I don't get why any first person game uses motion blur. It feels like complete shit.

Found myself another gaming pet peeve - live dialogs with dialog options, and NPCs or other environmental factors physically bumping your character, making you accidentally choose the wrong dialog option (Cyberpunk), or pushing you out of the dialog entirely (Skyrim + Fallout 4) sometimes even to the detriment of quest progression.

Another one is WILD MOVEMENTS, exemplified in Witcher 3, where the fight-movements are super awesome, untill you want to fight off some minor enemies on a steep ledge, and every swing you do results in your protagonist LEAPING off the cliff, with SUPER BRAVADO to his death

One thing I mostly hate is crybabies. It's not funny to me and I don't enjoy tantrums. I hate it, and my general feeling while gaming is not giving a shit about winning so I tend to be fine in even the most dastardly stab. I'm pretty averse to confrontation in real life, so a game table is an area where I'm allowed to indulge in something that in general I'm not big on. As soon as people are whiny babies about losing at a table, it steals like 90% of the fun out of a game for me as it turns the game emotionally very real for me. It's interesting because some people's most fun gaming moments revolve around people's saltiness or their anger but for me, it is a huge turnoff.

Geralt dies if he falls more than like three feet, lol.

While we're on the subject, NPCs that you have to escort/follow and they go slower or faster than you. So you're just stuck doing this annoying stopping and running.

I really hate stuff being locked to NG+. What's even the in universe justification for me not being able to beat a boss, get a summon, weapon or skill until I have beat the game and restarted it? Dumb. I get ti when like the thing is unlocked at the very last battle because it makes sense, but Persona 5 Royal for example has the whole third semester (altho is just 2 months, but whatever) after you go through the final boss and acquire the Ultimate persona... but you still can't fuse it that run, you have to beat the epilogue and then restart the cleared game to fuse it, even tho in universe you literally unlocked it and the characters acknowledge you unlocking it.

Is this partially about Dark Souls 2? I like and dislike it at the same time. It encourages you to replay the game on NG+ and the way Bonfire Ascetics work, you can use meta knowledge to grab those items in normal NG but then it makes that area NG++ if you go into NG+. Strange, but neat idea. Don't fully agree with it though so I definitely take your side to this.

I hate difficulty being just that all the enemies have higher HP, especially if the game has things like guns and is ostensibly "realistic." I prefer when difficulty is increased for things like the handicaps put on the AI are lessened or entirely removed so they spot you better, track you better, or have access to more abilities at higher levels.

Another one - patches that change things up on a more fundamental level - looking FIRMLY at you No Man's Sky, there are SO many weird changes that have occured in patches, that to me seem completely arbitrary. The most annoying are recipe changeups, elements removed from the game, or various "color codes" swapped around arbitrarily. All of this reads to me like Sean Murray just woke up from a dream, ran to the dev teams, and just "Okay - ALL metals now have YELLOW background color instead of BLUE! THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! Also, I don't like Sulphur anymore, remove it from the game! Also, let's change up some recipes, in case a player is actually trying to systematically farm elements for them!"

A related one is quest nerfing, which I'm seeing in the latest Cyberpunk patch, where - it would appear people might have complained quests were too difficult, and in later patches, the quests have been completely de-fanged. In particular, one of my favorite wtf-moments have been completely removed - where an intelligent vending machine provokes a heart-attack in the player, causing their near death on the spot. I'm not sure if survival depends on total HP, but I sure hope so, cus that was one fucking awesome moment - nobody else have I seen a game just slap you with a heart-attack: REMOVED! Now it is 100% safe to talk to the vending machine. Nothing bad will happen. Green light. Unicorns. Hugs.

Another is one where you are deprived of all light, and must carefully follow red neon tubes inside a cramped basement. Orientation is nearly impossible, except if you blindly (pun intended) trust the neon lights (as instructed by the quest) and follow them. Doing this, you will complete the quest. After patch, the whole place is lit up sufficiently for these neon lights to make NO difference: Nothing bad will happen. Unicorns. Hugs.

Hey, how about this - next patch, remove the boss fights, they were a bit tricky sometimes. How about also ditch damage when attacked? I'm not a fan of being damaged. Etc. I hate people.

Too many to list, but I'll just say poorly designed RPG mechanics based around a very narrow focus... I'm saying
this because I was thinking about Final Fantasy Tactics earlier, which routinely pits the player against extremely OP
bosses solo, even though most of the game is played with a squad. This means that if you wanted to primarily be a Bard, Chemist, Mediator, or even a Knight, you were going to wind up having a very bad time at some point. The game features a very robust and innovative jobs system which it then hamstrings and punishes the player for
attempting to be creative with. Almost every fight is fine except for these solo boss battles, and even then you
often need to equip specific accessories in order to avoid being instantly killed, confused, or turned into stone without any means of defending yourself. The only defense is prior knowledge of the upcoming fight, which frankly ruins the game's appeal unless you like turning off your imagination, playing by the rules, and building the OP PC (which
comes in two flavors, to be fair) that was designed for you.

The worst part is that if you had your team with you, a lot of this wouldn't be an issue, because it would likely
already be built to handle difficult encounters with... *gasp* tactics! That just can't happen when you have limited
movement and the first thing the game does when opening the scene is inexplicably part you from your team and
then walk you right in front of the stupidly overpowered bad guy. :/ (And to anyone who has played the game and knows which boss I'm referring to... yes, THAT fight... lol)

My biggest pet peeve while gaming is using the keyboard and me being a clumsy person with a keyboard constantly presses the wrong keys or two keys at once. This is really annoying when I am trying to type stuff in the chats.

Pet peeve: Naturalistic player characters re-adjusting their position - I want to interact with game world object, so I approach it - I get a prompt to interact, but before I have the oportunity to actually interact, my PC adjusts his position, in a very naturalistic fashion - taking a step back from the object.
I step closer - attempt to interact, but since I made a move - and then stopped, this causes the script to re-initiate PC naturalistic re-adjustment of position, so he once again takes a step back and away from interactive object.
    *SPASM*

Witcher is super guilty of this, I would tiptoe around flowers on the ground, STRUGGLING to pick them up!

    /

Cancel being default in "Ok/Cancel" prompts - Most of the time, upon interaction, I am not unconciously derping about, I have a goal - it usually is YES, I want to do the thing I am currently attempting to do. Having Cancel or No be default ends up wasting my time with mis-clicks more than anything else.

I have so many Pet Peeves, I put them in a zoo. Iso games were your party have very little dialogue if you select or rubber band. After you have heard say; " Go for the eyes Boo, go for the eyes" 100s of times, it tends to annoy.
When pics show some character, you meet or need to question. Then the text does not match the pic.
ie pic shows a middle aged woman with blondish hair.
Text says: A girl of about 20 with fiery red hair is holding a strange weapon.

I don't like when a game wastes my time to pad the playtime. So trash mobs that serve no purpose but to slow me down end up annoying me. Pathfinder the post.

    Gaming-related pet peeve:

Clickbaity Youtube videos, especially of the following types

    1. TOP TEN AMAZING SECRETS - when they all are regular quest progressions, and all you have to do is just play the fucking game for more than five minutes.

    2. AMAZING METHOD TO MAKE A MILLION - when regular old gameplay will net you a million, two million, ten million - more money than god, essentially - if only you play the game for more than five minutes

    2.5 - TRY OUT THIS MONEY-GLITCH! ^ see above

    3. YOU'VE BEEN PLAYING IT WRONG, THIS WHOLE TIME - Instead, play it like I'm playing it! I have more fun playing this build, than that build - regardless of you approaching the game within its wide and flexible parameters, you're wrong - switch to melee, shooting is for noobs! Do it now >:O

3.5 - YOU'VE BEEN PLAYING IT WRONG, THIS WHOLE TIME - Actually, all the choices you have are NOT dependent on your role in a role-play immersion, but have a correct vs incorrect approach, and *this* is the correct approach, and *that* is the incorrect one!

When your friend’s little brother plays Xbox while eating apple slices and the juice from the apples seep into the controller so whenever you press a button it feels like you’re pressing a bag of sand and sometimes the button gets stuck in the pressed down position and won’t come back up

I do that with my keyboard, and grains of hasheesh.

Bad news, I only got myself to blame when typing goes wonky
Good news, I can - with some effort, shake half a joint out of my keyboard, should times get really dire
