From the director of Independence Day...2012

Reminds me of Noah's Ark. But this movie will probably be another attempt to slam some environmental bullshit lessons down our throats.
better that than religious bullshit, no? :)

I like how it is always a Nature based apocalypse. nothing bad ass Like....I dunno.

Great Cthulu coming up from the ocean and making people insane with fear while he dick smacks our landmarks in a montage of famous places getting fucked up.

nope. Just pissed off clouds.

This movie looks ridiculously silly. Once you get past the basic premise, these movies never have anywhere to go and they just become so overthetop.

I'll pass. Shame too, I usually like John Cusack

I don't know why some guys here seem like they're wanting this to be high cinema.

Just turn your brain off, and enjoy the ride.

Looks like mindless summer fun.

You said it, but didn't really feel like offending people here with my anti-religious views. :P

Guess Peter Griffin was right, the clouds are scheming against us.

Aye! Thank to him I spent a fortune buying the cloud insurance.

Destruction cause by Nature's Wrath aint as badass as destruction cause by human invention, alien or unexplained cool sh!t.

It's probably going to be really retarded but spectacular nonetheless.

I like it

this coming from one of the most outspoken anti-FO3 posters is fucking deliciously ironic. sorry buddy, it just is.

People have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years, and so far not one of them has been right. Even if the doomsayers nailed it this time, their overall percentage of accuracy would still be abysmal.

Cause even a mindless summer block buster can try to have a bit of class in it and spend some thoughts about its content. I mean seriously already the first line in the trailer tells tons about it ... "Mankinds earliest Civilisation warned us"

No doubt about the rich culture they had but this just sounds ridiculous.

Care to share a "classy" summer blockbuster?

Iron Man was ass. The dude builds an atomic heart in a cave with a screwdriver and some spare metal parts.

"Dark Knight" hardly can be called a "summer blockbuster."

Star Trek?

Iron Man was enjoyable and fun. Not necessarily classy, though.

I have no idea why you can't call The Dark Knight, released in July 2008, a summer blockbuster.

I forgot about Star Trek. You are 100% correct, and I withdraw my previous statement about summer movies.

Batman didn't seem to me like a "summer blockbuster" in the same manner that "Transformers 2" does, if you see my point.

that's because it was actually GOOD and made by a great director, you nitwit. thus proving the point of the argument that summer blockbusters (the definition would be "big budget movie, lots of hype, comes out in summer") don't have to be retarded bullshit like Transformers or this idiotic 2012 tripe.

well it definetly is possible to make a very action filled content somewhat authentic the point is not that it has to be very "realistic" or always give you the feeling that its correct. But as someone mentioned the Dark Knight that is a good example.

Another good movie for that would be Mission Impossible while the second and third movie completely went in the wrong direction in my eyes.
