General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I still play the 360 version of borderlands every now then with my brother. Thinking of getting the Knoxx and Assasin DLC's because I love Claptrap humour.

Hello Alphadrop,

Claptrap's New Robot Revolution is a little bit disappointing compared to The Secret Armory.
However that expansion is mostly so big because of the long travel time between objectives, not because of a long mission tree.

The problem with Claptrap is that the main 'campaign' is rather short and the side missions are often repetitive.

Once again the hub area is nicer than most of the locations in the main Borderlands game.

Phooey, hopefully fighting waves of claptraps will help mask the problems.
Anywho playing HL: Opposing Force, man it takes a while to get the high def pack working with it. Had to reinstall OpFor twice to get it recognised.

Edit: Also I want to play Dead Rising 2 purely because of this gif.

Not trying to shoot down your interest Alphadrop, but there really aren't that much Claptrap encounters.

There are spots on the new maps were dozens of the little buggers show up, but a lot of the other enemies are simply reskinned enemies from regular Borderlands who are now 'clap-trapified' (think Borg assimilation).

Replacing the Crimson Lance is Hyperion's own private army.
I don't mind also seeing some being part of the new Claptrap army but I would have loved to see more encounters with them fighting Claptraps, rather than all against you the whole time.

There is sadly also little variety in the Claptrap appearances and capabilities.
The ones with ranged weapons don't hold their gun like a regular enemy does, and I honestly would have liked to see more funny dressed ones like cowboys, minutemen and pirates to make them more colorful. (it makes sense if you play the game)

Oh I didn't have too high an expectation of the DLC, it is DLC after all.

Have seen some of the claptrapified enemies and I was hoping for a more nuts and bolts look than the bright blue lines everywhere thing.

Do Hyperion fight against you or with you? Was hard to tell during the footage I saw.

The jokes in the Borderlands DLC are fucking hilarious as always though. I rolled at hearing the BioShock "Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?" speech adapted into this.

Sadly, they are just another opponent.

It would be nice if you ran into friendly 'replaceable' allies.

I've been playing a lot of Minecraft recently... I'd heard so much about it, I just had to try it. Pretty addictive for a buggy alpha version that was made by just one guy. I've probably dumped quite a few hours into it already.

Same, I would of put more time into it but I was jumped by a skeleton on my first night and have been to scared to go back. :P

Shame about Hyperion being just another opponent, would be nice to have some allies for once.

It's fascinating how afraid of the dark you can be in minecraft, considering the scariest thing you encounter is a pile of comical-looking cubes. Must. Place. Torches!

im currently playing starcraft 2, the witcher (damn vista bug) and the the sims 3 (i didnt like the adventure expansion) im thinking on getting the ambitions expancion pack

I like Ambitions, it isn't great but it adds some nice stuff.
Though I'm more excited about Late Night coming out at the end of the month.

Dead Rising 2, just about finishing up on it. I didn't find myself enjoying it as much as I remembered enjoying the first for some reason. Anyone else played it? Thoughts?

Also Minecraft is worse than crystal meth...

I just gave my thoughts on it in the co-op gaming thread.

I am playing Left 4 Dead 2 right now. Just bought it a couple days ago because Steam is sexy with its $6 sells.

Minecraft is terribly addicting, and the amount of skins keep me coming back every time I get bored out of my skull.

I got bored with Demon's souls, since I have no clue what the hobbob is about.

I am trying to finish some old games, Phantasy Star IV, Shining Force II, and I'll probably get on with Valkria Chronicles, Ar Tonelico 1, and Shin Megami Tensei.

I am debating about Civ 5.

Witcher had a Vista bug? Can you elaborate?
