General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Still mooching about in Dark Souls, managed to get Siegmeyer's Shield so can finally style in full Onion Bro gear.
Getting my arse kicked in ToG, I play a lot worse when nervous and pitch black combat with undead clerics tag teaming my slow ass is a very nervous experience indeed.

So, as you know, GFWL is going kapoot, and Arkham City can now be activated on Steam and you get the GOTY version if you had it on GFWL.... Problem is my Retail CD Key isn't working, I rechecked it twice and Steam keeps saying invalid key. Does anybody have a solution for that? I googled and found nothing, maybe some of you had the same problem and found a solution? thanks.

Hmm...it's probably not it, but did you type it exactly like it is in the box?
As in, capital letters are capital, hyphens are where they are supposed to be etc.

The Misadventures of Tron Bonne,
Did you tried Megaman legend 1&2?

Hello woo1108,

I played Mega Man Legends 2 before I played The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, [/quote].

I rather liked this game, while there is some stuff I would have rather seen done different, it is only cosmetic in general.

Now I can also see why fans were very displeased that Capcom canceled Mega Man Legends 3, and I consider myself one of them.

Yeah, everything exactly as the 1 fold manual has.

Halfway trough Alan Wake now and i must say that the game is great and i can't wait to unravell this mystery :P Unless of course it is as i'm currently guessing..

Didn't think it was that, anyway.

I dunno then.

Going by RPS is seems a lot of fellers key's aren't working on Steam. No fix apart from contacting... someone I guess.

Maybe you could send a photo the the people responsible of your case/manual as proof of purchase. I remember you could do that with blizzard if you lost your key and they'd just send you a new one. ymmv.

So basicly I just shipped my pants over realizing there was an entire richard burns rally supermod consisting of over 100+ new cars and tracks. Having only ever played vanilla, I'm extremely excited! The game just grew at least three times bigger with this mod.

It's called RSRBR. Probably no one here interested but hey. Go play DiRT or some other shitty racing game.

Path of Exile, a Free to play ARPG long in the making what just came out on Steam. It's pretty fun and well-made, with a shit-ton of possible builds. It's less a skill tree than a skill forest, honestly, albeit all of it is passives, most of them boring (+5% sword damage!). Actual skills use a more interesting system, being tied to gems you socket in weapons.

To say the game is, otherwise, a throwback to Diablo 2 is putting it lightly. It's not a copy-paste, but it's very clear what game the devs are basing themselves on, hell even the minimap looks almost identical, and the itemization is almost copied word for word.

Still, lots of fun is to be had, and it looks pretty damn good to boot, especially for a F2P indie game.

Me too.
Although I can't say Megaman legen series is masterpiece but it has great potential. it's too bad that potential is wasted.
and I love Megaman legend series.

currently replaying Thief gold and Fez.
it's fun to drag zombie to fight against Hammerite
and for Fez, since I didn't know about "The brown fox jumps over the lazy dog", it was too hard understand it was hint.
after learn about alphabet, I found the regularity of alphabet.
very funny. rotation wasn't only for screen

Oh I agree, while MML2 is very playable in general there are still a few kinks in the gameplay I would have liked to have seen fixed in a sequel and possibly a remake. (for example, splitting special weapons from tools and make each their own category).

Also regarding level design I would have liked to have seen some more improvements.
And if they want to be like Zelda, why not put in some Zelda like puzzles to scratch our grey matter? I wouldn't mind.

For level design, MML 1 has awesome dungeon [spoiler:c610fe9e80]All the dungeons are connected each other[/spoiler:c610fe9e80] that was really fantastic reversal. MML2's dungeon is also a good but it can be better.

I haven't played Mega Man Legends 1 so I did not know about the dungeon.
All my experiences are based on MML2 and Tron Bonne. BTW the Nakkai ruins dungeon was a good design as well.

I found it a bit annoying that tools like the drill would take the same room as weapons like the machine gun or the missile launcher, forcing you sometimes to backtrack needlessly.

most aspect of MML1 was imporved at MML2 but for explorarion, MML1 still better than MML2 for me.
maybe because MML2's dungeons are seperated each other.

Tron Bonne's concept itself was really awesome.
play as a villan! how great! and Tron bonne's robots are funny, puzzles are fun but adventure part wasn't that good to me though. too bad it's small game.

It is a shame that Capcom did not consider remaking MML1 with the improvements of MML2 (and later perhaps do what I suggested; separating special weapons and tools to their own category)

BTW, can you explain to me how the life shield would have worked in Mega Man Legends 1?

For Tron Bonne, I wish there had been some more levels with the Gustaff as I enjoyed those the most.
The puzzle stuff was okay but at some point I felt it slowed the game rather down as you sometimes had to reset puzzles up to a dozen times before you finally could pass them.

for Tron bonne, I think it would be better to be more like sandbox not just select stage to do something.

for me, most annoying thing is that game itself is story driven game though game's concept and world design was designed as a openworld game. if Inafune kage
make sequel of MML or spritual succesor of MML, I want him to make more non-linear game play game.
let player learn the world, explore the world and save the world by himself.

Life shield? for weak damage it will protect you for some hit, but for strong damage, shield will broken until you fix it with some item or healed by Data.

for remaking, I think it's not a good idea to simply import improvements from 2 since game itself was designed with old method. for this, I think Sequelities: castlevania explained well.

funny thing is, Tron bonne's japanese name is kobun of Trone which indicate that main protagonist of this game is kobun.

Talking about MML, there's PC version of MML1.
too bad they didn't made MML2's PC version.

Regarding non linearity, yes that would be quite interesting.
Perhaps going a little Metroid/Zelda with some areas locked off until you have found the right item, as in Tron Bonne.

But not, first this dungeon, than that dungeon, and so on when you can already travel to the various dungeons in the beginning.

I meant back in the day (Capcom going back to MML1 after they finished MML2). If they remade both games now I would like to see a lot more changes in the controls and the gameplay while updating the rest in the games.

I know of the PC version of MML1 but it was not as well received as the Playstation version due to barely any improvements and no use of the mouse like many console-to-pc conversions back in the day.

Isn't Kobun the Japanese name for the serve bots?
