Game Informer Unlimited FAQ and video

I think it flies in the face of the original intent. By bringing back Mutants and BoS, even if under a different banner, they're discarding evolution of the story for cheap thrills we've seen over a dozen times. It's the easy way out. Why try to write something compelling when you can just dump in more Mutants for easy consumption.

Did you play BoS?
did you like it?

I played them all, too. However, i played BoS and i thought of it as a nice game, but in connection with the Fallout series, that game is just an insult, so are space orcs in Fallout 3...

I liked Fallout 1 & 2, Tactics and BoS. Sorry for insulting you. Can't be helped I guess.
you insulted me?

in that sentence, i ment it's more like an insult for the Fallout series, because it's just not fitting to the style, the plot, what fallout is about, and everything.

and we are going a bit off-topic, i fear

Vehementi, I know this is a hard task, but please do read the recent threads, do play the game, and if after that you come back trying to pretend Fallout is not clearly defined, I will give you a strike for trolling.

I played the games, obviously. I thought that was a given. I haven't read recent threads and don't really intend to. I read everything in this thread, and I read the last ~10 pages of the 50 page thread where concernedcitizen and Sander were talking. Sander linked various things and says that he presented his argument numerous times. I read it. I just responded to it.

I just lost a whole ton of respect for you if you are saying that if I don't agree with you, I'm trolling and you're going to ban me.

I on the other hand just gained a whole lot of respect for him. If you don't agree, then far as I'm concerned, you don't belong here.

Consider it the worthwhile kind of ethnic cleansing.

You're a self-professed troll, the fact that you have no been banned yet is a small miracle. I don't think your respect factors into that, I would simply watch what I do, if I were you.

Indeed he should watch himself. People here have read books about survival in Fallout/Wasteland type settings. They could probably kill him using nothing but their wits and knowhow if they so chose to and no one would be the wiser. He'd better pray no one ever find out where he lives.

The only people in this case trolling (besides the people crying about me being on Beth's payroll, and my first post here) are the admins calling me a troll instead of replying in a civilized manner to my well-constructed posts that are clearly not trolling, whether you feel I'm wrong or not.

It doesn't matter how well or intelligent you write it. If he says you're trolling, you're trolling, and should shut up and leave. Your opinion is officially null and void as of now, and nothing you do will change that.

Really, loss of your respect doesn't matter to me, as long as it forces you to take one more level of Comprehension, re-read, and stop posting utter nonsense, claiming that Fallout isn't objectively defined. it is tantamount to saying the colour of grass is not green, here.

Strike two for trolling, which is to be said: not letting what is written here get past your receptors and not letting the obvious shatter your poor little trollish world order. One can only reiterate that many times before losing patience and starting to deter instead of educating.

Comma whore out.

I asked for more sources of information, I asked if I'd missed an article I should further consider. You said "read threads and play the game". By trying to ban me for disagreeing with your interpretation of fallout, you don't "get me to read more", you just make yourself look bad. Especially when you bust out the custom gifs. FYI.

Of course you are trolling, since there´s a whole thread about F3 on the board where you come from. Also it seems fashionable to constantly rant about NMA there, while at the same time each of them comes here in secret for the patches/mods and info.

Youre not here to discuss anything, but to provoke reactions by making statements that are in stark contrast to the general opinion on this board.

Vehementi;
Sorry, we can explain it to you, but we can not understand it for you.

The material available speaks for itself. Maybe you need to click on the History of Fallout thing again, since it got recently updated:
Fallout: combat

When asked to talk about Fallout's combat system, Tim Cain has noted "I think the strength of Fallout's combat system is that it was easy to understand and use, but still complex enough to give you many options on how to fight. Turn-based combat gives you more time to think of battle tactics, so combat feels richer - and a lot of people responded to that." (ref) Additionally, Tim explained "It also showed how popular and fun turn-based combat could be, when everyone else was going with real-time or pause-based combat." (ref)

Fallout 3
Did you guys have a story ready for a Fallout 3? Or what was your plan?
Leonard Boyarsky: We had a few different things we were tossing back and forth, but nothing concrete. We were thinking more along the lines of overall gameplay, functionality, etc. than story at this point.

Would you have made Fallout 3 isometric and with Turn Based combat or would you have followed the same principle that you're using on this PA title?
Leonard Boyarsky: I don’t know how I would have felt about making FO3 anything but isometric and turn based. We did have an extremely high budget idea for another approach, but even in that scenario combat was isometric and turn based. Of course, it’s easy for me to say I wouldn’t have done a paused real time FO3 now, but I don’t know what I would have said if the offer was made. (ref)

Oh no, you've got an asshole and guess what, it stinks.

Objective truths, aren't subject to interpretation, get over it.

You were spoon-fed the information by Sander, now, digest it, here's a custom pic to go with that, now, goodbye.

Oh I know what I'm talking about, I've played every Fallout so far and I'm a huge fan of the series, it's just that I don't mind a bit of variation
So you go for a different game.
That's like saying, I enjoyed Halo, I enjoyed Halo 2, but I want variation.... let's say some sports so please make Halo 3 a sports game. NO YOU GO FIND A SPORTS GAME TO PLAY. K THX BYE.

Tora, naughty naughty, your example is exagerated. Fallout won't be a space race or a life sim, it's still going to be a rpg. In name only, but that doesn't mean you can write off change like that.

I for one always enjoy new things, and bad things to change, but good old things to ramain the same.

Fallout 3 will be Bethesda's own bastard child. Brother None has showed us the litght, for we have been blind, who their "target" is. This reminds me of a line that 38 said in Republic Commando, regarding a coward clone trooper:

"What a waste of good genes."

It's a bean counting pole 8)

or better yet Lame Innovative Todd Guessing Hines Targeting system (L.I.T.G.H.T.s), which auto-targets bethesda devs as "fanbase".

Ya I know its exaggerated, but I'm just tired of using realistic examples because those don't seem to get through... not that the exaggerated ones get through either... but those require less thinking :P
