General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

It is quite hard, human enemies have to die instantly, like one/two of their little shots will drop you, demons you can still deal with as long as you watch and keep moving.

The game's not that tough on Ultraviolence, so I decided to try Nightmare, but holy damn, it really does just turn up the difficultly quite a few more notches unexpectedly.

Damn you MrBumble that makes me nostalgic and I'm tempted to dig out my copy of Daggerfall. :D Problem is I never manage finish any of the started games and start all over again with new chars. :P Oh yes ebony dagger rules!!!
 
I'm playing Medieval Total War 2 because I have not yet picked up Empires. I LOVE total war... right now I'm playing as the Republic of Venice and all my neighbors formed an alliance against me (including the Holy Roman empire) but after not being able to advance for a long time I finally turned a page and started beating back the advancing armies and taking over their settlements. This morning before work I assassinated an emperor and lead a crusade against some unrully neighbors.

If you find that sexy, you have problems. I do seem to have problems with psychotic female A.I. Even GLaDOS from Portal spooked me a little. When she wasn't making me giggle that is.

On the topic. I finally beat Punch-Out!! for the Wii....or so I thought. I started title defence while my friend was here and he was beaten by Glass Joe and made him Champion. Seriously, Glass Joe? Champ? Good god.
 
Just finished replaying Painkiller with expansion, and decided to replay my Serious Sam collection. Started The First Encounter today, damn.. I'm having that good feeling of remembering how much fun these games are. Seriously..
 
At the moment i'm playing BG2, and the game seems to be huge content wise. Didn't expect it to be as good, but it could really use turn based combat, because the combat in that game is just clumsy.
 
Just finished Mysteries of Westgate and had a blast, well worth 10$.

Now Iam playing Stalker with Oblivion Lost mod, its pretty good, only problem i have with the game (except broken respawn and looting) is that the game is too easy. Iam playing on Hell and after you get Ak-47 you just stroll trough the game.

Onto other games Storm of Zehir which is a bit boring but I want to complete it before I try Westgate.

Also playing a lot Saint's Row 2 with a friend as it is just hilarious playing it with someone who can't drive well and is even worse when it comes to flying helicopters.
 
I just borrowed my friend's Nintendo. Also a copy of Mega Man 3. Why was this stuff so much easier when I was a kid?

This was me earlier.

"Alright, Top Man. Easy. Onto Shadow Man. Cake Walk. Then Electric Man. Easy. Onto Hard Man. Okay let me just use the spark cannon and......fuck....what the.....FUCK!! I need magnet missles! Goodamnit!"

Seriously, being an ignorant child makes things so much easier.

EDIT: I know I got some of the generic enemy names wrong.
 
hehe, I know. you were a much better gamer when you were a kid. hell, I could sit for days with a boss/quest/puzzle and just keep trying until I got somewhere. these days I break down and look in a walkthrough after max 20 mins...

but when it comes to Mega Man, or more precisely Mega Man 2, it's still on pure routine for me. I hadn't played the game in years, then popped it in at a friends place while we were getting drunk. I beat it in no time, remembering every little detail. I was quite amazed at my own skills to be honest.
 
Went and bought a Sega 16 bit Mega Drive. That actually works.
From a flee market. For 20€ , and it came with games.
Now playing Sonics 1-3
Damn they are fun.

Similar situation with me playing Super Mario World or Sonic nowadays. Levels that were a cake walk back in the day take a really long time for me to finish them now. At least I suck about equally at Battletoads as I did when I was a kid.
