What the hell can someone "feel about" furries, who isn't one allready?
It's a weird, out-there sexual fetish, I guess I feel about furries like I feel about people who masturbate to fruit?

I guess, the cliche "as long as they don't push that shit on me" applies, which is kind of what happened, years ago, on a dinosaur forum I hung on. A member there chose to justify his fetish to himself, by insisting everyone else were like him - only in denial.
That did obviously not go down very well with the community.
To be fair, he was probably more outright "zoophiliac" than simply a "furry"

That said, furry porn is one of the best ways to really troll/traumatize friends, with rick-rolly-type links and such. A friend of mine used to do that to me, not a lot, though, we weren't enemies, and she didn't want to truly hurt me.

I am almost fascinated with the level of attention and detail put into some of that artwork. Then again, nothing really surprises me with humanity, it just goes into the long register of "weird-ass shit we put time and effort into", as a species :D

Yep. The biggest problem with fandoms
Is they don't know when to draw the line. And yet they draw so.. so many traumatizing lines...

I have no problems with furries, I even have a couple of friends who are furries and they are pretty nice people.

Furries do not want to bang actual animals, they want to bang humanoid intelligent animals. Like @Mr Fish said before, if it is intelligent, is able give consent and it's an adult in their species then what is the problem?

When furries started to be more common on the internet I always wondered why they are seen as a totally freak community, after all most of then are attracted by pretty much humans with different skin colors, tails, different shaped ears and little else (unless it is extreme furries that are attracted by actual animal like physiology that is too different from humans, but to each his own), it is like people who get turned on by anime characters, elves, fairies, succubus/incubus or alien girls/guys (again like @Mr Fish said).

In terms of sexual fetishes I have no problem with any of them unless they intentionally break the law or hurt people without their consent.
I would never be attracted by many of the fetishes out there and some might even make me want to throw up but, whatever makes other people happy it's not for me to criticise :shrug:.

On an unrelated note, I never thought I would be searching the internet for "sexy blue alien girl" and "sexy blue furry girl" :lmao:.

Okay Hassknecht has already commented on this so I don't have to add my voice to it.

I have no problem with this topic as it remains civil, mention your like of the subject, your dislike of the subject, feel free to question to ask each other why he or she has this opinion, but no personal attacks or getting really serious about "All them furfags must die, they are a stain upon the human species" (I'll let the posts somewhat themed like this pass for now).

That also goes about personal drama though knowing this forum and its members that is unlikely to happen, but no crap with such a theme like "No one understands me".
You brought you like/dislike up and wanted to talk about it? Then expect also to be questioned about it or getting criticism.

As for furries and the furry fandom, it has been around for decades, actually even centuries in one form of another as a lot of cultures have been making up stories about animals with human traits such as being able to talk and think like humans or are somewhat humanoid in nature such as the Egyptian gods.
I guess it is more in your face now because of the internet and a lot of fans who previously were... well I would not call it 'isolated', but finding it difficult to get in touch with people who also wanted to talk about it or make art and other furry related items and merchandise.

There are better written articles on than I can write in just five minutes.

What I love about the Fury community, even if I am not a part of it, is that it shows the hypocrcy of all that comes with it. I am not talking about anyone here, mind you! I am just saying, I always have to shake my head, about people that get angry and agitated about "Furies" and the porn, but not realizing how they have almost the same principles working with movies, cartoons and games. As some already made the example with Mass Effect, could as well add the blue X-Man chick to it. I am sure this "feminine" look was chosen not by accident ...

Dunno, allegedly some maketing firm contracted by Disney actually reached out to furry groups to post stuf on Instagram.

Either way, I don't particularly care about furries (as well as other sexual fetishes) as long as it's all consentual.
It's just too much fun to post HERESY memes.

But encouraging a community where a large part fetishizes(?) it to spread awareness of the film just seems like a poor idea to me.
