Fuck Notre Dame. Seriously.

Ok, for some odd reason I got it in my head you claimed objectivity, my bad.

Yea, I clearly am for the U.S. as this is the land I live in which sustains me. I have a vested interest in making sure that we are the top dog and that the problems that befall weaker nations do not befall mine.

Snowden was an asshole who actually thought his was the only nation who pulled that shit. I am pretty sure allies spy on each other as well. You know, the whole trust but verify thing? Unfortunately, we had a dumbass who aired it while our allies clearly had smarter intelligence employees.

I do think it's good to call out Snowden (and anyone else that does the same) for his hypocrisy of trading one unjust gov't for another. Snowden is now in the good graces of Putin who has no qualms sending FSB agents into foreign soil for political assassinations. How can anyone take him seriously now?

I don't even want to imagine whatever else he has had to leak or reveal regarding the NSA's operations. He likely further undermined our countries national security in order to maintain his asylum status in Moscow. He makes around $10,000 per remote speaking session with various organizations that want to interview him. It's a complete farce at this point.

Chelsea Manning still has bigger balls post-op than Snowden.

*shakes head*
Without any offense, but I'll never understand you guys ...

When I ask for higher taxes on the rich to support poor people? Naw, can't trust the government! Free markets baby!

But someone like Snowden actually exposing the wrong doings of the government? LOCK HIM UP! LOCK HIM UP!

I knew Notre Dame was a big place but I didn't know it'd take this long to fuck it.

I'm sorry. I mean kiss and lay down on-top of.

On the other side of the coin your solution to fix US corruption, general malfeasance and nefarious meddling is to make the it bigger, more poweful and richer at the expense of people. Must feed the beast!

By taking ... their wealth away, makes sense. - Well not all of it, but I would tax the shit out of them like during the 1950s with income tax of 90%. Ah! The good old days, when Republicans used to actually fight banks and the wealthy.

Probably yeah. I am the kind of guy, that thinks Bernie Sanders is actually a moderate democrat and not even a 'leftist'. That's how left I am!

Look at the bright side. UN asked rich people for donations in order to fight famine in Yemen three months ago, which resulted in almost three billions collected within hours. I really doubt people taxed out to the bone would have send anything.

Well, they probably wouldn't have had to ask for donations to begin with :aiee:

"Btw, that incredible amount of money we taxed you guys for to improve the welfare of your local counties, states, whatever? We sent it to Yemen lmao."

Fuck this thread, seriously.

I feel like the second one, expecially when I see threads like this one. That's why I smoke fattin's.

Crni

Snowden didn't accomplish anything with his leak except make us look bad over something EVERYONE already does. The only difference is our allies don't have retards on their payroll so their spying on US, wasn't exposed.

Yea, our government spies on us but guess what, EVERY government does check up on its own citizens on some level. It is the cost of security. Still, we are not living in an Orwellian nightmare even though social justice warrior Snowden attempted to make it as such.

The fact of the matter was Snowden only succeeded in making his own country look bad for doing shit EVERYONE does. Did he make the world fundamentally safer? No. Did he make America stronger? No. Did he stop the NSA from listening to traffic for terrorists? Well kind of.

Snowden was a for himself attention whore or he could have done something much better for the American people with his access. Instead, he ran to Russia to suck Putins cock.

You're suppose to look bad. You're the United States Government. The Army for the People, by the People. You're suppose to be transparent, you're suppose to uphold and defend the constitution, but you don't do that.

You hide the truth and let conman manipulate you by focusing your attention on their ideas and biases on shit, when you're suppose to be informed by the best intelligence possible which is total transparency.

You give the enemy no argument so that everything you do makes you look like a criminal.

If you think you live in the United States that is in your head you are gravely out of touch with reality.

I live in a U.S. and also, a world that is REALISTIC. Is our government running the idealized way our founding fathers had planned? Probably not. But our founding fathers didn't have to deal with terrorism, the internet, and a competitive global stage. At the time the constitution was formed, we had just gained our independence. We were not the hegemon we are today so a lot of things have changed drastically.

Just like how the anti-gun crowd loves to say times have changed to support their arguments against the 2nd amendment, I would make the same argument with the U.S. of today.
