Game Informer Fallout 3 article scans

1) Wait for someone to mod the hell out of it.
2) Wait for another game you're interested in.

The V.A.T.S. combat system keeps the game firmly grounded in the tactical decision-making of great RPGs

So we spent a lot more time on that mode so you can play the whole game that way if you want.
They sound really dedicated to presenting an alternative to first-person perspective, don't they? "If you want" indeed.

I'm far from satisfied with dialogue or choice & consequences until I see it in action for myself. The release of Oblivion was littered with broken assurances and overblown hype about all manner of things. It is up to Bethesda to prove that Fallout 3 is not following the same path. Things have hardly been promising so far.

Hey! There's going to be an insance religious zealot kneeling next a massive undetonated bomb.

How "Beneath Planet of the Apes"

Also - There seems to be way too many gimmicky things.

V.A.T.S?
"You're Special"
"G.O.A.T" - Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test. Is J.K. Rowling being consulted on the acronyms?

I don't think I could find a better depiction of "Oblivion with guns" than these screenies.

Hell, even the Super Mutants wield maces!!!
Rofl gg, I'm done waiting for this one, there's Jagged Alliance 3 coming.

Notice the complete lack of the typical Falloutish visual style. It looks like FO: PoS.
Notice how completly forced and out of place the few references to Fallouts original style are. (The Vault Boy for example who appears on some pages)

I would probably enjoy this game if it was called Super Mutant killing fest or whatever else than Fallout 3. What I mean is that I'm not saying it won't be a good FPS, but it won't be Fallout.

A "Generalized Learner's Occupational Aptitude Test" would be MUCH BETTER in my book.

You can shoot his weapon though. Maybe he needs to pan down for the groin shot.

And there are kids in the game, no word on whether you can kill them.

There's a lot of crap in here, especially the supermutants, and the eerie similarities to Fo:BoS.

Well, they technically CAN still rework the mutants, and look at it this way: I don't see any thongs.

Yea, I'm sure that's what BS is doing right now.

Great news !

Is there someone here interested in extracting the full text ?

It would help a lot especially for the translation of this huge article. :D

Thx a lot !

Gah this is one game I really wanted my hunches to proven wrong on.

The super mutant = WTF, definitely more akin to something from FO:POS. Why oh why could they not *look* at how they were depicted in the talking heads.. is that too fecking hard? I guess they want the game to be omg scary like Doom3.. Dread to think what ghouls will look like - wonder if they will be fodder?

Some of the screen shots look FO'ish, but I can't help but think that is largely down to the fact they all seem to either have a guy in a blue jumpsuit in them or a poster of vaultboy. Take them away and I would have a hard time guessing what game it was. FO screamed FO - heck even that prototype/concept art by troika screamed it more than this does...

Haven't read the full article yet, but from what's been said so far really don't know if I want to.. I mean the fact they are boasting to be using more pixel shaders 'than ever before' just on the pipboy is hardly encouraging, clearly they are more interested in making it shiney and gimmicky than anything else.

Think we'd get incarcerated for mass assaulting their offices and vatting the lot of em?
