General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I dodge, actualy I dodge a lot actualy, I am by the part when the Centipede Demon appears for the first time, I beat it but i na moment of distarction two of the Electric Dominatrixes comboed me.
 
Played the Battlefield 3 Beta. The graphics are quite impressive, not sure I can say the same thing about the gameplay though. I played through 3 different maps and they all felt like COD. No destructable enviroments in any of them. To be honest I am kind of disappointed with the demo.

Just blasted through Captain America that I rented at Redbox now I'm about to start Civ 5.

Shoot at some of the road barricades. They'll disintegrate under fire. But I think they're holding back the big guns for destruction 3.0 until release day.
 
Started playing through the games I bought during this summer's Steam sale.

Currently 5 hours into Torchlight, a good thing Runic released a difficulty editor because Normal turned out to be a bit easy. (and I'm by no means an advanced hack n slash player.)

Pretty cool game.


Anyone else looking forward to the sequel?
 
Still playing IWD again, having a blast. Although I'm stuck at the moment, that b*tch is hard to kill on insane difficulty levels. :x

Unfortunatly I am playing it on a SD TV so I can't really answer that question. :facepalm:

But it sure looks sweet, even on a regular TV.
 
Finished Gears 3, so many questions left to ask. Heck they even ask them in the game and they don't get answered.
Game completely stolen by Carmine in the last fight. :monocle:
 
I don't think the Battlefield 3 Beta is lacking destruction. I personally use the Stinger missile launcher to open walls up and piss off Support gunners. There aren't too many people who play Engineer, so I suppose that might be why.
 
The Metro level could have been a COD level, Caspian Border is a little better but I don't see why this is called Battlefield 3 instead of Bad Company 2.5. This beta certainly didn't convince me to pre order or install EA spyware on my PC Master System©. :monocle:

I absolutely loved the first The Darkness game.
This together with RAGE and Prey 2 are three games I am really looking forward to.

I loved Darkness as well but I don't know how I feel about this second one. Not digging the cell shading and it's not being done by Starbreeze. I have yet to play a good Digital Extremes game.

Prey 2 is something I'm really looking forward to also, although I wish they didn't replace Tommy with some badass space cop.

Anyways, just played the Starcraft 2 demo. Cheesy as hell but I still want to see what happens! Don't want to pay $60 to unlock a freaking digital copy though. Hope this thing is on sale soon.

I agree. That's what also worries me a little. I remember playing through Dark Sector, and I can clearly remember that I was scratching my head until very last minutes of the game, as a result of the god awful story of course.
I just hope they stick to the formula that made the original The Darkness so great and make a decent plot for the game.
 
Well, Garth Ennis wrote the story for the first game so if he's coming back to do it, huzzah.

If not and they get some of the original guys who wrote the comic, then BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP.

Cuz the comic sucks ass.
 
That and besides, I doubt Gustaf Grefberg will be making the score this time around which is a real shame:

Finished the Final Assassin's tomb in Asscreed2. Now I have Altair's kickass armor, that is not only funtionally awesome, but looks fucking bad ass especially with the gold Carneval mask.

But I still would't pay full price for the next Asscreed games, they still infuriate me at times.
