First Impression of Fallout 4

Has anyone fixed the stuttering and framerate drops for this shitty game?

Ehh kind of. My main problem are bugs and obviously the game itself.
I have a Piper sliding around with her arms in the air bug that i'm half tempted to upload and post here but I don't know.

I need to see that!

Bugs are hilarious!
Okay I uploaded it, here it is:
Notice how her pistol is "disassembled" too?

You know, New Vegas was buggy as fuck on release, but I have found more and new Bugs in Fo4 than I ever did in New Vegas.... Doesn't help that most of those bugs come from some of the mechanics themselves being mostly incomplete and just wonky by themselves. Did anyone ever had the TAB key not responding in New Vegas? Because that only has happened to me in FO4....

Can you start recording the bugs and other gameplay you find too? I never had the TAB bug in New Vegas, only in Fallout 4.

EDIT: I exited a terminal and this happened, I used no console commands and I couldn't move upwards or downwards...

Is this game really this buggy? This is more buggy for me than my experiences from playing New Vegas, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Morrowind.

Oh wow, I thought it was only me since not a lot of people talked about it on other boards. Yeah, TAB seems to be randomly not responding.

I usually fix it by Alt-tabbing to Windows and then back. But it sure is annoying.

Woah... it's their fault!

I still think Skyrim is a boring hiking simulator and this game can go into the pile too.
Skyrim is the shit when significantly modded. Got 800+ hours in and have ever barely touched the main quest. I intend to play it for at least 800 more, by which time Fallout 4 will probably have some interesting mods available.

Ah, mods will fix it ... that one ... well sadly that doesn't change what the game is without mods :/

only on the bottom left of the map can you go beyond the square of the map where the glowing sea is and thrs only the stupid cave there.I was trying to explore the swamps all the way in the south but the "you cannot go that way" prompt comes up even before I am at the border of the square. So basically the whole land mass to the south is there to make the game look a lot bigger thn it really is and I don't think thr is even anyting in the water, once again just there to make the map look bigger

this is roughly the real size of the map

Well, the way I'd sum up my experience with Fallout 4 is with one simple but powerful word nowadays: MEDIOCRE!!

That's what happens when you take great RPGs and let marketing executives dictate development.

Bleh, pretty much. I thought I'd be alright at least going around in my power suit shooting stuff but you can't take two frigging steps without bumping into some half-assed scripted scene or some vault/big building/whatever, oh and then there's the fucking HDR glare all over the place I feel like my eyes are in the sun. Forget about 100% looting everything from some random place, it'll respawn as if you weren't there at all. What gets me the most is how inane NPCs get and how bad the AI is. Just problems, issues and bugs adnauseam. Worse thing is I managed to suffer it for more than a week until calling it quits.

I feel some form of horrible hangover and need some serious therapy on top of that from this shite that is "Fallout 4". *goes makes a calming tea and boots up Fallout 2* Now If you'll excuse me, *takes a deep breath* ..need to recuperate.

Yep gotten the TAB bug, gotten the bug in that video where you're in freefall when you exit a terminal, and to top it off I get a bug that makes it so hotkeys basically don't work. I'll press a hotkey it'll take like 5 seconds to equip my weapon, if it gets equipped at all, at this point it's faster to select it in my pip-boy, if the tab key is actually working that is. It's been a long time since NV's release, but I don't remember this many bugs, at least not as many bugs that directly mess with gameplay. IIRC Skyrim was fairly stable and bug-free on launch for a Bethesda game, at least in my experience.

Yeah Hotkeys are also pretty buggy, I'll press 1 a bunch and Milquetoast Sr. just doesn't use the Stimpaks I have to manually go into the Pipboy use the Stimpaks from there and then Unfavortie and refavorite Stimpaks for the hotkey to work again....

I truly believe it is the best game in the Fallout franchise, with No. 2 being F:NV respectively.
