It's so crazy it's fun. Me and some guys made the first gang: Teh Skullz. It was gallons of fun. Here some of our exploits:

1. Killed some guy in Klamath 'cause he killed me when I stole his stupid rock.

2. Killed a children in Klamath... just because. And then, we were chased by the town people, who managed to get me. This hurts.

3. Tried to kill two guys in metal armor in The Den. Someone with a pulse rifle came in and killed our gang. It was pretty fun to see people running like crazy!

We really need a 100% English translation, a functional faction system (so we can make raiders, gangs, guards, etcetera) and easier ways to get weapons for ourselves!

I'm Doc Holiday, btw. Drop a msg when you're back.

I'm back already, the robbed guy in the respawing place shot me. I need to get IRC, btw.

From the FOnline Forum:
-If you get to the place you can't get out, than just type "~toglobal" in the cantilever, and you'll be returned to the global map.

What if you had some system of bounties that could be placed on peoples' heads when they break rules (child killing, NPC killing, stealing, PKing, etc)? Not sure if NPC bounty hunters would be feasible, but offering other players incentive to hunt down the "bad" players could be fun, and it might keep rule-breaking somewhat in check. Of course, there's all sorts of ways this could break the economy, but it might be a jumping-off point to think about.

I found some guy in Advanced Power Armor (what, Enclave started selling them now?) and while he was dumping some stuff in the ground, I stole a Metal Armor, a radio and ran away! Mwhahahahahhaha!

Judging from some of the comments in this thread, this game should be renamed to Tibia 2 - After the Apocalypse or something. ;p

Some guy in PA adopted me as his slave, I got a gauss rifle and a power fist
Worship me! And I shall provide! Praise the Unity!!

T'was me. Slaught, you stole Dude101 metal armor btw, and you just missed Doc Holiday power armor...

That don't change the fact that you are on my deathlist...wait till i have ammo for that bozar of mine...

Yep, ammo is the problem, you can find weapon pretty quickly, but you have to shoot 10 time at the same guy to kill him. And when it is empty, you won't find any refill.

Did anyone of you had to fight against human oponent on the worldmap? (raider, gang...)
Can you blow wallforce with dynamite?

I want that PA back, by the way. So whoever has it - prepare to die.

It was you, man? LOL!! That Metal Armor is not with me anymore. After stealing that stuff, I ran to Klamath, were I went to the rat caves. All was well, and I kicked Rat's ass until some Klamath dude with a assault rifle came around and started bursting the rats. Then, after he killed all the rats, the guy burst-shot me for no reason. I died bleeding. I wonder how they still have a rat problem...

Yes, ammo was a large problem. I found many BB guns (are all kids called "Johnny?"), someone even gave me a Gauss Rifle but I had no skill to use it. I had almost no ammo.

I found NO human enemies across the map. The usual rat or gecko, even a small deathclaw, but no two-legged shuffler. Weird.

Ok, here's my big, total feedback about the game:

The Good:

Freedom. You do what you damn want. If you want to punch some random guy in the face, do that. In fact, it's very fun to walk into a city and see piles of dead bodies and people shooting around like crazy. Such is the law of the wasteland.

PvP Extreme: PvP enabled everywhere is great. Couple it with the steal skill and you have to keep yourself at your own damn toes or get killed. This forces the player to remain aware of what he does and where's he's walking into.

Steal Skill: Never seen a MMORPG where people have to be careful, because they might find out their godies dissapeared. This keeps up with the Pos-Apoc feeling, which is very good. It also makes a entire "paranoid" feeling all the time, you can never know if some noob wants your stuff just because he's near you, so, sometimes, you have to shoot at people.

Teaming-Up: I teamed up with some guys (Doc Holiday and Kyle) and we wrecked havok as Teh Skullz. We almost came to be a super-gang. But, when we tried kiling some guy in Metal Armor, someone appeared and killed us with a Pulse Rifle. It was every man for himself then, and that was somehow great.

Gang Fights: Okay, me an' Doc Holiday were in The Den, minding our bussiness, when.... *dum de dum* three thugs jumped against us! I tried to use a gauss rifle the Doc gave me, but no avail. My skill sucked. Meanwhile, the thugs went after me. The Doc hit one of them with his energy gun (I think it was a Pulse Pistol) and he died! The second one had the same fate. The last guy, clad in Power Armor, escaped instead!

Struggle for Resources and Survival: Fights happened all the time. People wanted guns, ammo and money. The ground was soaked with blood, blood, blood. The stench of death was everywhere. It was a reign of chaos. Hmmm... smells Fallout for me.

The Bad:

Killing of quest-vital NPcs sucks. Sure, liberty is good, but even freedom must have limits. In the beggining, Tubby killed a lot of n00bs. But sooner or later, he had to bit the dust and someone killed him. Important people should have guards armed to fight to the death. The robbed guys at the respawn point have never been killed. People tried, though.

Too few ammo. Ammo was rarer than gold there. And I mean it.

No starting stuff. Yeah... you get a radio. And that's that. I think that a pipe rifle, 72 10mm bullets, a boxing glove, two stimpaks, a knife, some throwing knifes and a rope is enough stuff to start with. Nearly everyone will have what they need.

Respawn takes too long. I can talk about the world's politic for a long time until they take me back to that strange place. Takes too long.

Almost nowhere to hide and stow your stuff. No banks or something.

The language. Please translate. Even if you guys just run it though google translator or babylon, it will get tons better. I can't understand russian to save my life.

Navarro was looted soon. I even went there, no guard moved a inch against me.

There are some issues with movement and punching.

The Suggested:

What about some ruined cities where you can scavenge stuff?

What about the hability to create a "treasure site" where you can stow your loot in the middle of nowhere and only you know? Maybe there could be ways to find a pllayer's treasure site by using outdoorsman, random chance and tracking in some way?

Banks would be good too. Or storehouses super-well-guarded where they guard your things for a price?

I think that buying a house or taking a abandoned place would be a nice alternative. There should be someway of making clear that it's Slaughter's Bunker, House or something. Maybe the possibility of paying guards to guard your stuff, arm traps, lock doors with passwords and super-locks, using portable turrets (you lay then where you want and anyone who ins't you will be shot), or even building or/and programming a robot to guard your place?

Hirelings and mercenaries to do your bidding would be nice, too. Of course, if someone tries to steal from them, have the mercenaries shoot 'em.

The hability to make a gang, or a band of riders, or form the Town Guard?

Faction wars?

That was probably one of the best moments in the game so far. They tried to rob us and we (and by we I mean "I, singlehandedly") showed them. I pulverized these suckers with my trusty Alien Blaster.

The game is a lot of fun. Even in the total sandbox state we (non russian speakers) have to play it.

Good feedback there, slaughter.

Regarding the mindless killing of NPCs - that one is tricky, but it can be handled: simply don't make your HP increase with every levelup.
I cannot remember where I read it, (I think it was one of the papers from 'the order' - anyone can confirm ?) where they choose this approach, and it always made a lot of sense to me.
A level 30 character with 300 HP is able to resist 2 direct hits with a laser without armor (just an example) .. so no wonder that they can kill an entire town. Just make it fixed on say, 25 hp (depending on their EN stat) so that they'll always run the risk of being killed by a fortunate lesser being with a lucky crit. It will drop the chances of a power player killing an entiry town.

My 2 cents.

I can't believe it, I gained a level! I can punch things better now! I'm awesome!
Also:

Told you, Ark en Ciel! There was a crazye near the rats in Klamath that killed me with his assault rifle!

And I died again, damn. I think I'll go to the Den. When this is going to be translated to English?

What time is most of the english folks on? I wouldn't mind teaming up with some people.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind too. Cause last time I do not have much luck to english speaking people...

(Once I teamed up with some dude from Poland, but we've died so quickly...)

I agree. It could requite some more tweaking maybe, but could work. Like I said before, make player attached to the game, no to it's uber-pwning-30lvl character which is so goddamn uber that he got bored and plan to wipe earth clean of life...

thank you all for your feedback - i see you're having a lot of fun out there :-)

Maybe sometime you will see me - i'm just a peaceful guy in Advanced Power Armor - didn't kill a single man!)) i don't appreciate that NPC-killing madness but someone obviously finds that "teh awesome"))

The problem with translation is really urgent but i suppose that nothing will change within the bounds of open testing - people just have other things to do. I am doing translations right now but it's a long lasting work (not hard, but looooooooooooooong).

I'd like to point out that there will be NO gangs/clans in this game. There are factions already (BoS, Enclave, Raiders etc.) and not a single one will be programmatically created by users. However, that don't mean you can't unite in groups, call yourself "Teh Skullz" and be an uber-k00l gang)))

one of our team members told me to point you out that if you press F1 you'll get a help screen))

This is pretty awesome so far. My top issues:

- The PvP. I've nothing against PvP, but it seems the moment you log in someone will come up and punch you in the face for your radio. There needs to be a safe haven of sorts, especially for players who are just starting out.

- Nothing to start with, as been mentioned repeatedly. Then again, this might be a problem unless the PvP issue is taken care of (people camping the gates of the Den for fresh newbie loot income)..

- Mass NPC murder. There needs a few special NPCs (Tubby, etc) that have no AI and cannot be hurt. That said, if it were possible to somehow 'respawn' the rest of the NPCs some time after they all die and clean up all the bodies in the street, that will be great.

- Loss of the entire inventory upon death. There needs to be some way to prevent that, or just revamp it so that you only lose money / your held weapon / whatever. As long as you lose everything upon death, people will keep doing little more than kill each other.

-------

Other than that, it looks great - and surprisingly solid. Any roleplayers out there?
