our previews and interviews sections. Information will slowly be revealed on the game until it is released. You can also check our Blog which is regularly updated with insights and opinions from members of the development team.

Come to them for all my Fallout needs? Pfft. Always get a second opinion I say; moreover, don't trust the fella' that says his is the only one worth a listen.

On another note I notice they have very few Avatar's... yet on of them is Valt-Tek?!

Just struck me as odd. Looks like V-T is indeed the Umbrella Corp. of Beth's vision of FO.

Also from the site:
Does the story in Fallout 3 pick up where Fallout 2 ended?

No, the story in Fallout 3 is a different story unto itself and isn't directly connected to any of the other storylines.

So the Enclave, Super Muntants, Brotherhood of Steel are all on the East Coast... but different story, how's that go again?

Meh, nothing on that site has moved me one bit. (or four pixels if you happen to be sitting)

@Altered Ego: OK, don't get pissed-off because of the image... It's just teasing.

Anyway, the diary... Sounds like justification to me.

i really dislike that survival elements they want to include. what's that, stalker? where in fallout i shoul've cared about water? I just hope it won't be like hunger in GTA:SA. Ding! you're thirsty! please find the water in 60 seconds or you'll die!

The whole "reinvention" bit sends shivers down my isles, but it's good to know them guys read the original documentation at least :D

I hate what there doing with fallout 3, but I did find the article kind of encouraging. Things still seem very much in flux at the moment. maybe we still can have a chance to change them.

It could be this is the first step in a real dialogue with them?

Maybe I am just overly optimistic, I don't know.

It's the last step in the real dialogue we already had with them! Read what the man says!

Heh. Opening a website, not linking to NMA, hinting several times this website is *the* place to go to for Fallout 3 news (a spot held by NMA for ages now) is not a step towards opening real dialogue.

If they want real dialogue, we've been here for ages. We've approached them many times. We're done working for it, it'd be nice if they took over. But they won't.

I have dialogues from time to time with my dog. I tell him nice things, and he listens, and then I throw some attractive object for him to chew on, and we're both happy! :D

Oh, wait. You mean DIALOGUE. Like, when two parties want to come to a common understanding?

I don't if it will happen. Honestly, I just don't know.

You guys are probably right. I guess I just gleaned maybe a small glimmer of hope from that article. But after reading it over it seems they are kind of trying to push NMA off the map, and more business as usual for them.

I think it was more the possible Illusion of hope, and not real hope:)

if they were indeed honest about the 'ridding the world of the misconceptions', we really should be the first place they'd set up a line of communication with.

something they obviously havent done, although we did try to contact them since the beginning.

As I said... I want to believe it. And I really want nothing more currently than to see it this, but I know it is wishing to much.

Still NMA will always be the 2nd web page I visit each morning when waking up. First - e-mail, second NMA. Weather it is Fallout 3 or 30 the source for Fallout or anything post-apocalyptic is un-matched.

Our website is only four pixels high, it's very hard to actually click on it even if you know it's there. With the official site, you can feel its presence and, uh, sit on it. :silly:

Nice site. I hope that won't be the last "nice" thing about this game...
And isn't poking that "reinvention" stick into an open wound pleasant?
