Well the original manga was all about style. The first tv series for some reason decided to be all serious and humorless even tho the Hellsing manga is ridiculous. The "Hellsing Ultimate" OVAs is where it's at.

I will keep that in mind next time I try to watch anime. Such a chore since I am a broke fuck. Not a huge manage guy either but never tried to pop my cherry too hard. Want to try Berserk and older stuff.

The first Hellsing TV Series also had a terrible Latin American dub (which was rare in that era), they even called Alucard ARUCARD, that's like.... beyond retarded weaboo... Like those people who called Light Yagami "Raito".

Translator's note: It's not Dracula backawards!!!!!!

Oh man, good thing Crunchyroll and simulcasting killed that kind of shit for the most part.

So now it's clear that Kevin Spacey's one of these Hollywood-harassers/molesters. Anyone in Hollywood who isn't a harassers/molester? Anyone?

Also, it's not just that there's a case of 'couple of bad apples', it seems like a much more systemic situation. If 'casting couch' and all that is part of how things are then it's not really an aberration, it's part of how things are over there.

Well, it comes with the business. You have people with power and money, and young and beautiful people full of hopes and dreams that can be easily pushed into doing things they don't really want to. It's not really surprising at all.

Of course this is not a justification, pigs like Weinstein have been pigs in the 70s as well, but a lot of behaviour that is considered inappropiate today was kinda accepted in the 60s and 70s.

You know when I look back at my own family and serbia, it was pretty common that husbands would sometimes beat their wives and my father was really one of the worst, he's an ass no question about that. But what I always ask my self is, why did my mother accept it? She had like thousands of chance to leave him, but she never did.

It's just culture.

My mother divorced my dad and several members of the extended family threat her as immoral, she also helped stage a sting on a teacher who was abusing the female students on his class (Motherfucker was an elementary school teacher btw) and the guy got jailed. Nevertheless many teachers tried to get her retirement pension taken away (they failed) and my grandma even scolded her.

You are not supposed to speak out, specially in overly religious communities.

Not in the case of my mother at least, since we lived at that point in Germany and it was in the 90s. It took her like 35 years to realize that it's about time to leave my father. I still don't know why she staid. She had her own job, a car everything. She was not depending on my father financially to say this.

And House of Cards fans are pissed. They were in the middle of production for the sixth (and final) season, and now that Netflix has severed ties with Kevin Spacey, the future of the series is basically dead. The one time a year I check Facebook and my wall was full of people going "they can't cancel House of Cards, those lousy fucks."

If this is true, then yeah, Spacey deserves this. But as a Stargate fan, a franchise known for it's series constantly ending on cliffhanger series finales... I feel for House of Cards fans.

EDIT: Oh, and Netflix is also refusing to release All the Money in the World, and I'm starting to expect theaters and festivals to drop the movie as well.

I never watched it. I have yet to find a Netflix original series that I actually like. I only have Netflix for the movies and olf series.

House of Cards is shit tho, no harm there.
Ain't stopping them from getting pissed off.

Orange is the New Black had a decent first season, Stranger Things was alright... I can understand not liking them, though. They're certainly not for everyone.

I haven't watched Orange is the new Black.
I found the constant reference dropping in Stranger Things to be utterly obnoxious.
